Joseph's service was over the top ! outstanding customer service ! The food was 7/10 but the service was the best I have ever experienced !

Been twice on business trips, and disappointed both times. Don't eat meat so have had fish - - not good. Over priced, over cooked, over sauced, and totally covered in a bad sauce to cover up the bad fish. Definitely not fresh. Having lived in NW Washington I can guarantee that I did not get "fresh Alaska King Salmon". Only redeeming quality was the nice bartender at the outside bar. Won't be back. read more

A-mazing. The food here is so fresh and delicious. They make the house salad right at the table for you and serve it very nicely. When you eat here expect it to be a two-hour dinner. The service is very in-depth but slow. The explain the entire menu for you which is nice and helpful. There specials are all incredible and the ambiance is great. Was not expecting this place to be so packed during the middle of the week but it seems to be one of the more popular spots in the Lake Mary area. Upscale-type menu with good service and nice ambiance. I loved the outdoor area that includes a bar area and several tables. The food was great with a variety of seafood and non-seafood options. Don't come here expecting to find major surprises on the menu, they stay pretty traditional but they do it well. read more

I'm a huge fan of FishBones happy hour. Delicious apps and drinks you can't beat anywhere in town! The atmosphere on the outside bar/deck is perfect. Service can be hit or miss depending how many are in your group but all in all everything is great here! read more

We had been vacationing in Florida for a week, and on our last evening there were looking for some good fresh seafood. Did a quick search for a somewhere that also offered gluten-free choices, and found FishBones. The food and service were tremendous. I went to FishBones for dinner in June 2017, the place took a nose dive in terms of presentation and value. 1- I checked by phone and they were suppose to offer us bread and salad as soon as we set, there was no bread and there was no salad offered!!!!!! 2- Bringing drinks we did not order. 3- One of their staff was so visibly upset talking to the other staff in a very bad mood in front of all customers as if we were not around. 4. The waitress told me they do not serve any cocktails... What !!! is there any restaurant classy or cheap that do not serve cocktails!!!! Why? What are you guys doing? what kind of business FishBones are in if they do not offer cocktails. read more

I read all the reviews. I looked at all the lists. I was staying at the Marriott right next-door to this place. I was leery, but I went. I'm glad I did. At first blush it seems like another place with an identity crisis, sushi, fish, steak house. A nice looking, yet sprawling place with indoor, outdoor and various bar seating. You need to order smart here, but if you do it is very rewarding. The waiter told me of a special, and then told me it was hit or miss tonight, I really appreciated that. I ended up having the grilled whole snapper with Bahama rice and beans and a house salad, it was killer. Hot throughout, and not dry or overcooked, a miracle. As many have done before, I unfairly judge Orlando as a culinary wasteland. I can say without hesitation, this was the best meal I've ever had in Orlando read more

Stopped in for happy hour. Price were ok, not to happy with drinks. Felt like I spent 6 bucks on juice. Calamari could have been much more crispy and the sushi don't seem to be fresh. A little pricey if you're not there for happy hour but the portions are nice and the flavors are great. The happy hour specials can't be beat. Half price sushi means same portions and same fresh top quality at half the price. Would highly recommend. Drinks are strong without being overwhelming. read more

We went to dinner at Fishbones last night for a birthday dinner for a cousin. Needless to say things didn't go as planned. Our server Austin was amazing, we had no issues with him at all. Our problem was with food quality and the management staff. I ordered a ribeye steak medium to medium well. When it arrived and I cut into it, it was rare as if they just seared the outside and placed it on the plate. The management came over, took the steak, and brought it back to the kitchen to continue the cooking on the same piece of steak. It was brought back to the table. I cut into it and it was still medium rare. I accepted it because I was hungry and didn't want to wait another 15mins to eat while the rest of my party was eating already. Upon eating the steak my stomach started becoming upset. My cousins wife ordered salmon and it was not cooked to her liking as well. The manager came over and asked her if she could bring her something to make up for the dinner. She offered her anything on the menu, and suggested the grilled shrimp. When she received the bill they removed the salmon dinner but then charged her for the shrimp dinner! The manager made it seem as if she was giving it to my cousin for the inconvenience and then charged her for it... unacceptable. When my cousin questioned the charge the manager came over and asked her 3 times what she wanted her to do about it as if she was on trial. It was my first time at fishbones and my last. Food poisoning and bad management has prevented me from ever wanting to go back! read more

I would recommend you save your money and go elsewhere. We dined at the restaurant on Saturday evening to celebrate a birthday. We had a large party of 16 people. Understandably it takes awhile to get the table ready. The reservation was was for 7:30, so it only took a bit for us to be seated. Once we were seated, that's when we should have known it wasn't going to go well. Being a large party typically the server will either be focused on the one table or have a couple other servers help. We had Alex and Mike. We sit down, no menus and even had to ask for a set of plates/utensils for someone in our party. We are asked what we want to drink. I'm not sure since I have no menu. When we finally get menus, we have to share. What restaurant doesn't have enough menus for the table? It wasn't until about an 1 1/2 hours into dinner that I was able to place my order for a glass of moscato. I was brought a rancid, flat, drink that could not be drank. When I told the server he came back to tell me they were all out of the wine. How do you run out of wine, especially when it's the only one of that kind and it's Saturday? Our servers were gone, we rarely saw them and there was little follow up. Probably because of the forced gratuity so he felt he didn't have to work. Some of our party had watered down drinks that they had to server the drink separate from the ice. Build your own drink I suppose. We had to flag down Mike and one of our party asked about ordering and was cut of quickly and told "that comes with dinner." A little after 9 we were able to place our orders. I received a salad soaked in dressing that was inedible. They brought two baskets of bread for a party of 16? There should have been at least 3 or 4. Dinner finally came around 10 pm (keep in mind we had a 7:30ish seating). The horseradish tasted like 100% sour cream. One person ordered lamb chops to be greeted with what looked like lamb steaks. My prime rib was 1/3 fat. Overall it was way overpriced for the quality of the dining experience. I don't think you should waste your money or time. read more

Gave fishbones a try on a Monday night and decided to eat outside at the bar. It's the way to go of your a solo business traveler. Danny at the bar welcomed me and poured me a Stella. Cold and tasty in the proper glass. Not sure what to eat tonight and has sushi for lunch. He recomended the pork chop - said it was the best pork chop he ever had. What the heck, I'll take the P chop. Bring it on... It was spot on outstanding. You have a choice of small or Large portion (1 or 2 porks chops) I selected the small and it was plenty. I could not even finish it was so big. Don't order 2 unless you can bring some home. It's a BIG boy chop! read more

Not cheap but the food and service are outstanding! I really enjoyed the very refreshing East of Eden martini. For dinner I had the blackened corvina with the mushroom/lobster sauce my server recommended and a house salad. Plenty of great tasting food and the bread was super tasty as well. Happy Hour on the patio gets ridiculous by 530pm so come early and stake your claim on seating. Food and drink specials are decently priced although they were better two price increases ago. Wood grilled oysters and Spicy double tuna rolls are always tasty. Lately the $4 asst rolls on Sushi Sunday have been my favorite time to go, enjoy the weather on the patio and it's not crazy busy. read more

Service is outstanding, the food not so much. Fried gator appetizer was good. Tender and nicely flavored dipping sauce. House salad is simple salad greens saturated in a house dressing that tasted like Cesar dressing which is not my favorite. The house rolls are awful - soft roll with cheese melted on it leaving a cheesy gooey mess. Husband had jumbo fried shrimp which looked big only because they were butterflied. Whipped potatoes were brownish. I had shrimp and chicken. The restaurant is known for its grilled food but the char on the chicken breast was way too much; it was like you licked the bbq grill grates. The baked potato was served with cheese, sour cream and partially burned bacon. Waiter fixes the potato table side which was not impressive. I was less impressed when he used his hands to push down on the potato before topping it. The garnishes were very elementary - an overly grilled slice of canned pineapple with a cherry on top of the chicken. The plate was then garnished with a handful of chopped red cabbage and a lemon slice. Really missed the mark here! read more

Dined at FishBones with the family. The quality was not very good. We determined out of five dishes, two were just ok and the rest completely missed the mark. With everything said and done, it felt like a meal you'd probably be ok with if you spent half the price, but of course that isn't the case. read more

I've eaten here a few times and really like the food, service and decor. It is a nice upscale restaurant unlike the Fishbones on I-Drive (which I recommend to stay away from). Although I don't eat Sushi, the steak has been perfect every time. read more

Great atmosphere. Decent food. Disclaimer: came here as part of work function so it was a fixe prixe menu, of which I had the filet mignon. The filet was perfectly cooked, but overall vegetables and appetizers were good but not stellar..not as stellar as the atmosphere at least. Although I will recommend trying their home microbrew Amber..it'd light and well flavored. Overall though, great place for a romantic dinner or to bring a work client to impress. read more

Really great. Was staying at the Marriott adjacent and it was so convenient to walk across the parking lot and get a terrific meal. Nicely crafted cocktails--we had the Hawaiian cosmo--before excellently prepared dinner. Entrees come with a spinning salad prepared tableside, with a lovely green olive vinaigrette. We had the rainbow trout Oscar and the bouillabaisse, both of which were delicious and fresh. Joel was our server and he was wonderful--friendly and personable, but not hovering.
