This was our first visit to this Five Guys location and, being a new location, everything was pretty well spot-on as far as a great Five Guys visit can be. One of the things I both like and dislike about Five Guys is menu choices.  I love that you build your own burger.  The menu is a list of items to add to your burger as you choose.  There are no pre-defined menu items.  You get to build your own bridge.  At the same time, sometimes my brain doesn't want to be a bridge builder, it just wants to look at a menu and pick a number. Not a detractor at all, but sometimes Jim's brain doesn't want to have to think too much. You have two choices for fries:  Regular and Cajun.  Jim's handy tip:  Get The Cajun.  And be hungry.  You'll get more fries (even when order a small) to feed 8 or 12 people.  I'm not joking. (ok...exaggerating maybe).  The fries are cut fresh from fresh potatoes in the store several times a day, which makes them just about my favorite. The red and white decor is fun and harkens back to the  soda fountain/burger joint days when people wore paper hats and aprons.  The overhead music is a good blend of old and new, and is not too loud.  The walls are decorated with newspaper articles from across the country singing Five Guys praises. The music on this particular visit was a bit loud. Actually it was REALLY loud. So loud that I could barely understand what the woman who was taking my order was saying. Between the mask and the louder-than-it-needed-to-be music, she'd have been better off using ASL because there was no conversation to be had. Do I like Depeche Mode? I LOVE Depeche Mode. Just not so loud that I feel like I'm in the front row at a concert when I really want is a frickin' burger. I think, too, that either someone else said something to one of the staff or someone heard my not-too-subtle comments about the music because about halfway through our meal the audio was turned down and auditory conversation could begin. Five Guys burgers are cooked when ordered, not like some other places.  Sure, it's going to take you a few minutes to get your food, but you'll know that it's fresh because you can watch the entire process.  Not all burger places give you that kind of visibility.

3/13 Update to previous review. This establishment is still doing a great job with socially distancing but I had to knock the rating down due to three different guests coming in not wearing masks as per the signs on the doors. I would hope this establishment would take it seriously being as they are a restaurant and should be ensuring their guests are safe by requiring customers to wear a mask. I hate that I have to say this but it is important and relevant in the current situation. Other than that, another amazing experience.

Hadn't been to Five Guys in a few years but was excited for this new addition on Veterans. The first time I placed and online order and all went smoothly. I will say the burgers and fries end up being a bit pricier than your average fast food because you have to buy everything separate. But I will also say that I believe it to be superior to other fast food burgers. If you go inside and order, expect it to take a little while as I think they are still training staff and working out the kinks. However, the service I have received on my handful of times in have all been good. Also, this last time I balled out and got a malted milkshake, and I'll say that I was not at all disappointed. The fries are some of my favorites, too. All in all a quality meal if you're craving that burger hitter.

    Solid looking storefront.

If you've ever visited a Five Guys then you probably already know how warm and inviting the atmosphere is. The free peanuts and joyful attitude of the cashiers is very welcoming. Now the burgers, let's just say they're fantastic. Excellent toppings and thoroughly cooked patties to juicy perfection. I really appreciate their attention to details like the purity of the meat. No excessive fat or chew allowed. Their toppings are also diced nicely so you don't get any accidental burger slippage. Their fries accent the burger perfectly. They're fresh cut and salted generously. There really isn't much to complain about here. Just excellent burgers and fries.

My order was all wrong and cold and everyone seemed in a rush to get me out the door so they could close a little early.

I am blown away at how good this place is! I've always been familiar but I've never actually had…read morethe chance to come here. Immediately upon walking in you can smell the Smokey flavors brewing!! The young lady at the front desk was super helpful, as a first timer I had no idea what to order and I'm a bit indecisive when it comes to food! Not only was she super patient but she recommended some great items and even threw in a free dessert since it was my first time. So let's go ahead and rate everything! The turkey was a 20 out of 10! Seriously some of the best smoked turkey I've tasted and it was super moist and it pairs nicely with the mesquite bbq sauce(TRUST ME). I also ordered the Mac & Cheese and I'd say it was a solid 8.5 out of 10. I'm a fan but it felt like it was missing a little something but overall just a great taste. The collard greens were delicious! Sweet but not overly done and I really loved that they didn't add meat and just kept it simple with peppers! Very good. The cornbread tasted like my mom was back there making it from scratch. Seriously good! Now for the grand finale? The peach cobbler!!! Are you serious?? This was sooooo good! The peaches, the crust? I mean it deserves an award. Overall probably some of the best dessert I've had in a long time! This place has a new fan and weekly customer, it's worth every penny, and I'm happy it's not far from home! I ordered to go and the service was beyond quick and food was hot even when I got home. Also, I have to mention everything was packaged so neat and I have to say hats off to the staff! If you dine in, there are plenty of tables and seating. I'm glad I finally got to try this place and I think you should too, especially if you're reading this :)

I prefer my fries on the crispy side, but I ate these anyways. We also got a piece of cornbread by accident and that didn't hurt my feelings. I had interaction with Ben, Manager and Gabriel, at register. They were very cordial and informative. A young lady came by our table and offered a free taste of cucumber and tomato salad. Wife and I both got a sample and agree it was good. I look forward to our next visit and try the meatloaf and some other sides.

A dill pickle slice and a piece of white bread are also included in the meal deal, including a drink. The coating on the chicken tenders is crunchy and every bite had just the right amount of Tweener heat. The dipping sauce was tangy and helped mitigate the heat. The kale salad is one of my favorite sides and I order it whenever available. It is lightly dressed and has currants and almonds for added crunch and flavor. We were able to order on the app for quick pickup and even had accrued points to get an additional tender as a promotion, which was a nice surprise. It doesn't take long to generate enough points to garner a loyalty reward. Our order was prepped and ready for pickup when we arrived shortly thereafter. Staff were welcoming and friendly. Looking forward to future visits.

I stopped and got a chicken tender combo, HOT, and it was perfection. The heat here is always an amazing combo of clearing out your sinuses, but carefully built flavor, too. How are these tenders so dang juicy? They brine them! How many spots that are doing chicken tenders do all that? I got their mashed potatoes and gravy. Delish! Also with a little kick. And even their coca cola was spicy! (Not heat spicy, but amazingly carbonated!) Everything came out fresh, hot and delicious. And shout out to Mickey, who is the GM here. She is always so friendly and sweet.
