5oz baked stuffed scrod with mashed potatoes and mixed veggies
    Caitlin C.

The food is about as good as I remember it being for wholesome take out but the entire set up and ordering process has changed making it feel more like a ghost town and very cold inside. The menu is still filled with the traditional classic entrees which I had the 5oz baked stuffed scrod with mixed veggies and mashed potatoes; the fish was dry but a nice cut, the vegetables were overcooked but not overly soggy and the mashed potatoes were spot on. Definitely the perfect homemade meal I was craving.

My boo called this "sweet strawberry lemonade. Flavor was bomb. Not too froyo'ey, not slushy or sherberty, but a mix of it all. Nice texture

I try not to eat in my neighborhood. Everything is bland and boring. For 10 years, I drove past this place and never thought to check it out. Someone insisted I check this place out because they have a self serve ice cream shop that I would love. I wasnt interested in cheating on JP Licks with some random mini market, but I was forced to check it out. When I stepped in the place, the smell of BBQ chicken smacked me in face. Eyes wide open, stomach now growling, I danced past the yummy home cooked section, peeped the pizza cafe where you can create your own pizza and twirled into the froyo station. I was stuck in the topping section. Caramel, blueberries, butterscotch, oreo, cap'n cruch, strawberries, marshmallow, gummies, crumbled brownie, walnuts, kiwi, more drizzlies and candies that I can name. I went str8 for the tart froyo and went to town on my favorite toppings. Good, good, good. I picked my son up a dinner plate with bbq chix, mac n cheese and mashed w/gravy. He enjoyed it. The staff was friendly. Food, good. I'll be back to dance around the froyo bar.

I didn't see what all the fuss is about. The place is dirty. Cashiers are just clueless. Very small servings for the price. Don't bother

Not being from this area, I was very interested to try the food at Dotty's. Not only did it exceed my expectations, I will travel back here for another dinner. What made Dotty's so exceptional....from the bolognese (with homemade pasta), to the smash burger sliders, to the desserts to the out of this world A+ service by Deb and Marina. I asked to speak with the GM - Emily - to congratulate the team at Dotty's. Emily was beyond kind and gracious and thanked me for the feedback. Dotty's is 100% worth the visit. Formerly known as The Townshend, this Quincy local restaurant is the best place for exceptional service, fantastic food, creative cocktails and am Ambiance that will sure impress any date. This might be my 3rd or 5th review because why not! When you find a place that you love you brag about it. For starters we shared their fried pickles with their homemade ranch dressing. We also love their stuffed dates. For entrees, I had their Salmon which is always cooked to perfection. My husband's had their Steak Frites which he enjoyed very much. Dessert is always a tough choice since all of them are excellent but this time we went with their brownie sundae. After plenty of glasses of wine and some dirty martinis let's just say we didn't want to leave but it was getting late. If you have never been to Dotty's or their other restaurants I highly recommend checking them out! Cheers

Sunday Brunch Buffet…read more I was impressed with the brunch buffet, and Mason's in general. The restaurant was stunning and everyone loves sn open view if the kitchen. The buffet was epic- perfectly cooked baked eggs, bacon hash, and scrambled eggs were all uniquely prepared and excellent. The star of the show sat in the middle of the table with generous portions of prime rib were carved and hand salted on your plate. The buffet line continued with a lox platter, crudité, omelets to order, and a variety of up scale pastries. There was literally nothing on the buffet that was not noteworthy. We loved our drinks (bloody & cinnamon toast brunch) while the GM came over to chat. Our waitress Cheyanne was on point and helped us decide on our juice choices for the Bucket of Bubbles that rounded out our drink order. Excited to try dinner at this place, and would not be surprised if brunch reservations start to fill up far in advance.

There is no reason to make a table wait 10 to 15 minutes to get their drinks when the bar is 50 feet from the table and we can clearly see there are 3-4 people behind the bar not doing anything. The food is not made upon ordering. I tried to order the penne vodka without the bacon in the sauce. I was told that "that's the way it comes." So it was pretty clear that the cook is not making any sauce when you order it. (This isn't a red sauce that takes hours.) The pasta is from a box so the prices that they charge for it are not justified. Overly loud Spanish love ballad music was playing at 5 PM in this nearly empty restaurant. Between that and the gigantic white feather decorations just over my partner's head I would say the vibes were off. My partner had seen this restaurant while walking around and thought it could be a good place to try out. He was pretty upset that the restaurant was so meh and that he took me there for my birthday. Bad music. Bad decor. Bad service. Mediocre food.

After doing a quick TikTok search, I was prompted to try out this chicken sandwich from Rubato. We walked over and actually missed it on the street because it's so tiny. After realizing it, we turned around and to our surprise, there were several people inside eating and others waiting. This must be a good sign. We walked in and it was the most casual, laid-back establishment. The green color scheme and plants gave it a more earthy vibe, which I absolutely loved. Since we didn't necessarily know what to order we decided to split the fried chicken bolo. When I tell you, I have not stopped thinking about that sandwich since I ate it, I'm not kidding. It was absolutely delicious. My husband, who was resistant to even going in the first place, kept telling everyone around town about it. We will not skip a beat when in Quincy next to visit this establishment. Thanks for an awesome experience.

Ever since Double Chin Restaurant in Chinatown closed (may she rise again), I've been on a mission to find a worthy fried chicken bolo bao. My friend and I trudged into Rubato on a cold, rainy day, hoping for a replacement. Spoiler alert: we did not find one. We ordered four items: rice rolls with curry fish balls, an egg custard lava bun, Ovaltine French toast, and the fried chicken bolo bao. The rice rolls were mild but fine, topped with enough cilantro and scallion to keep it interesting. The lava bun was hot, gooey, and did its job. (GOOD JOB, LAVA BUN!) The Ovaltine French toast? Eh, it aite. But here's the heartbreak: the chicken bolo bao. The chicken wasn't hot; it had that "sat around" feeling. And the bun? Just a dressed-up brioche, missing that true bo lo bao magic. A brioche bun with a crackly top is not a bo lo bao, my dudes. In short, everything was edible, but nothing made me want to come back. (It's not like watching like a hawk for an empty seat and swooping in the moment one opens up is any fun.) The chicken deserved better.
