Being new to the area, I was looking for a specific kind of gym--smaller, non-chain, that offered martial arts but also a good variety of strength conditioning and cardio classes. With LB Fitness I found exactly that, and more! Cardio kickboxing, combat conditioning, and Muay Thai with Edson have definitely been transforming my body--I am stronger, leaner, have more endurance, and am overall more fit than ever before. But taking these classes and seeing the results has also had a tremendous impact on how I feel: more confident, grittier, and full of energy! I'm now addicted to learning more combinations, practicing my kicks and punches, and am motivated to continue getting faster and adding more power. Also, as Edson is big on technique, his combat classes are great to learn how to properly work with weights, lift, and develop more strength without getting hurt. Boot camp and Zumba Strong with Bailey are also a must! Mixing cardio with strength conditioning (to a great soundtrack!), these classes are all about tightening, leaning, and burning calories. Also, Bailey is an incredibly encouraging, supportive, and motivating instructor, so while she will push you to your limits, you likely won't even notice until the next day when you are beyond sore =) Finally, LB Fitness tends to attract people who are willing to work hard to get results, but who are also down-to-earth, friendly, and supportive of each others' journeys, which has been truly refreshing. I wasn't very fit so I was intimidated by all the athletic and buff people shown on their website and IG. There was nothing to worry about because I felt so welcomed and taken care of. Javi and Courtney and all the other coaches I've had the chance to train with all are there to push you to do your best without overdoing it. I appreciated how they eased me in. Two years later, I'm still hooked and have seen a lot of progress in my strength and overall fitness! They also have community events every couple months that are very fun to join. David does a great job listening to his clients in what outcome they are looking for then works together with you to achieve that. I appreciate how knowledgeable David is about the human body and how he adjusts workouts based on my needs and abilities. He also creates and designs a work out program specifically to me. I can discuss diet and stretches that help me on my own time. When injured David takes the time to focus on the issue with stretches, mobility and muscle massages. Overall there's nothing bad I can say about Naples Fitness and I'm thankful I have a gym like this to go to.

I have had personal training before, both in a gym and independently. The NF studio rates top notch in my book. The clean and spacious environment affords great equipment and a welcoming atmosphere. Want to watch TV? Done. Want good music to pump iron too? Done. Need a locker for your valuables? Done. And how about the nicest bathroom I've ever seen in a fitness studio? Done, yet again. Dave is a great person and fantastic personal trainer. He is super friendly and wants to tune into you completely for the best workout. Dave is there to motivate you, ignore your excuses, get you pumped and make sure you do it all effectively and safely. While I don't know the other trainers individually, when I met them at the Seal Beach 5/10k, they were all super friendly and highly supportive of all the event participants running on behalf of Naples Fitness. A core reason I like NF is their involvement and support for community events while also supporting health and fitness. Whether it's in getting a group to do a community run, take donations for the Ronald McDonald house, or give away free beach boot camp classes in exchange for food, NF and their staff are never too busy to do great things on a local level. I love my city, and so does Naples Fitness. So, what you really want to know about is the workout, right? Each exercise and workout is tailored specifically to you, your ability, your initial fitness level and your goals. The workouts structured for me have been great, some familiar to me and some new, and completely doable both in and outside the fitness studio. The hardest, and while I hesitate to admit it, but also the best part of the time I worked with Dave was when he worked on my hamstrings and tight muscles. I've never had that done for me, and while it totally caused me to cringe, wince, cry and maybe curse a little, it was the best part of my workout and long over due. I just might sign up for that torture alone. Ultimately, it isn't my review that's going to get you to get off the couch and sign up. It's going to be your choice, and when you're ready, choose Naples Fitness.
