We had a lovely Christmas Eve dinner here. Normally we spend our Christmas Eve with my family but this was one of those odd years. To make things interesting my husband said we should do something completely different so we came her and had delicious boils! I chose the create your own with headless shrimp and crab legs. Hubs chose sausage and crawfish. We both went with the Mr & Mrs Crab special seasoning. We also got an order of hush puppies. Both meals were enjoyable and tasty! Our server was very nice and brought us requested items and refills timely. The decor is definitely fish forward and you will know you are there to eat yummy seafood.

Is this an overall five-star place? Probably not. Maybe a bit too casual. Maybe a bit too, well, like you feel SpongeBob is around the corner somewhere and no, it is not that Mr. Krabs. Anyway... What gives it five-stars is for doing a great job of making a seafood boil. As mentioned, I believe on their website, the spice levels for the boils are pretty accurate to a little conservative. Meaning, if you like it hot, you are going to really enjoy this place! The table I was at shared THE BASICS - 1/2 lb. Shrimp (No Head), 1/2 lb. Sausage, 1/2 lb. Blue Mussels plus King Crab Legs. I also had New England Clam Chowder to start. For me, it could have been thicker. So I will pass on that next time. Otherwise, come here for the boil. If you are into it, or just looking to try one, you will not be disappointed.

Enjoyed the food and service, the place was spotless and the bill was really tolerable! Hadn't been in a while, will do another run sooner next time!

We are local and decided to give Mr. & Mrs. Crab in Sanford a try. The facility is clean and nice. The staff was very friendly and Taylor, our server, was very nice. We were surprised that all the tableware was disposable! Plastic cups, plates, utensils, etc. Of course that didn't impact the food but to us it was disappointing. We found our food to be quite average. The lobster bisque was ok but luke warm. My shrimp boil tasted ok but was nothing special. I will not choose this chain again.

It's amazing how time flies! I can hardly believe that it's been 8 months since my last visit to this restaurant. However, I must say that my recent experience was just as great as the last time I was here. Our server, O'Neil, was exceptional and he even remembered us from our last visit. The crispy, flavorful chicken wings and seafood were still top-notch and the sauces were as delicious as ever. I would rate this restaurant 5 stars for their quality of food and service. Moreover, I was impressed by the business ethics and morals of this restaurant. The manager noticed that my bill was incorrect and he immediately rectified the issue. He also gave me 2 $5 coupons to use on my next visit and $15 in cash. Such gestures make me feel valued as a customer and I am more than happy to return here next month and dine again.

I know there's a potato in there somewhere!

Recently I had dinner at Lighthouse Seafood Market & Cafe and it was my first time there, but…read moredefinitely not my last. Lighthouse is both a full seafood market and restaurant, giving you that fresh off the boat quality seafood cooked exactly how you like and served right to your table. I had the Blackened Grouper with broccoli and parsley red potatoes. The fish was seasoned and cooked perfectly, super juicy and incredibly fresh. The sides were just as good paired with the fish perfectly. I also had a tasty little side Caesar salad. The house Caesar dressing was great, lightly dressed so it didn't drown the romaine like some places do, and finished with grated parmesan and crunchy croutons. Overall, this was a great meal. The service was great, the food was excellent, and I would highly recommend checking them out.

My sister started with the clam chowder, which she thought was a little spicy but good. I had a small Caesars salad. For the entree my sister ordered one snow crab cluster which I know for a fact their market price was high, also they don't offer them in any kind of seasoning. Putting Old Bay on them just makes the shell spicy. I ordered the 15 reds, which are peel and eat shrimp. They were great, cooked perfectly. We ordered the hush puppies 3 count, now this was a problem because first they should never be that big and on the oily side to me. Problems I noticed, some of the wait staff is not that friendly also most of the staff serving food without gloves. A young man brought a bowl of food to a customer with his thumb on the rim, gross. This is my major complaint and take away that confirms I won't be back. There are two prices listed on the menu, one if you pay in cash and a higher price if you use a card. That is unacceptable, because some places will state that there will be a percentage up charge , not for every item. The place was somewhat busy when we arrived, but it was a constant flow of traffic, because they also have a seafood market inside to buy your own. I wasn't noisy at all when we went, not sure what it's like later in the evening. My personal takeaway is it's a nice enjoyable place for the locals, but if you're looking flavorful seafood, look further.

Katie, one of our servers greeted us immediately and got us started with drinks and appetizers. We ordered the special spicy mango margarita and a classic lime margarita. The margaritas arrived quickly and the spicy mango was delicious! Mango with shaved ice and some pickled jalapeños and carrots. Tahini on the rim added to the wonderful flavor. Cant beat a classic lime margarita on the rocks, cool and refreshing on a warm day. We split a crab cake appetizer with house made remolade. Just one crab cake but big enough to split. Cooked perfectly and crab very fresh. Sauce was great as well. Server Justin took our meal order. We opted to split the fresh 2 lb. Snapper special. Choice of blackened, fried or baked. We choose baked and he advised baked takes a little longer but we were in no rush. The snapper arrived with mixed vegetables as our side. Snapper was perfectly done, falling off the bone, tender and flavorful. The fish was so fresh, delicious and didn't require any additional sauce or seasoning. Mixed tender crisp veggies; squash, zucchini and broccoli were a wonderful complement to the amazing snapper! Afterwards, Sarah stopped by to check on us and brought a lovely slice of Key Lime Pie for our dessert. It was perfectly tart and a fabulous finish for a delectable late lunch! Amazing food, great service and friendly staff make St John's River Steak and Seafood a "must stop" in Sanford, Florida. Highly Recommend! Kate the Artist

The food coming out looked well presented. I got a St John burger and we also got fried fish entree. Both were very good. The only downside is it was wicked loud in the room we were at which overlooked the ocean (thankfully). By 2:00 it was getting packed and even louder. They need those noise canceling panels on the ceiling and maybe some music. We would definitely go back and try some other entrees. Maybe we should sit outside next time to eliminate the inside noise.

I've visited a few times now, and it consistently delivers on both the atmosphere and the plate. The Atmosphere The layout here is fantastic. Unlike many restaurants that feel like one giant, noisy hall, FishBones is divided into multiple separate rooms. This makes the dining experience feel much more intimate, whether you're tucked into one of their comfortable booths or seated at a table. If you prefer the Florida breeze, their outside patio is beautiful and well-maintained--definitely the place to be for a sunset dinner. The Food The menu is solid, but there are a few absolute standouts you shouldn't miss: Appetizers: The Bang Bang Shrimp has just the right amount of kick, and the Grouper Bites are fresh, crispy, and perfect for sharing. The Perks: I love that dinner still includes the "classics"--you get a fresh salad and those addictive yeast rolls topped with melted cheese. Honestly, I could eat a basket of those rolls alone. Main Course: The Cedar Plank Salmon is the star of the show. It's smoky, flaky, and cooked to perfection. The Grand Finale Make sure you save room for dessert. The Strawberry Shortcake is massive and absolutely delicious--it's the perfect sweet note to end the meal.

It was a Friday night and the restaurant was busy. It felt like others were also coming in for one last visit, which added a bittersweet feeling to the evening. They have always been one of the highlights. For food, we ordered beef empanadas, coconut shrimp, and the honey butter crispy chicken sandwich. The empanadas were not quite as good as I remembered. The filling was more soupy than before and did not have the same bold flavor I used to enjoy. The coconut shrimp was solid and consistent. The chicken sandwich tasted like it may have been cooked slightly too long, making it a bit drier than expected. Service was great, especially considering how busy they were.
