We were seated pretty fast and chips and salsa was brought out quickly. A lot of customers and big groups were already here. The interior of the place is laid out nicely. Has normal tables and chairs and booth seating. They also have 3 long table seating areas for families and group get togethers. The mens restroom was newly remodeled and spotless. I ordered the Enchilada Dinner and wife ordered the quesadillas. The waitresses were all dressed in black clothing, no name tags though. Our waitress checked backed on us numerous times. Food arrived hot and fresh. Mine was good, the Taco was very good wish it was bigger. Wife's quesadillas was very large and full of cheese and chicken. The flour tortillas come 4 to an order and very good. The bar area is real nice and setup along the back wall dead center of restaurant. Average food, poor service. I showed up on Sunday around 1 p.m. I would say they were not very busy, not as busy as I would have expected for Sunday noon. I walked in the door and there was no hostess, no one came to seat me. I walked over to the cashier and said, "one." So I sat down and the waitress brought me the menu. When she took my order, I sat there and waited, and waited and waited. I thought maybe the kitchen was busy because it took so long to get my simple order which was straight off the menu. Finally when she brought the plate, the plate was cold. The melted cheese on top of my beans and enchiladas had already solidified. The plate had been sitting so long that everything was barely warm if at all. After I finished eating, I sat and waited for my check, and waited, and waited. I left a generous tip knowing I would probably never go back. I finally walked up to the cashier and paid my check. What kind of restaurant doesn't have a manager who is observant enough to see food sitting for extended periods of time? Why didn't the chef say run it out to the table? How simple is it to deliver an order to one person at one table rather than let it sit and become cold? Do they not have hot trays or hot tables or heat lamps back there in the kitchen? The food was average, not bad but NOT worth a second trip when there are plenty of Mexican restaurants from which to choose in the neighborhood. Seriously, go someplace else first and you'll probably have better food and a better experience. Although I drive by this restaurant several times a week, I won't be back. Once was enough. read more

Come for the food and leave with a massive headache. I get live music, it's great. But it's too damn loud. The tables around us were screaming to talk to each other. I watched people walk to the door open it and immediately turn around, I would have done the same but I was there and hungry. Service is horrible. Our orders weren't correct and we had to flag down another waitress because ours disappeared. Instead of correcting the mistake and bringing the correct enchiladas she took the entire plate and just brought back the correct enchiladas and not the rest of my food I was eating. Very nice place to hangout on the weekend and enjoy a nice meal in nice ambience. Our waitress was excellent providing efficient and friendly service. We ordered the shrimp cocktail which had a nice taste and had plenty of good shrimp. The fajitas for two was also a good selection. The beef was perfectly seasoned accompanied by rice and beans which were also very good. Not to forget about the homemade flour tortillas, they were so good!!! The restaurant recently opened, it's spacious with plenty of tables...so, there's plenty of space for big parties. The family, and I came here on Sunday around the noon hours...so glad that we did. The staff were very welcoming and attentive. As for the food, this restaurant does their corn, and flour tortillas fresh daily. You can just smell the tortillas being made as they're preparing the food. You can order your typical Mexican, and Seafood dishes and for the small tykes, they have burgers that are done right. What impressed me is that they had several dishes that a Vegetarian like myself can enjoy too. I highly recommend the Cheese Gorditas with their rice, and beans (the refried beans don't have meat). The Gorditas were nicely done with Mexican melted cheese...they were delicious. FYI, as the waitress for the spicier hot sauce...he or she will bring it to you when asked. Note: On Sundays around the noon hour, they have a Mariachi Band. And they were rocking the place!!! :) Note: Their Aguas Frescas are on point!!! You have to approach the bar for refills and the refills have no ice. When you ask for a refill and ice they forget. On top of that, we asked three different people for refills and for a plate of beans. Then you have to ask again but by then it's too late and are done eating. There were a total of 4 waitress but none of them cared to check on us. But the table next to us had a larger party and we're ordering alcoholic drinks so their chips and refills were overflowing. There were about 10 tables for two waitresses. But she preferred to clean tables rather than take care of clients. Also, bathrooms were super slippery. They have a cool band on Friday's called Son Yema Ya. This is a cool band that really knows how to make the atmosphere fun. The place itself was busy but the staff seemed to make due. We just sat at the bar and drank while listening to the band. My GF ordered the shrimp cocktail and she seemed to like it. The male bartender was on point and seemed to be able to handle the bar patrons. He had a female bartender with him but she was not very useful and never noticed when someone needed a drink. We went last week & thought we had found a new favorite place. It was wonderful! So, I know they have the ability. Imagine my surprise when we went this Friday night. It was horrible. We sat at the bar...the only ones. They weren't busy! The server took my boyfriend's drink order without so much as a glance in my direction. Finally, he was able to get a water for me. Same thing for food. I'm not sure what she had against me, but she did not even look at me. When our food came, we had to find our own silverware.
