I'll start off by saying our server was amazing, he was very friendly, polite and checked on us just enough and made sure we were enjoying everything. We ordered the big eats and added another half pound of snow crab legs and a half pound of headless shrimp. We split it in between two adults and one child and it was plenty. I found that the seasoning was a little overly salty and I normally am a salt lover. I even had to remove some of the seasoning off of some of the seafood. But overall it was delicious. Hello, I am a FL native who currently lives up north & I have eaten many seafood boils in my day. This place is legit! The food from the apps to drinks were fabulous. We ordered damn near everything and could not even finish our plates. The oysters were fantastic and so were the fried pickles. We ordered mussels, shrimp, crawfish, snow and King crab. Everything was cooked to perfection. We got that snap and smooth clean pull. IYKYK. The sauce was tangy and a lil spicy (white people spicy). Soooo good! It was close to 8:30pm and I found out they have a 2 drink happy hr specials that runs until 5pm and then again from 8:30pm to close which was perfect so I ordered a $3 wine. We were not too hungry so we went for the 1/2 lb shrimp boil which includes potatoes and we added a side corn. Depending on the size of your boil is how many sides are added in. Went to Mr. and Mrs. Crab on a Saturday night and it was decently packed but our table of 4 was still able to be seated pretty quickly. Service is friendly and I think the decor is pretty spot-on - love that the little mascot couple is featured everywhere. I got their Special B set which was head on-shrimp, crawfish, and mussels, in their special sauce at mild spice level. It comes with 2 potatoes and 2 corn, but I also added 2 eggs and a portion of steamed rice. This was a lot of food! I couldn't finish it but you definitely get your money's worth when ordering any of their combos. The shrimp was big and juicy, crawfish is on the smaller side, and mussels are also pretty meaty. The sauce is good, but more one-note and just tastes of salt and garlic. Not bad, but not the best seafood boil sauce I've had. It gets the job done, but isn't mind-blowing. Their rice was dry, but the fries are good! Good place to go for seafood boil at a reasonable price. I ordered the king crab broil, and I will tell you that it was the worst absolutely worst meal that I have ever experienced in my life first off I'm 88 years old so obviously it's difficult to crack the crab legs to get the so I asked the waiter to please have the legd split in the kitchen and was politely advised that that couldn't be done when the meal was served. It was served with crackers and scissors and toothpicks. I have never ever heard of crab served in that way we even called the manager over and he offered absolutely no help whatsoever. This was one of the most expensive meals that I've ever had and sadly I really did not enjoy it. I cannot recommend this restaurant nor will I even go back even if some form of credit or gift card would be offered sadly I'm 80 years old and was looking forward to this meal and one day. It's amazing how time flies! I can hardly believe that it's been 8 months since my last visit to this restaurant. However, I must say that my recent experience was just as great as the last time I was here. Our server, O'Neil, was exceptional and he even remembered us from our last visit. The crispy, flavorful chicken wings and seafood were still top-notch and the sauces were as delicious as ever. I would rate this restaurant 5 stars for their quality of food and service. My pet peeves is how the prices are a bit high for what you get and the fact that corn is 2 dollars extra and potatoes are two dollars extra and my plate allotted me three potatoes and 2 corns. I couldn't eat them and asked if I can swap everyone for one boiled egg with in was 1.50 and was met with a big no.... So I lost 4 bucks on potatoes and corn and couldn't swap out for a cheaper item. There was no corn in the bag then we paid for extra potatoes and they gave us two small tiny potatoes when it says it's supposed to be three potatoes. Great 1st visit (Father's Day) and Dad was a VERY full baby when he finally walked away from that seafood boil. Although they don't take reservations, we were immediately seated at a comfy booth and, Tayler, our server took good care of us. Two seafood boils and an order or coconut shrimp with fries. Also maybe the best lemonade we've had in a while. My boil was all shrimp, potatoes, and corn (forgot to add sausage - aargh!) in a plain butter sauce and it was delicious. Next time I might go with different seasoning, like the Lemon Pepper. My Dad's scallops and crab were equally yummy, per his report. I'd definitely order the coconut shrimp again - possibly the best I've ever had. The fries here were EXCELLENT - perfect size and served nice and hot (limp, oily, lukewarm fries are the absolute worst). Friendliest folks here too - the perfect dining experience for any seafood lover, including for big family meals. As a seafood lover in general specially seafood boil I was super excited to try this place while I was on the area. I'm so happy I did! The service was absolutely great, Becca took great care of us. The restaurant was big with indoor and a small outdoor and that very colorful and summer decorations. Love the ambiance in general. We decided to order the Big eats combo (feeds 2-3) and added some eggs with the special sauce mild. The boil was big and super flavorful (a little salty) we really enjoyed it and took the leftovers to the hotel. The kids tenders and fries were also good. I don't think I can't say anything negative, my personal experience was fantastic. I don't get it! These places seem to be popular, but I was surprised at the cost for these bags of food. There are different options that you can build your own bag. It's like build-a-bear, but instead of a bear, you're deciding what seafood options you want in your plastic sack. There were crab legs (I think different kinds), shrimp, lobster and they came with corn and potatoes. Then you pick your seasoning and you can adjust the heat. We picked ours and we both liked it. It basically seems like a low country boil but it's in a bag instead of a in a pot they dump on the table. Now that I've had both, I'd rather have the dump on the table version. The bag came out and we didn't know what to do. Do we cut it? Untie the knot? Pop it like a balloon? We ended up untying it and then it became a chore to not have the inside of the bag touch your wrist and arms. You're going to make a mess, and there's pretty much no getting around it unless you have someone to pick the food out and feed you. The shocking part was how little food you get. When you add 1/2 lb of this and 1/2 lb of that and a few lobster tails, you get something that looks like a bag with enough food for one. We ended up ordering another messy sack. In hindsight, I should have pushed harder for stopping somewhere else on the way home. With everything in a big steamy sack, some were cooked well and some were overcooked. The best deal on the menu was the chicken wings which were like 6 for $7 or something like that. Considering there's a wing shortage, that was an excellent price. The oyster appetizer was good as well. Neither were messy in comparison to the sack. In summation: the food was good, but it wasn't great and not worth the money or hassle in my opinion. read more

I've come here twice with my coworkers now, I believe this is the only seafood boil place in Sanford. The atmosphere is nice and the music is good. First we had the Mozzarella Sticks, which were pretty good. They're not as crispy as most places but they were still tasty. They weren't greasy which I really liked. They had a lot of cheese and we were getting good cheese pulls. We got a Margarita and Strawberry Mojito. Both of them were pretty strong and tasted good. They have a happy hour from 12-5pm for drinks. We also got some Cajun Fries and I got some Mac & Cheese on the side. The fries here are really good, I've only ever had the Cajun ones. I do feel like they're missing a dipping sauce because the ketchup doesn't really pair well. The Mac and Cheese is okay, I wouldn't order it again. It's very soft macaroni and is a bit bland. For lunch I had the 1/2 pound of shrimp. I think it's a good deal for what you get. It wasn't bad but I've had way better at other seafood boil locations. I feel like the flavor just isn't there. Lastly we had dessert, Keylime Pie and Cheesecake. We didn't really enjoy these, I wouldn't recommend ordering them. New crab place that is a local franchise to Florida. This just popped up in a vacant building and wow, were there a lot of people happy to be here! My understanding is Mr. & Mrs. Crab has 13 locations across Florida, and they are expanding in the Southeast. Stopped in for a seafood meal and ended up getting one of their combination seafood boils. Would suggest going with a mild sauce, even their mild had a little bit of spicy kick to it. The staff inside were all wearing masks and some patrons walked in without mask (despite a sign indicating that masks are required) and the front staff turned away people who were not wearing masks. I was happy that they were paying attention to their policy. There was a surprisingly large amount of people dining and an equally large amount of staff that were hosting, serving, and carrying orders out of the kitchen.
