Middle Eastern meets Pizza!! Great authentic meals from shawarmas, subs, salads and pizza!! Good salad options from tabouleh, chicken kabob or shawarma salads to bbq chicken or buffalo chicken salads. Combo plates from falafel, shawarma, kabobs that come with rice, salad and pita. Pizzas are delicious as they also have calzones and Stromboli's from cheese, pepperoni, meat lovers to Phillycheesesteak, falafel, lamb. The hummus is homemade and delicious (get the one with the sumac), as is the homemade falafel- delicious!! Daughter and son loved the beef kabob plate and the lamb pita. Hubs loved his pizza and salad!! Great service and delicious homemade food from pizza to shawarma's. They have great lunch specials and combo's too!!

At first, I was skeptical about this place. Barely anyone on the street and there's like no customers in the restaurant. I just didn't feel it for this place. Surprisingly, I actually like their food! They were yummy and pretty authentic with the shish kabob and shawarma. I love them! But I didn't try their pizza. I don't see a parking lot or parking garage nearby. I am guessing it's mainly street parking.

The food was immaculate. No words can describe how delicious this restaurant is. They have great customer service and the place is super nice and the ambience is brick and mortar. 10/10 recommend to anyone and everyone!

Oh I'm a fan! This was my first visit and I already know I will be a full on, devoted FAN now. I tend to be a falafel snob. Most restaurants don't know how to get it right. Sadly, all the falafel I have had was dry once you got past the outer fried part. Five Boroughs is the exception. My falafel on a pita was full of flavor and it didn't have that dry, mushy thing going on. One bite of that sandwich (and might I suggest you order it with the "spicy" option) made me a fan! My husband had lamb shawarma and he said everything on the platter was superb. The hummus is so smooth (like good hummus should be!) We shall return!!

Chicken shawarma filled with crumbly bits of chicken and not juicy chunks of meat.

The pizza was traditional NY style pizza, and it was pretty good. I did not enjoy the chicken shawarma platter. Other posts had large chunks of chicken, whereas I got mostly rice and crumbly bits of chicken. It was almost as if they were running out of meat for the night, and I got what was left at the bottom of the pan.

Yum- lamb with hummus and pita

The pizza is consistently good. Mediterranean items can be hit or miss. During my most recent visit I opted to try the lamb with hummus and pita along with the tabbouleh which is a favorite salad of mine. The hummus was excellent and the lamb chunks were sizable. I'm glad I decided to give the lamb another try after trying the lamb shawarma wrap which had finely minced lamb and not enough vegetables. The texture wasn't pleasing on the wrap as it mostly felt like mush in the mouth. I did not enjoy the wrap and would avoid ordering any of their wraps again. To say the taboulleh was disappointing would be an understatement. What they serve here is NOT taboulleh and I would recommend they remove it from their menu if they have no intention of making it properly. What I received was oily chopped iceberg lettuce with barely any tomato (unripe) and a sprinkling of black pepper and lemon. There were no cucumbers or scallions, mint nor parsley - no crunch no texture no flavor! The price on their taboulleh is insulting for what they actually provide which was a last minute throwing together of subpar low quality ingredients that cost pennies to prepare. 5 Boroughs should be ashamed to serve this item and I have no doubt the employees would not eat this themselves nor pay the ridiculous cost for what is mostly iceberg lettuce. I've included a photo of my homemade taboulleh to give contrast between what is authentic and the knock-off they're serving.

My first experience, the owner/manager, was very rude. We were able to get pass that. The pizza is amazing. A very close copy of a NY pizza. I've had the hamburger as well, it was good.

I was really intrigued when I saw pizza & Mediterranean as the categories, and I'm so glad we gave it a try. The hummus was delicious, the meat was wonderfully seasoned. We got both the shawarma combo and kabob combo, and I think next time I'll stick to the kabob combo. We didn't get pizza, but it looked like really good New York style pizza. Give Five Boroughs a try, and you won't be disappointed!

Lacks customer service. Cashier was rude AF. No professionalism at all. No comparison to the real 5 boroughs restaurant.

As a result, my husband and I went by here yesterday to pick up two large pizzas for a pizza party we were having for my aunt who's celebrating another birthday. Happy birthday Aunt Donna! Nevertheless, we arrived about 3:30p 3:45p on a Saturday and it wasn't busy at all. My husband was able to walk in order two pizzas and we were in and out and about 20-25 minutes. We drove another 15 minutes to the house before we began to dive into the pizza. We ordered the thin crust with only pepperoni and oh my gosh it was so good!! Again we attended a pizza party and this was the best pizza hands down out of I think six places people brought pizza from this was the first to go so good so fresh! I love thin crust highly recommend you check out Rita's if you haven't before. The parking no issue at all and you don't necessarily need to call it in either you can just walk up order your pizza and get it in a reasonable amount of time. It's located in a shopping center in Portsmouth so you have other shops that you can browse around well not necessarily shop, but I believe there is a brewery next door but your time will not be wasted while waiting for this goodness! Have fun and enjoy life :)

My husband went inside, so I didn't get to see what it looks like in there, but it's seems to be in a good location and looks pretty roomy from the outside. The only thing I didn't like was the mix up about paying for the pizza. I paid online with my credit card, but when my husband went in, they handed him a receipt to sign, which doesn't usually happen when you've already paid online. My husband thought the pizza wasn't paid for, and mentioned it to me when he got back to the car. I had him go in and make sure they didn't charge us twice. The employee told him they do that for the tip portion of the receipt. I thought that was a bit disingenuous. My husband ended up putting the tip on the receipt and signing it, but I was a bit put off by all that. Why am I tipping you on carry out? You didn't serve me at a table. You didn't drive to north Suffolk and deliver the pizzas. What are we tipping for? We've already paid for the food.

I'm not normally a thin crust person, but their thin crust is actually really good. The cheese is flavorful, the crust has a great texture, and even a plain slice hits. That said, I'd definitely recommend trying one of their specialty slices too. The shop itself is pretty small with limited seating, so it's more of a grab-and-go spot. During lunch rush, it can get packed, but service is usually quick and the staff has always been friendly in my experience.
