I really enjoy calling Fitness 19 Redlands my home gym. The staff is always friendly and inviting, the place is always clean, and I always leave happy. The group classes at the moment are amazing! Redlands has really worked on fine tuning the class schedule to meet the demands of their clients. The variety is great too, plenty of Zumba, Body sculpting, and yoga classes to drop into if you can't make your regular one. Sylvia's classes will motivate you while simultaneously leaving you dead at the end of class. She's got enough energy to inspire you to work harder, but is not in your face about having to take breaks or slow down. Noelle's yoga classes are very uplifting. She guides you through the Thursday practice with great instruction and technique, which helps on Tuesday's classes which move a bit faster. It's wonderful to hear more about yoga philosophy too! The other instructors are great as well, but I'm not typically available to take more of their classes. Overall, I love what they are doing here to keep the place up and running smoothly! read more

I have been coming here on and off since the place opened. The staff is always very welcoming and friendly. The gym is much cleaner and organized than even big gyms right down the street. The price is great. You can just get done what you need to and go on about your day. None of the fancy stuff big gyms have but it's also much better taken care of than those gyms too. What a great place to get motivated to be in shape. The facility is really clean and the staff is super friendly. They have a personal trainer over there, Jen (JJ) is super awesome. She really takes a personal approach to getting you in shape and giving you the tools need to really succeed. Sunday 6/26/22 @ 2pm...1 employee working , and you got 3 people in line to pay for their drinks/snack, got 2 people waiting on the couches and 2 people waiting for service sitting on an empty desk while the only worker is signing up a new member..smh!!.. Why would you ever just have one employee working on the weekends? Do you not care about customer service, or do you feel like catering to your employees and give everybody the weekend off, either way it's horrible customer service. Avoid this business, chose another gym. When they closed their store in Highland, without asking for anyone's permission, the company switch memberships to this location (nine miles further away). I had the identical contract as my wife, and I cancelled by a mere telephone call. However, they refused to provide the same service later for my wife. Then they added a late charges for failure to pay after I had already called to cancel the contract for her, and required her to submit a form asking for another payment card. They refused to recognize me, despite being her attorney, to speak for her to cancel the contract (contrary to basic agency law of California). Then they imposed their collection arm upon her. This company appears financially desperate. And I would never advise dealing with any company that refuses to operate pursuant to the laws where they entered into a contract. read more

I chose this gym because of the close proximity to my home. I also liked their straight forward approach to membership and training. I've not been disappointed. This review is long overdue but better late than never. My husband and I have been going here for a few years now and have come to really love this place. It's always clean, has everything we need, and staff is always very friendly. I've never felt pushed or intimidated to buy anything I didn't want or need. When my husband and I come in, everyone greets us as if we're just part of the family. The kids club is also always on point and clean. My daughter also tells me that the girls in the kids club are always nice to her and engage her in conversation. Anyway, if you're tired of feeling like nothing more than another sales commission at other gyms, try this place because they make you feel like your business is valued. I had not been going to the gym since before April '20 due to the lockdown. When I phoned the business during that time they had said there would be no billing until it was safe to go back. So I was surprised to see the monthly membership fee appear in my July '20 bank statement. In July, they sent an email to gym members, with the following: "Please note, that for many of you, your July 14th and 15th billing was already invoiced. Like the initial closures we will make sure no member pays for time they could not use during the temporary closures. You will receive a credit or prorated dues for time the gym was unavailable once Fitness 19 is able to determine the extent of the closure. If you have any questions, your local Fitness 19 Club Manager and Team Members will assist you. And don't worry, all personal training, membership dues, and annual fee billing moving forward will be FROZEN until your Fitness 19 location reopens. " I surely hope they do not attempt to prorate any of that risky time in July (and now) that the gym may have been temporarily opened. It's now October, about 3 months later, and I have yet to receive a refund for the July charge. When I called in July, they gave me the runaround saying they would get back to me, and when I asked how I can cancel membership or get a refund they listed a bunch of hoops I needed to jump. I'm writing this review now in October '20 from disappointment that there has been no follow up whatsoever since July '20 from this business. read more

Ok. I will start with the cons: actually I only I have one. What is keeping it from a 5 star rating. I usually workout for an hour between 5 and 7 am. But since February- the last couple months, the free weights area often gets crowded. Don't even think about going on a Saturday morning. Other than that I love this place. Always clean, friendly staff, got everything I need to get a workout. This place often has killer deals for new customers. Probably why so crowded lately. My experience from trying out to signing up was so easy and pleasant compared to other gyms. I came in for a 3 day pass, and they made no fuss about it! They were very courteous, gave me a tour, and did not push at all in getting me to purchase membership. The pass includes classes and use of their gym. Unfortunately, I'm not a class person so I can't comment on that. I ended up getting the simplest pass with gym access for about $10 with a $40 annual fee (I know it changes depending on what deals they have). I don't think you can beat that! I had such great customer service, and everything was so clean and functional that I bought a membership as soon as my pass ended. They don't have a pool (so no mess in the locker room), showers, sauna or steam room, but that's not what I need. It just means the bathrooms are so much cleaner! They also do not have a basketball court, which is fine by me. They have plenty of weights, squat racks, bench presses, treadmills and other cardio machines galore. They have a cycling room that you can use when a class isn't in session. They have a mirrored work-out room that you can also use when classes are not in session - usually that means around noon - 4pm and after 7pm. Cancelled my membership around 2 or 3 years ago and the last three months, they are illegally taking money out of my account and I'm getting the run around on stopping this or getting my money back! For three months, we've asked Fitness 19 to stop taking the money out, now last night they said I needed to call their new billing company ABC. So I did. ABC says I need to call fitness 19. SO I got them both on the phone together. This is ridiculous. Fitness 19 acknowledges this illegal activity, but can't do anything because their manager nor Assistant Manager are not present to authorize the cancellation and Refund of monies ILLEGALLY taken out of my account, without my authorization?? This is by far the best gym I have been to. From when you come in you are greeted with a smile and treated like a family. I have been coming here for a couple of years now and been training with Hector Uribe. Hector is an excellent trainer, he has helped me so much stay fit and motivated. Each training session is always hard work but very rewarding. As a trainer he sets a great example and make it look easy. He always executes the moves well that you would want to do it well. He pays attention to detail and form and he always adjusts the workouts to suit me. Setting up sessions with him is always a breeze as he is flexible in accommodating my schedule. I know there's a lot of members training with Hector and it's no wonder cause he's the BEST! Thank you Fitness Redlands for keeping us fit one person at a time. read more

This club is great - right on the edge of Redlands and Mentone so you wouldn't think the location is anything special - but it's invariably clean, with friendly but non-intrusive staff, and all the equipment is new and well-maintained. The classes are excellent - tend to be female-heavy (as do most group classes at gyms I've tried) but there's a decent amount of men too, especially in cycle. The instructors generally don't mind if people come for half a class and then leave, too, so it's totally possible to try a class out without guilt if you're not a fan or work a class into your existing workout. The cycle room doesn't look like much but, like the rest of the gym, does keep pretty cool and well-ventilated - which is great during Inland Empire summer temperatures of 100+ every single day. Reasonable prices for membership too - I'm only in the area for a few weeks here and there sporadically - and I don't feel like I'm getting robbed. read more

Days after my negative review I received a call from their assistant manager who was very nice and polite and apologized for their oversight and mentioned they would be adding rheostats to the fans to control the speed. As of last week (since I've been to the gym again), new rheostats were installed. This shows Fitness 19 Redlands cares about their patrons - kudos to you Fitness 19! I was also informed that although a new rheostat was installed, the result is either a fan operating at full speed or almost at a standstill; I will leave this matter to the management and technicians to resolve.
