    Steamed lobster

This place is right across the street from where I live. Guess it's time I review them I've patronized Fishermen's Catch a couple of times, mostly because it's convenient. They offer their lobster rolls on special at least once a year for a few days so that is what I wait for. Lobster rolls are pretty good but could use a tad more flavor. They used to be $35 but now it's $38. Would I pay that for a lobster roll with chips? I think not. I brought my mom here on a separate occasion and she did enjoy her steamed lobster. That time I got their haddock sandwich which came with a side of fries. The fries were crispy and tasty. Service is usually pretty quick even when there is a little bit of a line. They only have outside dining which could get hectic because it is off of 302. Overall, they do a solid job but they are on the expensive side.

Great little side of the road stop for a tourist like me who wanted to get a lobster roll while visiting Maine. I picked it mainly because it was on our driving route but was pleasantly surprised by the super nice staff and the good food. They have the main patio, where we were able to sit because we had stopped for a late lunch around 2:30 PM. They also had a tent across the parking lot with several picnic tables to accommodate during busy times. I can't speak to the authenticity of the lobster roll since I'm an out-of-towner, but I was very pleased with my buttered lobster roll and clam strips. My mom absolutely loved the fried pickles she got with her own classic lobster roll.

Best lobster rolls in southern maine by far! I wish they were open year round, because it is such a fun treat going to Fishermens Catch to get a lobster roll

    But it's enormous

After I saw the lobster rolls on Yelp, I had to come here. They have both a seafood shop and full restaurant menu with all the classic Maine seafood. We tried the classic lobster roll, the lemon, the fried scallops, fried whole belly clams, and clam strips. Everything was amazing - but what really stood out to me were the fried scallops! They were the best I've ever had. A super light, crisp, crum fry that was really firmly stuck to the scallop (which is hard because scallops are very wet). So impressive. And obviously we have to mention the lobster rolls. I really like how they have classic variations of the roll on the menu. It was the biggest lobster roll I've ever gotten, and for $22 it was a steal. Also, weirdly I'm mentioning the fries but they were an awesome thin battered wedge. If you're visiting Maine or live in Windham, it's definitely an excellent representation of Maine seafood and I recommend checking it out!

Lobster roll, onion rings, shrimp and clam strips. And this was after we'd eaten quite a bit.

Ok yes it was expensive, about $140 for 2 of us and only outside seating wight near the road, HOWEVER, we ordered a ton of food, certainly did not eat it all at once, and LOVED all of it. The lobster rolls were well stuffed and delicious but the highlight of the mean was the clam strips. They do have full belly fried clams available but that is not to my preference. The ones we had were fresh, tender and simply yummy! Would I pay that much again? I'm not sure, but it was really good.

It's been a while since I was able to return, and the lobster roll is still great, but it didn't seem to have enough seasoning or something this time. I'm not sure if anything has actually changed, but I didn't find myself enjoying it quite as much as I did the last few times I was here. In addition, the seafood chowder was not available (it was a little before 12) which was disappointing because we did not have time to stop by again this trip. We got our food almost instantly, but when our friends joined us, they had to wait quite a while and we ended up being late for our jet ski rental. I don't really fault the staff for this, because some people did place their orders between ours, but it was also quite hot inside--the AC was running but minimally.

The scallops were good. Service was good. Shrimp however was not as good as Bobs Seafood. I found it to pricey for the quality of the food.

Expensive lobster roll, but that's because it was HUGE compared to most places. Their Fries are THE BEST I'VE EVER HAD! MUST GO!

We have been going here since it opened a few years ago . It just slips my mind every time to leave…read morea review. The food is always great and the fish is extremely fresh . I've had several items on the menu . This time I had the haddock sandwich with coleslaw and a cup of clam chowder. The chowder is thick , creamy and delicious. The haddock was lightly battered and delicious as well. My fiancé had the lobster stew and crab sandwich on gluten free bun . The lobster stew is also gluten free. He said the crab sandwich was outstanding! They also have vet delicious French fries ! The restaurant has a farm house feel to it . Very comfortable atmosphere and friendly bar/waitstaff .

07-14-26 Review My girlfriend wanted to go to Bob's today…read more I did not. I agreed. She wanted fried clams. I did not order anything. She ordered the clam basket with fries and coleslaw for the paltry sum of $38.00. Seriously? What are the clams made of? Gold? Diamonds? She also had dessert. Cheesecake for $9.00. In my opinion, these prices are "highway robbery". I've lived in Windham for years, and because Bob's is the only seafood restaurant in town, they get away with charging "tourist prices". 10-05-24 Review Remember the seminal television series "Cheers," where everyone knows your name, and they're always glad you came? That's a complete 180 in contrast to Bob's. They couldn't care less about who you are and why you're there. My server tonight was Haley. Her focus was on taking selfies of herself and being coy with the boys. As her customer, she shows zero interest. It was like she couldn't wait for her shift to end. That said, Bob's fare is mediocre and overpriced. I won't be back. Two thumbs down.
