    Caesar salad with blackened chicken

My large group came here on a Wednesday afternoon right at 1:00 in the afternoon. We had nine people and were seated immediately. The waitress was very friendly. Her first question was if we had separate checks. We needed three separate and she broke it down easily for us. She grouped us into Teams A, B, and C and took orders accordingly. She was all smiles and went out of her way to be nice to our kids. We didn't have to ask for refills and we never felt pushed out the door. The food was all very good too. The kitchen forgot croutons on my salad, but the waitress made it right just because she noticed and not by my asking. I was very impressed and would highly recommend!

Stopping for lunch at Wishbones is a tradition for our family and friends every time we visit Duck. The wait staff is always inviting and today our party of 7 was seated with no wait. We enjoyed the clam chowder, raw oysters and Chesapeake wings (not spicy but a tasty dry rub); but the shrimp tacos stole the show. Full of flavor but light. Service was super quick. Thanks Fishbones!

    Burger and Great fries

First visit end of April, quieter yet delightful waitress. Talked me into the blackened tuna sandwich: divine and fanatic fries. Husband selected the shrimp chorizo bowl...so good! We came back last night as had a taste for burgers and fries. Fantastic and I rarely order burgers out. Great service. Nice if sunny day to eat on patio outside.

Fishbones is a necessary stop when shopping and lounging in Duck!! We are down in Nags Head, but cruised up to Duck for lunch and shopping. Our waitress was super nice and attentive! Fresh catch was Mahi and Tuna, so we got a Tuna Burrito and Tuna Steak, both delicious! Started with a half dozen yummy raw oysters! The decor is fun beach vibes, nice long bar with plenty of TVs for the sports fans! Definitely check this place out for casual, delicious food!

    Tuna Nachos

If you come here NEVER order the tuna nachos. Tuna tasted old and chewy, wontons were soggy, etc. Terrible portions & the guacamole came from a TUBE. Service was slow and took forever as well

Our service was food for a large party but unless you would like to be on the toilet for the next 24 hours, I'd avoid.

Sad to say, this was one of the worst cheese steaks subs I have ever had. It had zero flavor, no…read morelettuce or tomato, red onion was cooked with the meat (as opposed to yellow or white), and the meat itself added zero flavor to the sub. The best part of the sub was the roll, and it was just a standard sub roll. Luckily, the French fries were pretty good so I was able to eat part of my meal. Take it from someone who has worked in the food industry himself, you cannot just slap some meat, cheese, and onions on a roll and call it a cheese stake sub. The combination of ingredients only works if all them play their individual parts. The meat needs to have some char on it to bring out its flavor. The onions have to be caramelized so as to pop with sweetness whenever one is bitten into. The cheese needs accent the meat and onion, not mask it. There are supposed to be multiple layers in a submarine sandwich, not just one bland flavor. I would not recommend this place at all. You are better off going to Subway, at least it will not cost you almost twenty dollars for a flavorless sub.

They are right next door to the Growlers to Go beer shop. There are a few dine in tables and it appears plenty of people do take out. Service by the owner was excellent. The food is cooked to order and served piping hot. I appreciate the hot fries that were cooked perfectly. My chicken sandwich was a very large portion. It would have been a tad better with a bigger bun and more sauce options. Overall, I recommend this place for a quick meal.

After reading the…read morereviews and looking over the craft bagel menu, I knew we had to make a brunch stop to see how the locals live! Barrier Island Bagels offers a variety of bagel sandwich options, build your own bagels with different spreads, and there are cocktails available, too! Fancy! On our visit we were seated pretty fast even though the place was full. Our server was friendly and attentive. My husband and I really enjoyed the two toasted bagel sandwiches we ordered and shared. One was sweet and the other savory. There were several customers picking up orders and the counter stayed busy with walk-ins, too. This is definitely a popular, fun, and cozy option for locals and tourists alike.

This year we had: The Jersey: Lox (can come with a surcharge) on a rosemary bagel with dill and onion cream cheese. Hangover: bacon, egg, and cheese on an egg bagel with cheddar. The space isn't large but has several 4/5 seater tables. Pro Tip: There is parking around back.

Our service was great. But the food, sub par. Soft drinks were "odd" for lack of better word. So I returned it for a beer cause, why not. Sweet tea was so sweet that we had to dilute it with water. We can handle that. The food would have been great, had they used ANY SEASONING at all. Everything tasted as tho the kitchen lost all S&P privileges. I had the prime rib w/ au jus. Meat was tender and onions cooked nicely. But it definitely didn't match the description which was something like "on a hoagie bun topped with garlic and butter." It was not. Which would have really helped carry the no seasoning deal. Au jus, had great potential, just no flavor. I ended up eating the meat alone and left the bread. Wife got the Reuben. Which was overall ok. Much more flavor than mine. But only bc of the sauerkraut. Oldest daughter got the BYO burger, with cheese and pickle. The burger was clearly a frozen patty from the store. As clearly defined by the shape of the patty. She ate half and the other half sits in the fridge as I type, from 2 nights ago. (I usually eat all the leftovers) I leave this review in hopes that the management and kitchen staff will start to properly season their food. Arts has great potential. But not without seasoning!
