Not sure who thought this would work but it definitely does not. Also doesn't look like anyone had a plan of what they wanted the space to be. Live music? DJ? The acoustics are going to be awful. It's a massive space with a bunch of tables and nothing else. It's quite simply just odd. As for the food, it's not good. Anyone who says otherwise is lying. Pretty bland and nothing is fresh. It's also outrageously overpriced. Chicken fajitas were meh and they were $27.00. We got shrimp and they were rubbery and came in a plastic bag, which was in a bucket. Weird. Also, no silverware. Only plastic. Just a headscratcher all around. The website says they have happy hour but they didn't have a separate menu. Just two dollars off drinks is what w were told. Probably why it was empty at 5:30. Also weird. They have this huge space and don't seem to have any idea what to do with it. Drinks were the same as the food. Wildly overpriced and the bartender didn't seem to know what they were doing. So, fitting for the overall concept. The mall this place is in is a dump. There is a Mexican restaurant next door. I mention this because there is the crab/seafood menu and then there is an extensive Mexican food menu as well. I wonder if they just get the Mexican food from the restaurant next door? I don't know, nothing wrong in that. The tables have a paper "tablecloth" on them with plastic utensils. The reason for this is they don't use plates. They just bring you your seasoned seafood in a double plastic bag, and it is dumped out onto the paper "tablecloth". I saw this happening at the only other occupied table and immediately lost my appetite. My wife, undeterred, ordered some mussels. Ordinarily, we'll also order vegetables with any meal, but the side servings of vegetables are priced like filet mignon. I asked if I ordered the chips & guacamole, did it come with a serving of salsa? Alas, our server said no. What does a tiny amount of salsa cost a restaurant? 50 cents? So, I stuck with a glass of water. I was done. I couldn't bring myself to eat here. My wife ate a few of the mussels, digging them out from the plastic bags with her plastic fork. She said they were "ok" but we paid and departed, after a very poor experience. No pictures because I wasn't in the mood.

It's true to its word. Fresh, delicate, light, harmonious in every sense of the word. Flavorful beyond flavor. The PoBoy was delicious, as the shrimp popped, the remoulade sauce incredible, tangy and sweet but not overpowering. The Jerk Chicken Mac-n-Cheese was the perfect pair between savory and succulence. It's a different-looking brioche than I'm used to, but it's delicious! I ordered the burger medium, and it was perfectly cooked. We also ordered truffle fries and seasoned sweet potato fries for the table. Both were excellent, the fries had the perfect texture and just the right amount of seasoning. In the past, I've ordered the Hummus Wrap, which is also delicious. It sounds and looks simple, but the flavors are a really nice combination of warm and bright. The ambiance is clean and welcoming. The servers are usually the restaurant owners themselves, and they're consistently generous and attentive. It's no surprise Fusion Grill has stood the test of time.
