I had gone to the AutoZone in Revere first -- the young woman at the register was very sweet and even came out to test my battery and alternator. She tried her best and told me they could charge my battery if I waited, but then came back to say her manager wouldn't allow it unless I took the battery out myself and brought it in. I was shocked and honestly disappointed. She suggested I try another location, so I called the Saugus AutoZone -- and that's when everything turned around. Roy picked up, and after I explained my situation, he told me to come right in and he'd take a look. Roy went ABOVE and beyond. He was patient, kind, and incredibly helpful. He took the time to remove my battery himself, made sure he had the correct tools, and walked me through everything with zero frustration or attitude. The employee told me the only person who can replace a battery would be there at 9:15 AM, so I waited in my car. After waiting around and not wanting to risk shutting my car off, I even drove to a mechanic to confirm whether it was my battery or alternator. The mechanic confirmed it was just the battery. I came back to O'Reilly at around 9:30 AM expecting the employee who could install the battery to be there, only to be told he was running late. Meanwhile there were about five employees in the store and apparently none of them could replace a battery. What's the point of advertising battery installation if no one there can actually do it? This situation wasted a lot of my time and caused unnecessary stress when I was already dealing with a dead battery.
