Great food and beautiful location! They get busy so you may not get an ideal seat but if you get lucky, you'll get one with an umbrella! We shared the clam chowder, bao buns, crab sandwich, fish and chips, and the kids ate the cheeseburger and fries. The winner was the clam chowder. One of the best I've ever had. I have always wanted to try Fish restaurant out for awhile since seeing it on tik tok. We came here on a Saturday and it was not too busy. We tried the fish and chips, fish taco and 6 oysters. The tartar sauce is made in house and had just the right tang. The Alaskan cod was fired to perfection. Not overly battered or oily. It was seasoned perfectly. For the oysters I liked the little baby ones. It was so fresh and it was so smooth when slurping it from the shell. The first tacos was my least favorite. It was 3 for $22. Which is really pricy for the tacos. The fish itself was not my favorite. Not sure if it was because of the seasoning or just the fish itself. We asked the manager if we could switch to a tuna sandwich. Which he did allow us to switch. They offer in door and out door seating. I have a weird relationship with beans. Growing up, I was used to beans stewed in a deer chili made by my father, a frequent hunter. Hunting was a "bonding" activity that more-so suited him rather than me. I was often ridiculed for wanting to stay inside and play games, while my brother was lauded and grew closer with my father through their shared love for preying on game. There is obviously no better bonding activity than (figuratively) watching paint dry as one waits for their one and only chance in the day to catch a defenseless, pure hearted animal. For what it's worth I don't hate deer chili. I kind of associate it with the canned beef stuff which is by no means bad. Anyways these white beans are really good and I suspect they're cooked in the seafood broth. One of the best meals I've had in Sausalito. Had the dungeness crab roll, and I still dream about it to this day. The roll was perfectly soft, buttery, and slightly crunchy. It meshed so well with the crab, which was moist and packed with crab. Salad that went with it was good, didn't remember it too much. Also had a bite of the KFC bao tacos (not pictured), and was very surprised how much I liked it. Perfectly fried, and the sauce on the baos/chicken was so good. There's a bunch of outdoor benches outside, and it's by the sea, so it's the perfect place to go to during a sunny summer day. The set up is you order first then sit down, and they bring your food out (which took some time). Here's what I had: FISH AND CHIPS - $24 Crispy beer-battered Alaskan true cod, served with housemade tartar sauce and wedge fries. You get 3 hunks of the fish and they were pretty darn good! The wedge fries are served super hot so be careful, and they were well seasoned. This dish is a solid one, and I recommend sharing with someone. THE FISH SMASH BURGER - $28 Double patties of ground seasoned trout on an Acme sesame seed bun with white American cheese, pickled onion and housemade tartar. Although it doesn't say, this fish burger comes with a side of house fries, but we decided to add $2 for a side of CESAR SALAD instead! I enjoyed it, and the wedges, so no need for more fried potato things. The burger itself was pretty good and hefty. I can see why it came with 2 patties because they are thin.
