This place is the worst. I've been attempting to cancel my membership, I've literally not been into this place except to try and cancel it in the past year I've been attempting to cancel my membership and I was told first the amount of my cancelation followed by the amount I'd be charged this month. Imagine my surprise when it was just my monthly fee. I reached out again and it was stated that I would be canceled next month and charged my remaining balance. When I asked why I wasn't canceled this month I was told that they couldn't help me becuse I needEd to reach out to my club branch to do this. I would give this place ZERO stars if it were possible. I have been trying to deal with "stony" at the Bedford location, but he was extremely unhelpful and refused to pass my info on to corporate. I received a post card and was very please to see this gym had a "cardio theater" as I just moved to Bedford from Dallas and the gym I left had a cardio theater. That is specifically why I enrolled at this gym. Upon arriving to the gym Saturday to get my key chain tag and tour the facility to find it does NOT have a cardio theater nor did Ahmad even know what a cardio theater was or that the post card mentioned it. I also asked him for a phone # of someone I could speak with about getting my enrollment fee refunded and he gave my the phone number to ABC Financial?? WHY WOULD THEY BE ABLE TO HELP ME WITH THE MIS INFO I RECEIVED FROM YOUR POST CARD? At this point, with the lack of customer service I have received I am not certain I would want to work out at this gym even if you built a cardio theater. (Per "stony" they probably advertised they had a cardio theater because there are tvs on the wall??????) The staff is very rude and ignorant to the trends in their industry. "Stony" told me I need to call corporate and refused to pass my info on to corp. to have someone contact me. When you call the phone # on the website it elects for you to be transferred to a specific location or their 3rd party billing company. He knows this; or at least should if he's trying to run this place. Not to mention the place is a dump and doesn't even have locker rooms. The post card also mentioned tanning, but Ahmad didn't bother to show us the tanning facility; if there even is one. According to the other posts I can tell it's going to be fun trying to get out of this scam of a membership! I have attached photos of examples of gyms with real cardio theaters. My first gym membership was with the now closed Results Fitness in Bedford. They were impossible to cancel memberships with as well. We signed up wanting to go, but between work and school there was almost no time to go, so we talked to them about cancelling the memberships. Well, they told us that there was a $350 early cancellation fee, but that we could cancel the last month of the contract term before auto-renewal without paying it....but they never told us when it was going to renew, so it went through again anyway! So due to our schedule, we have paid $16 a month for over 4 years to a gym we never went to, plus theior $36 renewal fees every time we were never notified of it renewing. Now my wife and I found out when we drove by where Results was that they are closed and all of the member ships freom Results were sold to Fitness 2000....WE WERE NEVER NOTIFIED!!! NOT ONCE! No email communication, no phone calls, no snail mail...nothing! Tried calling the parent company to get resolution for this...got ZERO response from them. The do not care about you as a customer, only your money. So this company has not managed to get $16 a month for 4 years from us, now they sell our private information to another company without our permission! They have essentially stolen close to $1000 from us as a result. Thankfully someone stole my credit card information forcing me to get a new card because now they can't bill me anymore because my card info isn't updated. And will NOT be updated. If I could give this place negative stars I would. Crooked business practices and unbelievable complications when you try to cancel. They actually charged me the cancellation fee when my son went to college in Boston and then continued to draft the payment. I've been in NC trying to handle my father's estate and came home for a week to handle some business here, only to get a run around when I tried to cancel both memberships. You have to call an 800 number, get an email from them, send a certified letter to some place in Arkansas and then HOPE they accept your cancellation...oh and pay a ridiculous amount to do so if they accept it. Gym is clean since it is brand new. I've been going there for 7 months but hubby and i are moving. It gets 1 star because of the difficulty to cancel your membership. We went in to cancel, the front desk get couldn't be bothered to get off the phone, instead handed a phone number to cancel. When you call, the automatic phone service tells you to log into a website to cancel because you can't do it on the phone. When you create an online account, log in, and try and cancel you basically get a shady address because you have to submit it in writing. It only gets canceled 30 days from post marked date so you basically pay for another month. Sending the letters off tomorrow so let's see if they actually "receive" them. We were lucky and did month to month, if you sign up for the year you have to give them a 250 dollar payout. Bunch of crooks, i will never sign up for another gym again. read more

Cancelling this is IMPOSSIBLE. I would give this gym zero stars if possible. There are no locations where I have moved and they want to charge my annual renewal fee even though I have requested to cancel. You have to call a third party billing system and mail in a request to terminate. They say you are to pay anything in that time frame that comes up. Seriously, do NOT waste your time and money. read more

Worst Gym i have ever had a membership to. $1 sign up fee is what attracted me, some "special" they had. Was charged $27. Not a ton of money so i was like whatever. READ THE FINE PRINT. I had an issue with my card so a payment did not come out. I then tried to call and cancel my membership since i didn't like the gym anyway. She said i would have to pay off the remaining balance and then it would be canceled. LIE. I have been paying on it for months, then $54 came out of my account. i figured "this is the last of it, i'm finally done" then the next month rolls around and i have another $10 charge. I call back to see what's going on and i am told i finished my year contract and now have a month to month contract. I cannot cancel my membership at the gym, over the phone, or online. I must send a certified letter to some financial company states away to cancel. In the meantime i am responsible for any charges. We will see if they ever "receive" this letter. DO NOT GET A MEMBERSHIP HERE. SHADY PEOPLE. SHADY BUSINESS. OVERALL TERRIBLE. THEY DESERVE NO STARS AND TO BE SHUT DOWN. This gym is one big giant scam. They have a low price to get in the door. Then they sneak in annual fees on your credit card. Even if you are in a NO CONTRACT month to month account. They make you jump through insane hoops to cancel the account - send a certified letter to Arkansas to cancel NO CONTRACT. What they tell you when you sign up is NOT true. My 5 star review is specifically for the fantastic customer service I received from Daulton here. After not realizing my account was tied to an inactive credit card, they sent it to collections but Daulton totally helped me out and worked to pull it out of collections and have me back in good standing with the gym. Although the gym may offer an inexpensive rate, be sure to READ the FINE PRINT in your contract. It is nearly impossible to cancel your membership. They will send you to a 3rd party, ABC Financial. Understand that unless you are moving 25 miles away (with proof), or buy out your remaining contract, you will be unable to cancel. The contract alone locks you in for almost 2 years. The automatic renewal is beyond horrendous. Plus in order to cancel, you have to submit everything in writing to their 3rd party payment processing center in Arkansas. Although $8.88 seemed like a really awesome deal, its definitely not! Fitness 2000 and ABC Financial make it extremely difficult to cancel services. To be honest, your better off going to Lifetime, 24 Hour or an actual larger gym with more to offer for the price you are stuck into paying through their contract. Very disappointed! Never utilized the gym and now to cancel a membership that we never use is ridiculous. read more

Do not get a membership here! They tell you it's 8.00 or so a month and free to cancel any time...this is not true. They will have your credit card number and then charge you an annual fee without telling you. They wait till it's late to charge your card and add a late fee. To cancel your membership you cannot do it by phone, you cannot do it in person and you cannot do it on line!! You must send a certified letter explaining how you would like to end membership and then give them 30 days for approval and processing. Ridiculous. The guys that work there are useless the bathrooms are discussing and I highly recommend choosing anywhere else than fitness 2000. Ripoff. read more

I have cancelled my membership at Fitness 2000 after almost 3 years as of this Friday. I thought I should provide my reasoning behind this to help potential customers make an informed decision about this location. About a month ago, I noticed a guy on one of the eliptical machines blowing snot rockets out of both nostrils onto the floor and other machines during his workout. He continued to do this throughout the hour I was there and didnt care that there were other customers around. He also stuck his finger in his nose and deposited the contents into his mouth numerous times. My first instinct was to confront this disgusting slimeball but decided to alert the manager on duty. The manager said he would totally blew me off and never even got out of his chair to confront the guy. I gave it a week, hoping that one of the other employees who were present when I made the initial complaint, would handle the situation. Unfortunately his behavior has not stopped. He continues to place everyones health in jeapardy with his bodily fluids. I hope this review will assist others in understanding the mentality of the owners and management at this business. Absolutely terrible! If there is any chance that you will ever try to terminate your membership with them I promise you it will not happen. I was at the gym for a month and had to pay approximately $75 then when I went to go cancel my membership I sent in a letter and did exactly as they said I needed too and yet my account is still getting charged $40 later. Talked to representatives from ABC Financial and they tried to charge me another $250 to cancel my membership! Absolutely ridiculous. Especially for a high school student that is an extreme about of money to have to pay yourself. 1000 times do NOT recommend! read more
