The aguachile verde had an amazing flavor and paired well with tortilla chips. The oysters were fresh and delicious, especially with hot sauce and cocktail sauce. The bowl of gumbo was decently fine. The customer service was a little slow but still friendly. It took some time to be helped at the front counter. The inside of the restaurant was spacious. Lewisville location let me down but the chef at the 75 location understood the assignment. We sat at the bar and Luis was our server. He was so cool and knowledgeable. He rocked that bar as it was super busy on a Sunday afternoon. He is a well oiled machine! They have a live band as well. Great atmosphere! Ordered the salmon trio and calamari. Salmon was on point and redeemed my faith in the place. It was cooked nicely and had shrimp and crab topping in a cream sauce. My kinda dish right there! Calamari was just rings. We went around 1130a and there were two people ahead of us in line, you order at the counter, get a number then they bring the food out to you. For the most part the food looks exactly the same, except this place serves a cod fish (no picture) as well as the catfish. It's sort of a beer batter, but not quite. It's definitely not cornmeal. I enjoyed it and I added about 3 fried shrimp to my cod and fries order and it was very good. I recommend ordering the cod because it is not overly greasy compared to a true beer battered fish. This place is huge!! and it could hold private parties in a separate room. They have quite a few televisions to watch your favorite games. If you've ever been to Aw Shucks or Big Shucks, this is basically the same thing other than a few extra items on the menu. We walk in and there's a sign right by the door "Please wait to be seated" but no one came to greet us. After a while, we found out you order and seat yourself, but only after my dad asked someone behind the counter. My family of 7 came in before the lunch rush and despite repeating our large order back to us and asking us questions about our combos, they still didn't give us one of our meals that they somehow forgot to charge us for even though they asked us what type of shrimp we wanted for that specific meal. I ordered the Buffalo wings. They were okay, not too spicy, but filling, especially with all the steak fries (those were delicious). I ordered the boiled shrimp as an appetizer. It was seasoned perfectly, chilled perfectly. That made it easy to peel and eat. I ordered the shrimp po-boy which was really very good. I had to get more dressing because it was a little dry for my taste. I like my sandwiches to be a little juicer. My boyfriend and I usually go to Aw Shucks (Greenville) for our favorite seafood platter but I think we just found our new favorite spot!! The crabs, the shrimps, corn, potatoes and sausages from the seafood combo platter were so well-flavored and delicious. Not to mention, the crabs were big and juicy as heck. Keep in mind that this place does wet rub for the seafood platter and not dried rub like Aw Shucks. And if you're not a big fan of spicy food, go ahead and let the staff know and they can accommodate you with the sauce on the side (That's what we did). We also really liked the hush puppies and ceviche served with medium-sized tortilla chips. The space is really big with a lot of tables. We went on a Friday night and the room was nearly full! There's also a bar if you want some dranksss with your seafood. They also have a stage where they set up karaoke every Friday night! How fun! The manager was kind enough to go round asking people to sign up to sing. Customer service was great. Even though business was very busy on the night we came, the staff was doing a great job holding down the fork and still came by to check on us every once in a while. Going by my wife's recommendation from a visit over a year ago, I decided to give it a try. Unfortunately it was not what I was thinking it would be. Started off with Clam Chowder with clams non a plenty. It was more like an off base potato soup. I kid you not. No taste to it what so ever. Then I ordered a Shrimp Po Boy. Bread was good even above the cut, but again no taste to it. Two good things was beer was cold and Onion Rings were actually very good. Wife had same experiance with her dish as well. Went here for a quick lunch today because it's been several months since visiting the spot, and I had a taste for catfish. It didn't take long before I realized (remembered) why I try to stay away from this place. I approached the bar and as usual never receive a warm welcome. "Are you ready" was the greeting I received and it was not the 1st time. I ordered the staple 3 fillets with fries and a drink. She took my order, placed the receipt on the bar for me to signed and quickly joined her fellow worker at the counter between the food prep and the cashiers station. With their backs turned, I waited for 2 to 3 minutes to simply ask "Do I need a number on a stick or do I just go sit down"? Granted, the two ladies looked back at me several times, but did not bother to ask if I needed anything. When I order, I always ask, "Extra Tarter Please", and of the 20 to 30 times I've been there, they never deliver on the request, not to mention, when the waitress delivers the food, I politely ask for extra tarter after food arrives, it comes about 50% of the time, and I usually find myself back at the cashier booth looking at the backs of the women working, waiting for an opportunity to ask (again) for extra tartar sauce. DAMN !!!!! Let's be honest, the food here is exactly the same as all other fried fish basket joints: fish N Tails, Big Shucks, Ah Shucks, The Flying Fish, The Fish Shack (Plano) and all the others, nothing different. The only separation that can be delivered is price and service. Although their prices are on par with the rest, the service SUCKS and is by far the worst in my opinion! There's another Fish N Tails a few blocks up 75 off beltline I believe, and probably well worth my money to go the extra mile to avoid this service. This is the newest and third location of my favorite seafood spot. This one is much bigger than the belt line location so it has plenty of seating. The good here is as good as their other two locations. Luckily it's conveniently located close to my office so I get to take advantage of he lunch specials. Fridays are my favorite. I visited this place during lunch with coworkers. I noticed that the menu included many options including fried seafood platters, boiled seafood and a few grilled options. The decor was your typical nautical fishing theme. It wasn't too crowded or noisy. We ordered at the counter and were given a number so that we could be served at our table which we selected. I orders the grilled trio which came with tilapia, shrimp, crab rice and veggies with a lemon cream sauce. I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of flavor and freshness of the dish. The cream sauce was great! It had capers in it as well. Omg! Everything was delicious! The veggies were perfectly sautéed and a great compliment to the dish.
