This place was pretty good. I was impressed on the burger. I had a bacon cheese burger with a small order of fries. It was served "to go" style in a bag. burger was good and the small fries came in a 16 oz size cup with a overflow scoop added on top. Overall was not bad. I will add a Peanut Warning. If you have a peanut allergy be careful they have open air peanuts at the door to snack on while you wait for your order. Went there with a friend. My friend ordered the bacon cheeseburger, I ordered the mini bacon cheeseburger along with 2 drinks and a large order of fries. There burgers are great because you can get them with all sorts of different toppings. The problem is sometimes they don't get them right, but when they do, the burger is awesome. We ordered, our number was 38. They call you up when your order is ready. They had reached number 45 and then called 38 and apologized for the wait. The burgers were great and made correctly but they gave us a small order of fries (they corrected when I brought it to their attention). The seating area is very crowded and often have people bumping your chair as they walk by. Drinks are self serve. They have ketchup as a dipping sauce. One of the great features is the free peanuts. It helps with the wait as the restaurant is usually quite busy. Even with the wait and the order sometimes being wrong, its still a great burger and definitely a place we will be going back to. read more

I you really love burgers, this is a great place to go! The burgers are really good and you have a variety of stuff to put on them like onions, mushrooms, etc. It's got a greasy spoon presentation but it does not reflect on the quality of the burgers. The fries are also pretty good. I'm not a big fan of french fries but I thought it was pretty cool that they just dump them into the paper bag your burgers arrive in, plus they look as good as they taste. The atmosphere is pretty cool too. It's kind of retro with lots of white and red and it looked good which I feel really added to the experience. Also, if you really like to eat peanuts, you'll be in luck because they flow freely there and you can help yourself to as much as you'd like. Too bad I hate them. read more

So check this out, Ive never been inside this particular 5 guys so this review is about my takeout experience. My wife and MIL went her for lunch a while back and my wife calls and wants to know if I want a burger. its 5 guys so I say of course! About 30 minutes later said burger plus fries arrive and I am in heaven. I get a Bacon Cheese Burger with everything on it, plus a side of fries. Now this place gets my 5 star rating because this burger and these fries survived the 15 minute journey to my house perfectly. The burger was hot and delicious, not soggy at all. I read somewhere that 5 Guys was considered above average so I decided to try a bacon burger and small fries. The burger was bland and boring. The beef had little flavor. Even the bacon lacked any pronounced flavors. The mustard and pickles were both odd choices for a burger to me. The onions tasted hours or days old. The fries were greasy and limp. This mess cost over $10 plus the ubiquitous tip jar. Washington has some great burgers at independents like Shawn O'Donnell's, Nicks Jr., Mikies and Billy On's. I don't see why these chains keep opening up here. Their food is always inferior. Even Washington's local chains Dick's and Burgermaster far exceed Five Guys. It was my first time and I was in love. The cheeseburger was hot and definitely ready to be devoured. I added relish and it was the best decision I've made that entire day! Yum!!! 5 Guys is a mix between fast food and restaurant quality. The hand cut fried cannot be beat, especially with the cajun seasoning. The fries to me, remind me of the east coast, as they are a thick freshly cut fry. The sandwiches can be ordered in different sizes. I feel that the smallest size is plenty big, especially if there are fries involved. I always split an order of fries with my husband, and we can rarely finish the fries. Overall, I feel that the price is about where it should be, right in the middle between fast food and restaurant, just as the food itself is. Lastly, the burgers could benefit from a tad more seasoning, eg. salt and pepper. read more

I love 5 guys-food is consistently top quality and prices are great. However Friday night the odor of restroom deodorizer was so strong and awful that I could actually smell it in line to order. Meh...Not too sure what the hype is about five guys..it's expensive for fast food style. I was expecting maybe grass-fed or at least something special about the burger paying $12 for a meal plus tip but there wasn't. The little bacon cheeseburger tasted a step up from McDonalds and a step below Dicks which is way cheaper and they outsource locally. The prices don't add up here and I feel a bit cheated on top of being obligated to tip...a tip for what? Ringing me up? I sure as heck wasn't waited on, didn't receive a real plate and in fact cleaned up after myself. My costly $12 more than covers the meal. The meal: There was no wow factor to the meat at all which was void of seasonings and bland. The toppings were fresh which is the only thing that puts this place above a McDonald's. The fries were unsalted?? but hot and fresh as well. Not sure I like them, they're not crispy at all..perhaps salt would've made the difference though. I wouldn't recommend, just not worth it. 5 Guys is one of those guilty pleasures you don't get to have every day. On one hand, it's pretty expensive for a quick bite. On the other hand, it is worth every penny. for 2 burgers, 1 regular fry (trust me, there's enough to share) and 2 sodas don't expect to spend less than $20. Having said that, they have some of the tastiest burgers I've ever eaten. On top o that, 5 Guys has an ambiance that I haven't seen in quite a while. The store always seems to blend all of the good things about yesteryears' burger shops, all the speed of a fast food place, and all the quality and environment of a sit-down. One last demerit, tough I would call it a good testament to the quality. The store is almost always crowded. The novelty of 5 Guys has worn off a bit, but I always still see it packed. Just went in on the grand opening day for the new Lynnwood location and I am a convert. I think Five Guys has the best burgers of any quick service/fast food restaurant. I ordered the little bacon cheeseburger (about 1/4 pound of burger is not little too me) and it was sooo good. Unlimited toppings allowed me to create my own burger (bbq, mayo, grilled onions, pickles) without the added cost of the boutique places that offer the same thing. The bacon and burger were both of really high quality. The wife ordered a little bacon cheeseburger "all the way" which is all the toppings in black on the menu (youll see). The fries are humongous, one regular fry was enough for us. Couldn't really taste the cajun on our cajun fries, but really good. Price is decent too for the quality. I'll be going back, hopefully not too often though, as I don't think my belt could handle too many indulgences. read more

I hate to be a detractor when the hype about Five Guys has been so positive. My husband and I went to Five Guys with great anticipation. We heard their burgers were over the top better than any place else. It was a Saturday night...raining of course in Seattle. We noticed that the line snaked arouind the inside of the restaurant. There not enough tables. Someone slipped on the wet tile from the rain and nearly took a fall. Yes, linoleum and rubber mats get slippery when wet. There were no caution signs or an employee there warning people about the slick. Okay, got in line and after 20 minutes, we were able to order. Since we had heard their burgers were huge, we decided to split a bacon cheeseburger with lettuce and tomato with mayo. After 20 more minutes, they called our number. The Husz went to pick up the order. He brought it to the table and we noticed the burger was a lot smaller than we thought. Okay, let's just eat it. Well, after one bite, this was not the bacon cheeseburger we ordered. They had given us the wrong order...obvivously the order of someone who wanted a small bacon burger with hickory sauce and pickles (blegh). I guess we could have complained to management and they probably would have made good on our order, but we were too full and frankly, tired of the noise and the crowds. The tables are very close together. It feels uncomfortable and claustrophic there. People trying to walk by your table end up banging into your table, your chair and your body just to get anywhere. At first when I walked in, it felt a bit like In & Out Burger (I'm a former OC girl.). The only thing missing was milk shakes. That's a big missing piece, especially for a burger and fries place. They also fry their fries in peanut oil. I'm glad they tell you that outright because I am allergic to peanuts. So, I unfortunately, could not eat too many fries or I'd be having Benadryl for dessert. The burger we had WAS okay, but nothing to write home about. Maybe the pickles and hickory sauce had something to do with my assessment. But I think it had more to do with the whole package...the lack of ambiance, the noise, the tables all crammed together, etc. I think it's a great place if you like that kind of atmosphere but definitely not my kind of place. I'll stick with Dick's (which will be opening in Edmonds soon...yeah!) and In & Out Burger when I'm down south. But Five Guys just didn't do it for me. I mean it's 5 guys so you know what to expect overall. My cheese burger was fresh and well made and of course I had copious amounts of fresh and greasy french fries. The service was friendly and prompt at opening. My only complaint is that my burger was buried underneath my fries in my paper bag. Since the fries were literally just out of the fryer I basically had to dump them out in order to get to the burger without getting scorched. read more

I don't get the hype! I'd rate Dicks, In and Out, and even Red Robin way higher than this. The meat did not have a great grilled flavor, which you'd expect paying $6 for a small bacon cheeseburger. I'd tried these guys once before at their Northgate location, but all I remembered was that the bag was greasy from the fries. So today I thought I'd give it a second chance. Should've skipped it. It's supposed be a fast casual kind of place. I expected it to be a buck or so more than Wendy's or McD's. Nope--more. First the Pros: the menu board was front and center showing the prices and offerings. They offer caffeine-free Diet Coke, a rarity. Plenty of catsup available. Peanuts if you need an appetizer. The restroom was clean. And lots of choices for your burger. The Cons: Who needs $3+tax worth of french fries? They can't come up with an invidual order size? They give them to you in a cup, then throw (purposefully) more into the bag they give you with the order? C'mon, don't shake me down for an extra $1 on fries. The smallest drink 20oz., price--$2.09+tax. The burger was worth what I paid for it $4.39+tax (for a cheeseburger). They're saving money here--the patty reminded me of the cheeseburger at McD's, it was that small--definitely UNDER 1/4 lb. The chairs are metal--cold. The tables are stacked too close together, you can't back up from one without hitting another. Total damage for a cheeseburger, fries, and a Coke (all the smallest size you can order)? $10.37 Won't be back to this brand...sorry Five Guys read more

When I moved to Lynnwood, I was thrilled to see there was a Five Guys close. My dad and I stopped there on a Saturday night to pick up dinner for a houseful of people and we were shocked to see how packed it was! But the line went fast and they took our order easily. We then picked up some of the free peanuts and sat at a table to watch the magic happen. Those workers literally had me dazed - they are AWESOME at what they do. They had an assembly line going that was so efficient and the workers were actually smiling and having a good time. It was fun to watch! And of course, the burgers and fries were ah-mazing. Okay, okay, I get the hype of Five Guys. After shocking many people that I haven't had Cinco Hombres, I finally went. The Mr has been curious about this place for a while, and since we now live pretty close to this location vs the Northgate one we dazzled on in. The place is a bit loud, bright, and the staff working with organized chaos. They're friendly and not overbearing. The burgers are pretty decent, but I am not a fan of the bun. For all that you're able to put into their burger, you need a better "vehicle" I don't like it falling apart on me and getting all messy. Or is that what they want you do do? I've tried the Regular and Little. I am definitely on lil end. I can't open my mouth wide enough for their regular. I am not complaining though, you get a lot of burger. Lil does just fine for me. Their fries are pretty good, and I prefer the regular to Cajun. That's just me. They do not skimp on the fries, that's for sure! I love that they have a big ole box of peanuts to nosh on while you wait for your food. I try not to make a mess, because it must be a pain to sweep the floor, day in and day out, but it's hard not to. The prices are okay. I guess this place will do, for my In N Out cravings. I am in love with their Cajun fries. I cannot find tasty fries like these anywhere else. I also love that they have peanuts you can eat before your meal.
