Have been here before but brought a coworker that hadn't been here yet. Got there at lunchtime so busy but they still seated us quickly. Service was pretty fast. Inside is nice - tight for walking but it works - everyone is super friendly. We both orders club sandwiches and we were not disappointed. I had the potato salad and it was creamy and delicious. Coworker had the coleslaw and she said it was really good. New addition for me was the pickled tomato- that was a show stopper. It was salty but not overly- I could see putting it in a pasta salad. Fishers is busy and can get busy so if they can be a line out front when we got there, there was no line and we were seated right away at a comfortable .This is your basic breakfast deli that supplies everything you need. My eggs were over easy. The bacon was crispy. The toast was toasted and buttered. My daughter's French toast looked delicious. She wouldn't share and her eggs were the same as mine beautiful. I love getting my fresh challah bread and bagels from here. I don't know the Ingredients list, but I'm confident it's lot long and exhaustive like store bought bread. I purchase a dozen bagels probably about 2 times a month. The same with the large challah. I've been using Uber Eats for my recent orders just to save the drive and focus on other things. Today I got my bagels, large chicken noodle soup, and some latkes. I was a little disappointed with the latke order because there wasn't any apple sauce and sour cream like Uber shows. The potatoes were well seasoned. I would have loved to know how the condiments awaited the flavor. Be aware of this in case you place an order. My delivery driver had a bag that kept my food heated which was nice. He had several stops along the way and my order was well over an hour to receive. This had nothing to do with Weiss. Everything was perfect about it the noodle soup. I feel healed already and I don't think I don't think anything was ever wrong with me. Last week I ordered a large chicken salad and a large plain cream cheese. The chicken salad between the challah with lettuce, purple onion, and fresh tomatoes was seriously the best thing I've had in a sandwich. Personally I feel better eating things like bagels and cream cheese when it comes from a fresh bakery because I'm assuming. They are using fresh ingredients and I'm not getting a whole bunch of additional crap that just isn't necessary. read more

We'd been eyeing Weiss' for a super long time and we finally made it in. We were excited and relieved we were able to make it in time before they closed. There are two doors for Weiss, one for picking up to go, and the other to sit down and enjoy your meal. Because it was closing time, we waited a couple of minutes to be seated, and there is a wall that does not allow you to be seen immediately by the hostess, so it wasn't too bad for us to wait- we were just grateful they allowed us to dine in. We were seated and the server asked for our drinks, which we opted for Coke Zero. Right off the bat our server came and wanted to know if we were ready, so it could be that Weiss has customers who come back and know what they want right away; or it could be that she was ready to get her end of day started which I understand. We opted for some French fries, The Dip sandwich with a side of potato salad, and a Reuben with a side of potato knish. The food was fresh, the knish was different and amazing. We were enamored by the flavor and the subtlety of how that tiny little cake was so good! The Reuben was tasty, fresh and homey. My dip was fresh- the jus was flavorful, it amped up my sandwich. Their breads of course, made in house- for my dip it was fluffy and crispy. My husband's Reuben was crisp, toasted and light all at once. The potato salad was great, however for me, it was a bit too mushy. The flavor was very simple but light and great. The potato knish, I loved! I know next time to try it with their mustard, not that it needed it, but it'll be interesting! Also, I'm not sure if the Dip has an option of cheese, which had I known I would have asked for some on my sandwich. The food is stacked so high that we took our halves for dinner. The fries were hot and fresh, but nothing crazy special. We decided we'll be back to Weiss' to try their matzoh ball soup, and other item menus that might be a bit different than what we're used to. Now, to some the prices might seem a bit high for their items, but since they make most of their breads in house, their plates are served in huge portions, and the diner's home made food quality is their style, to me it is absolutely worth the price you pay. We might also have to check them out for breakfast one day! If you're looking for good, family style diner with huge portions and enough for leftovers, Weiss should be on your visit list! If you're looking for something different, come give Weiss a try! You won't regret it. read more

My wife loves the pancakes and orders them every time. I'm all over the menu because there is so much to choose from. Had the ham (piled high) on rye with potato salad today. I already reviewed my most recent visit, I just wanted to add some love for the bagel carryout side of the deli. We grabbed 6 fresh egg and sesame bagels. Then I spotted day old bagels packed up, and added 2 dozen plain bagels. When I got home to New Mexico, I sliced the day old bagels and they were just as perfect as the fresh. They are so delicious and I will always stop at Fisher's deli before returning home to get true NY style bagels to keep from being forced to eat "rolls" that people here call bagels. Plenty of good options on the menu as well as some daily specials. We opted for the corned beef and cabbage to stick with the tradition. The portions were huge! The corned beef was piled high on top of half a head of cabbage and came with some red potatoes. The corned beef was seasoned and very tasty, tender, and juicy! The cabbage was flavorful and cooked just right not mushy. The bread was oh so fresh! The service was excellent and our server kept our ice tea and coffee full! One of the best diner/deli spots I ever been to! My friend and I randomly ate here after a long run. The food was honestly phenomenal! We ordered the open Rubin and it was STACKED with corned beef and cheese. Very light but filling at the same time. Corned beef gave great saltiness taste to the cheese and bread. The Ceilys stack was extremely filling. The beef and potatoes were greatly complimented with the gravy, giving a heavily (but balanced) salty taste. The two big dishes came out to a reasonable price and we were able to save these for our next meal or two. The staff were really nice, genuine, and welcoming. Fishers is a local icon for a reason, their garlic bagel is something I will dream about. There's a huge variety of options here from the bagels to sandwiches and soups. Everyone was warm and friendly, and quick to point out their favorites when we told them it was our first time. We settled on a Reuben for hubs and a combo corned beef/pastrami on challah for me. Everything was absolutely delicious! The portions are huge, so we both have enough for lunch tomorrow. We also got to meet the owners, who were kind enough to chat for a few minutes. When told it was my husband's birthday, they surprised him with a huge black and white cookie, which is his favorite. We could not have felt more welcome. Food is amazing, and service is top notch. After a few months we decided to give Fishers another try. The matzah ball with noodle chicken soup was huge but I devoured the whole thing it was delicious. The pastrami sandwich was huge and cooked perfectly. The potato lakkas were the size of a pancake and my friends that ate it said could be a little more crispy but delicious. The bagel and lox and whitefish salad was to die for. Everything bagel toasted well did not disappoint. The staff were very friendly and attentive. Prices were in line with any good deli, no complaints here. Fisher could use an update maybe new booth seats but it wouldn't stop me from returning or recommending. Was recommended this hidden gem in Henderson by a friend. Two part restaurant, fresh baked goods counter and the restaurant itself. Was greeted warmly and sat quickly. The server provided two menus (breakfast and lunch) and it genuinely took me 10 minutes to decide on what to get there was so many options. I went with eggs Benedict which was great. Ham was thick and grilled well , and the poached eggs were all cooked perfectly. As I looked around, the portions of other dishes from sandwiches to burgers and beyond were huge and the place is great value. Will be back again soon to dive into their lunch offerings. read more
