    Cheeseburger no salt and pepper

Went to 5 guys for the American experience of eating a juicy burger. Saw the menu price and I was automatically turned off. $11.39. It ended up being $12.07 after taxes. I've been going to 5 guys since the early 2000's and the burgers were way better back then and bigger. After ordering my burger I got home, opened it and they put the mayo and ketchup on different buns. It had all of the toppings that I asked for and plenty of . Bit into it and it didn't have any flavor. For $12 I'm expecting this thing to be on point. That wasn't going to stop me though. I finished it and said that will be my last time going to 5 guys.

Sign from 2005 that definitely no longer applies.

Someone should let Five guys know that inflation wasn't 200%! I haven't been to a Five Guys in a while but was flabbergasted at the excessively high prices. What once was a delicious burger and tasty fries at a great price has transformed into a grease stain and tasty fries that will run you about as much as a car payment...ok, so not quite that much, but c'mon over $24 for a burger, fries, and drink?! I had a bacon mushroom Swiss burger, fries and a beer last week for less and, surprise, it tasted better too.

I have been meaning to write a review on this venue because I love them so much I keep going back. There are two by me but this is the one I frequent the most. I don't know if their beef is grass-fed or organic but nevertheless, their burgers are cooked to order and everything is so fresh. I really appreciate how they use green lettuce and leave the white lettuce out of my burgers. The potatoes are from Idaho and they will post where in Idaho they are from which I thought was cool. Their Cajun fries are perfectly crunchy and they often give you more than just a regular size order. I also love that they have coffee shakes because most places do not offer that flavor. Before the pandemic, you were able to snack on peanuts while waiting for your burger. Now that has all been taken away for public safety. They do have other options besides burgers like hot dogs and veggie burgers (which is all the vegetables they use on the burgers and that is all) but why would you order anything else from a burger venue. I definitely wouldn't. I have been back multiple times to various locations. I definitely appreciate their consistency from site to site and always look forward to my burger "all the way", Cajun fries, and coffee shake!!

Standard Five Guys quality and service. Good food, clean, and a lil pricey for a hamburger. And of course fries all over the bag!!!! All the good stuff if you wanna load up on some fatty food.

Little cheeseburger "All the way". Good food and good service at this location!

You can find me here on "cheat day". Five Guy's burgers are simple but solid and Ive never left without an order of their fresh cut fries cooked in peanut oil. I wish more restaurants believed in fresh ingredients and made to order food! There is every fast food place you can imagine along this stretch of road but Five Guys remains my go-to for a burger and fries (and a shake if Im feeling fantasy!). The food and service at this location are both top notch.

    Little Cheeseburger all the way

Always consistently good. The ingredients are fresh, they make everything to order, and it tastes great. The only complaint I have across the board is that their buns are not my favorite. If I had a choice, I'd opt for a brioche bun or a potato bun over a sesame seed bun every time, but that's not really their schtick. I've ordered multiple burgers from them a variety of ways - plain burger, bacon cheeseburger, cheeseburger, and I've topped them all the way (mayo, ketchup, mustard, lettuce, tomato, grilled mushrooms, and grilled onions) or customized. Their fries are also fantastic, and honestly the Little size is big enough to share.

Clean, great service and excellent burgers. I ordered three burgers and waited under ten minutes for my order.

There was an event going on so the downstairs dining area was full, and our only option was the bar or rooftop. We decided on the rooftop, which would've been super fun on a warm spring or summer night. It really was beautiful up there. But, it was cold and had been raining, so it was a bit of a bummer we couldn't be comfortable at a table inside. I figured I could get past being cold if the food was at least good, but the pretzel was dry and hard. They didn't offer beer cheese which was a bummer, so I tried queso and buffalo chicken dips. The dips were yummy despite the lame pretzel. The cherry on top was that the service sucked. The guy working the rooftop bar seemed miserable, like he would've rather been anywhere else. He was rude and snarky when we asked questions about the menu and made us feel like an inconvenience when we asked for to-go boxes. We will not be back.

Chicken had an Indian marsala taste to it, very flavorful and delicious. I had the chicken cordon blue Sammie and was overall a 5/5! Great sauce with a lil mustard zing. I ordered the roadhouse burgers with a side of fries. It took them a while to prepare my food. It was about 30 minutes. There were a lot of fries and they were pretty good. The burger was ok. It was luke warm at best and the bacon was a bit over-chewy. It did have a lot of flavor though and was not the worse burger I have had. I just could have been better. Lately I've enjoyed coming back with the kids for mini burgers. This King Street location has turned me off for good. Visited on July 4 for a hotdog. It wasn't even busy and I stood at the register across from the staff member who said nothing and completely ignored me. I checked the signage and looked for a self serve screen to make sure I wasn't missing something. No, she just couldn't be bothered to take my order. While I waited I heard the manager take a phone call and apologize to the caller and promise a refund. Should have been a red flag, but I just wanted a hotdog so I didn't sweat it. After eventually ordering I noticed that a couple of people attempted to use the bathrooms, which were apparently locked, but there was no signage. I saw a couple of hotdogs come off the grill and they looked great. When I received mine, the ingredients were slightly off. No worries, I went to the condiment area to get some ketchup, and when I opened it the hotdog was barely warm and still had that red/pink raw hotdog color, unlike the other dogs I'd seen come off the flat top. Definitely got the sense that there are endemic performance issues at the place. I wouldn't have trusted any food they prepared so I just left and didnt even ask them to fix it. If it's like that at a prominent location like King Street, I'm not confident that they're meeting standards at other locations. Definitely not trusting them to feed my kids.

The visit was unique, the story is unique and the food is unique! Let's do this! Established in 1950 or 1954 (reports vary but the sign on the building says 1954), Weenie Beenie was a modest hot dog stand serving hot dogs and beans. It was started by two brothers, Carl and Bill Staton. Bill happened to be an incredible and ultimately famous traveling pool player who went by the name... you guessed it... Weenie Beenie! He won 27k in Arkansas (which is a LOT of money in the 1950's) and used the money to finance the hot dog stand's growth! He appeared on television, played hustlers across the country, and backed other hustlers while living the pool and entrepreneur life. During the 50's, a period of entrenched segregation in Virginia, Weenie Beenie distinguished itself by hiring black employees on the same terms as whites when most white‑owned businesses would not hire blacks at all. This made Weenie Beenie a rare example of early workplace integration in Arlington and a meaningful employer within the historically Black Green Valley community. Its reputation for fairness became a very important part of its legacy, remembered along with the food and its very colorful founder. We popped over and found a 70+ year old walk-up stand with a colorful, diverse and engaging set of customers and friendly service. In faded letters on the front wall to the left are the 10 commandments! No breaking any divine rules at Weenie Beenie's! We all chatted and I learned the one guy comes every day! The old man in the suit was very polite and reserved. The younger Latin and black clientele were fun and engaging and we joked around quite a bit. Another older man was as 38-year veteran of the armed service! Thank you sir! I heard some stories... Of course, we ordered half-smokes! They are well-seasoned half-pork, half beef, smoked sausages that are truly incredible. Weenie Beenie's are unique and delicious! Life is good with a historic, unique, fun and respectful half smoke.
