Five Guys in Boulder is a gem. Among the best burgers I've ever had, and all-the-way with dressings, fries are an enormous serving, shakes are exceptional, and the staff totally know what they're doing. Turn around was about 10 min. compared to 60 min. at the competing Shake Shack, which was a disappointment in quality as well. FG's will get my business every time. read more

Delicious, spot-on burgers and fresh fries. Yum! There are numerous topping choices for free (grilled onions are free!), with a number of specialty add-ons like barbeque sauce. Be warned that the "normal" burger is two patties! If you want only one patty, order the "small". Boy, that was a juicy, tasty burger and the buns were toasted nicely! (Cold buns turn me off). The staff at the 29th Street Mall were terrific, very helpful and polite. I was pleasantly surprised that the staff kept themselves fairly busy, sweeping and refilling condiments, and not just standing around when things slowed - big props guys. The seating is very basic and no-frills, and the temperature inside is a little chilly. One word of caution: they have bushels of free peanuts in open crates - so all you folks with peanut allergies need to stay away. YUM, more for me! But seriously, the peanuts are everywhere, so if your child, spouse, etc has an allergy, you'd best head over to Larkburger or such. Big thumbs up to 5 Guys at 29th Street Mall. Over priced, bland burger that left me looking for the bacon I wanted. Plenty of vellvita cheese to go. Both slices placed between the meat. Soggy fries that were just thrown into the bag. It was truly disappointing to go to a place that a lot of hype had been put in. Did it want to be a greasy spoon? Not even close; The fries were to try to get the bag what they had thrown it in and the most moist thing on the burger was the cheese. None of this I would consider healthy; because everything was to stale in taste. This is good cafeteria food at most. And to pay 14 bucks for just one hamburger and a lot of barely cooked fries is really disappointing. read more

This place rocks the burger world. Best burgers, best shakes in town. It might be pricy for a fast food joint...it is fast...but it's not fast food. Don't know if the staff today were just new but I ordered the same thing I always do. This time they remembered every ingredient except the patty... Lol. This 5 guys sucks!!! $3.09 for the worlds smallest fries is a joke!! Went up to ask about it and had everyone on the line make eye contact with me and no one bothered to help me or see what was up. Won't ever being coming back to Boulder location, hands down the worst one!!! Been a fan of 5 guys for awhile and know from friends and experiences at other locations that the amount of fries i should receive. Must be pitching penny's at this location. As a former Angeleno, every time I eat a burger I'm comparing it to In-N-Out. I've done pretty much all the burger chains around here (Smashburger, Larkburger, Good Times, etc) and Five Guys is the closest thing to In-N-Out you'll find. I ordered the "normal" (which means double in Five Guys) cheeseburger with Cajun fries. The burger was seriously one of the best I've ever had and the fries where unreal. The staff was great, the place was clean, the food was high quality and cooked perfectly, they even had free peanuts (although I don't know why anyone would want to eat a bunch of nuts before putting down a large burger and fries). Great place, great food. Not much more you can ask for. read more

With Smashburger and Larkburger both around the corner, I'm not sure why anyone would go to Five Guys. It's decent and certainly better than fast food burgers like McDonalds or Burger King, but doesn't hold a candle to those other two burger places. read more

The Best Burgers and Shakes around!! Straightforward menu, helpful cashiers, and capable cooks.

This was by far one of the best fast food burguers I've had. The fries were perfect, not factory like. Portions are big. And the service was pretty good. Although, i believe five guys is a bit expensive for a fast food chain. I highly reccomend it, i would definitely go back and choose this stablishment above the shack, in-n-out and others. I have to say, while I love the taste of their burgers and the fries and the staff is always super friendly every time I eat here I feel sick afterwards. I eat a lot of burgers all over town and I don't have this problem anywhere else. I have given this place about 4 tries and each time without fail I get a terrible stomach ache. read more

One of my go-to-places and favorite "basic" burgers. Try the regular (double patty) cheese burger with grilled onions, bacon, and mayo.

Five Guys know how to make a solid, tasty burger and fries (not to mention their delicious malt shakes!), so I have visited this location fairly frequently. They are almost always on the money, but today, I asked for no tomatoes (it just makes it too soggy for me), and they put tomatoes on there... Bummer. It's not a big drama, but it did make my burger more "wet," which was what I was trying to avoid. read more

A big shout out to the Five Guys on 29th street mall in Boulder. My son was there with friends and the server gave a round of small sodas to the kids because it was really hot today and the server was thoughtful. Whenever the grandkids are in town for the weekend, I take them here. It is by far my favorite burger place in Boulder. Not too loud, really love the atmosphere. The music takes me back to the good old days. Kid-friendly. The joint is popular and sometimes there's a line, but its worth the wait. If you want to avoid the college kids come in the mornings. They open at 10:00am. Great spot to take the wife to dinner and a movie on 29th st mall. Really upbeat, fun staff. There service is professional, and the employees are polite and courteous. Burgers are good and big, and you get to choose your toppings. If your trying to watch your salt intake, go with the no salt fries, just ask. During their busy hours, there's been a couple of times where I got the wrong toppings, but the staff is always accommodating, and helps you when there's problems. I'll have to plan a date soon with the wife, been married 40 years. read more

Great burgers but they need to get a handle on pick up orders and communication within the staff. Makes no sense to call in an order 20-30 min ahead of time then wait in line when they have a pickup window thats unattended or you get ignored. Typical boulder. read more

The burger was so greasy and bland. Fries were greasy and bland. The bun was soggy when I got it and I ate at the location. Just not good. Over priced. I can think of many placed in Boulder to get a way better $10 burger. Good milk shake though but not good enough to justify the horrific burger. read more
