Went here for a business lunch with about 10 people and it wasn't bad but it wasn't the best. The waitress I have to say was very attentive and we didn't wait for anything very long. One guy had the Mole' chicken burrito and said it was extremly bland and isn't really sure if his dog would even have eaten it. Another had the chicken club and she was very happy with it. She said it was good but not delcious. One had the Philly cheesesteak sandwich and she was not impressed....she said the cheese was a nacho cheese which was not very good and it soaked the bun so it made it nasty to eat. read more

This place is usually quite good. It's been a while since we'd been and I never left a review. For a place with everything from burritos to burgers to pizza, they seem to be able to do them all well. My wife and I ordered the dill pickle chips appetizer. I think it must be their own house made ranch dressing on the side, as it didn't have the thick consistency of store-bought. These are probably the best pickle chips we've ever had. Very light on batter, but very crispy. For a main course, I went with their Chicken Molé Burrito. It was supposed to have colby jack cheese, but I couldn't see any. Thankfully, it was still very good. I couldn't bring myself to complain at all - and risk letting my food get cold or waiting at all. It was my first time having molé sauce, so that might be part of it. My wife had the bbq pulled pork sandwich. I had to try it, because they use their own root beer syrup to make the BBQ sauce. I loved the sauce. Apparently they do sell it, but only in a styrofoam cup. I would have bought it if it came in a glass Fitz' bottle, though it would have been too thick to pour. All in all, we were stuffed and have plenty leftover for lunch. read more

We went to Fitz's with a big party and sat upstairs. The good was good, nothing extra special about it, but the highlight is the root beer served in their ice cold mugs. I also had an orange soda float, which was too much for me to finish on my own. The service was ok, but then again we had a large party. Pretty cool hang out spot to be loud and eat with friends or family. If in town again, I'll pay them a visit. I'm feeling generous today, hence the 4 out of 5 stars. read more

Hands down, the BEST burgers (and root beer!) I've ever had in my entire life. This place is one of the reasons why I was sad to leave St Louis. My kids loved to watch them bottle the root beer :) If we ever go back to St Louis, this will be our first stop! read more

Well, what can I say that hasn't already been said in 253 other reviews? This place was great for the family. The staff was wonderful and quick. They even acted like there was no problem when my two year old was acting off the chain. For an appetizer we had the fried pickles, a meal in itself, this plate was loaded. My wife and I both ordered hamburgers, they were huge! They give you a ton of fries as well. My advice is to have one person get fries and the other to get some other side and share. I had the Black and Bleu burger. It was loaded with the bleu cheese. Well I was stuffed at this point and my daughter was talking about getting three different root beer floats. Ah heck no! I'm already in a grease, fried coma, no need to add a sugar coma too. So all four of us shared a regular, old fashioned root beer float. Good pick for a family outing. The kids enjoyed the atmosphere and trying all the different flavored sodas. The bottling area isn't big and wasn't operating when we were there. The dining area is very loud. The patio was super nice and much quieter. We ordered the southend pizza, Italian chopped salad, and two floats. It was all surprisingly good. I expected more 'chain like' quality. The Eurostar (with Nutella!) and Mt Everest floats were both delicious. Huge portions, plenty for sharing. read more

Fitz's is a good place to go for a casual meal on the Loop. I recommend the fried pickles and turkey club with chili mayo. And if you're a root beer person split a root beer float with a friend. This was one of our go-to places when we lived in STL. They also have good drink deals on game days. read more

Took my family to this location after a long day at the St Louis Zoo. Have to say...VERY glad we did. The Caesar Chicken Wrap was terrific, and my wife's burger looked incredible. My son even ate an entire kids cheese pizza (which he RARELY does), so that is a positive as well. And the list of ice cream floats combos they have are impressive, and the one my wife ordered was huge! But the real star of our meal was the Coffee Cola...sweet Jeebus, that stuff is AWESOME! Bought an entire case of it to bring home (24 bottles for $17.99 was a hell of a deal for this golden elixer of the Gods)...we WILL be back!!! read more

This is a great novelty family restaurant! The floats are spectacular! It would be quite a feat to finish a meal and a float in one sitting! Great selection of sodas and menu. They bottle their own soda in the restaurant, so you can watch while waiting for your food. It's kinda pricey, but it's worth it to see the joy on my kids faces! read more

My family was in town visiting so went to Fitts for lunch around 1:30 pm. Our wait time was about 35 minutes for our party of six, I expected that since it was the weekend and this place is so popular. Luckily, we got sat within a clear shot of the bottling process. My sibling is 8 and was so amazed at watching everything. Our server was friendly and very attentive. She had soda refills on the table before we ever had to ask. I ordered the bottomless mug of cream soda, I will admit that I've had better, but it was still good. Our spinach dip appetizer came out fairly quickly which was great because we were starving. I expected our meals to take a long time to be delivered since the establishment was so busy, but they were out within 10-15 minutes of ordering. I ordered the Philly cheese steak, if I ever return I probably won't order it again just because the bread seemed to get soggy and it wasn't enjoyable to eat. My husband had the black n Bleu burger and he loved it. Overall, I was very pleased with this choice of dining. Every one in our party was satisfied with their meals and the service. The bottling factory was great entertainment for our kids, the food comes out quickly, and the root beer floats were so tasty. We were visiting STL on vacation and so glad we chose Fitz's for dinner. I wouldn't recommend going if you don't have kids, but I didn't check out the upstairs so I could've overlooked the more adult dining option. When my family first arrived we waited by the door behind another couple who was also waiting to be helped. There was a sign saying "please wait to be seated". After 20 minutes the couple asked a girl waiter how long is the wait she told them to just go to the patio and find a seat. This prompted me to come up to her and ask if her if I could ask her a question and she told me "hold on". She then left and never came back. We decided to just got to the patio on our own. There were lots of tables open but each one had old food from prior customer so we just stood by a table. A male waiter came up cleaned the table and left. Didn't say a word to us. Once we sat down it took the same man 15 minutes to come take our drink order and then 15 minutes to get our food order. He did bring our food after some time and we asked him for some items ( ketchup, napkins, refill) which he said he would get but then never came back. We had to wave him over to remind him and he still didn't bring the items. We had to go up to the bar multiple times to get refills, condiments, and our bill. We didn't even get a apology when we got the times ourselves . They made us feel we were bothering them. Due to the worst customer service we will not return. We also did not get a few cases of soda or dessert which we came for due to the poor attitudes and customer service. read more

We loved this restaurant. The service was quick. We were seated as soon as we arrived. The food had very large portions. We split a dinner entree and it was more than enough. Very disappointed! Made a silly mistake of not checking Yelp first because the place was packed inside. The root beer was terrible and we had to ask for a refill on our bottomless cup after our waitress came back several times and just looked at it. Kids got chicken strips and fries which were just okay. Husband got nachos and said "I feel gross for saying this, but some bites literally taste how poop smells". - that was enough to end my appetite. He said the texture was mushy. He quit eating his and had a few bites of my brisket which was sub par at best. Honestly, the best thing we ordered were the fries. Very disappointing and such a waste of money! read more

The first impression while in waiting room = very dirty. When we sat down at the table more of the same sticky smeared nastiness on the table, searing and floors. A dirty rag wiping a dirty table. Service was very slow and the food was below average as well. The floats are good and I would only go here for dessert. Eat somewhere else. We didn't visit on an off day. Very fun atmosphere. You can watch the root beer being bottled behind a glass window in the dining area. Great soda (free refills!) and great American food. Fun, family-friendly (even educational) place in a great neighborhood with divine burgers, good fries, a wonderful pretzel app, delicious shakes, and wonderful root beer (bottled on site behind a glass wall for you to watch) and lots of Fitz's own bottled sodas. Such a fun atmosphere, but my burger and my kid's chicken tenders were uneventful. The root beer did not disappoint however.

What can I say? The place has made me a regular. Good food, good service. Right on the loop. I love the relaxing, family feel of the place. The turkey sandwich is one of my favorites and is made with a slab of breast meat and tastes like Thanksgiving. I also will frequently order their patty melt on Texas toast (not a fan of rye), and it's delicious. I've never been disappointed with the appetizers. And kids love the sodas and floats. read more

The service both times we went there is horrible. We sat a table for over 15 minutes and nobody came to help us! Not even to bring us water. Our kids were thirsty and starving and starting to get fussy. And the place wasn't even full, there were many available tables. When we complained, the girl just looked at me with a blank expression, did not even acknowledge or apologize for the terrible service. After 20 minutes, we got up and left. I had a wonderful time at Fitzs's. Me and my wife came here on Sunday and was automatically greeted with kindness and hospitality by a wonderful young hostess. Our server was very helpful and informative about the items on the menu and was always there when we needed. I ordered the fish and chips and my wife ordered the turkey club with a side salad.
