truth be told, i don't know if a burger can be 5 star worthy. if there was, this was not it. the burger was okay. yes, you can add all the toppings you want, but then it's one sloppy mess. there was too much mayo on mine. burger bun got wet and mushy. nothing surprised me about this burger. the fries.. i think it was overcooked. that or the temp was too high. it was dry n crisp on outside, empty inside. as in, the potato got fried out. boo. but it was only 4.29 for the little bacon cheeseburger (one patty compared to regular size--two patties). and agreed with below review that person handing out food was uber friendly on 10/6. good job there. read more

Dont let the long lines fool you, they move fast. We got into line behind 15 peeps and 3 minutes later is was our turn to order! They have a very minimal menu, no fancy made up hamburgers to choose from. . All condiment and toppings are Free! Fries are extra, but they are huge and feed alot of people. Burgers are $5 and some change but they come with 2 pattys. Little burgers come with 1. I ordered a Cheese burger with the works and added Jalapenos.They give you a number and you wait for it to be called. That too takes about 3 minutes. The pattys were hand formed and delicious. The Jalapenos were fresh, not canned or pickled. Soda is bottomless. I would have to say, it was one of the best burgers Ive had in a long while. Totally worth the drive! I dont know where they got the 5 Guys from , because I counted a minimum of 12 guys in the kitchen cooking up burgers, which accounts for the speedy service. It is a busy place , there was a constant line and the seating seems a bit chaotic and cramped, I wouldnt want to go there on a weekend during the lunch rush. read more

Burgers really just are burgers to me...unless it's In-n-Out. I appreciate that the menu is simple and I don't have to figure out how much things cost with or without toppings since it's all free. Though the list of toppings is a bit insane, but more options are typically better than less. Cajun fries are yummy and you get free peanuts while you wait. Prices are higher than average, spend apx. $19 for 2 burgers, 1 regular fries and 2 regular drinks. For those prices, I'm just not sure that Five Guys is THAT great. read more

The first time I had five guys was in DC. Sooo happy that they have them here now. while a burger can be a burger this place kicks that up a notch but giving you load of options to add on. My favorite is jalapenos, the fresh kind not pickled from a jar...yum! These burgers are juicy and it send to me the more I add on the worse it is. Don't sweat it...do what I do...get more napkins. As a bonus the fry potions are huge. Unless you are a big easter you'll want to share one order. Funny that they aren't as generous on the fry portions in WA State it seemed to me you got even more frys in the DC area. either way you should be full when you leave! read more

Great fries! I've always came to this location to grab an order to go but unfortunately the last few times they were not very accurate with my order & seemed too busy talking amongst themselves. Went to 5 guys for the first time last night. Loved their food! Was recommended that I get the "smaller" jr bacon cheeseburger ($5) and I'm glad I did. It's still the 1/4 pound size which was plenty. The American cheese is an extra creamy version and lighter in color which I enjoyed. Very melted. My son had the regular bacon cheeseburger ($7) which is actually a double party. We shared a regular fry which was more than enough. Took a little longer and the prices are a little higher but it's much better than fast food and less than a red robin sit down burger place. Falling fast: from fresh and fast to filthy, slow and forgetful. Every time we go lately something is forgotten from fries to milkshake. The only thing dirtier than the floors are the tables. Eating inside means you're going to smell like a dirty frier for the rest of the day. The burgers USED to each be a work of art. While nothing is ever perfect anywhere, I appreciate the 164th five guys consistently doing their best to serve hot delicious burgers and fresh cut crispy fries. The general manager Woo, is a great guy who looks past just the customer relationship and makes me feel comfortable and welcome Everytime he sees me. It no longer feels like just another chain restaurant or burger place. I will continue to come here, I just hope five guys pays their people enough. I'm a big burger fan. Burgers are probably my favorite food, and I always make a point of trying any burger with a good reputation. To say Five Guys has a good rep is an understatement -- the hype is nearly deafening. So, clearly, I had to try it. Unfortunately, I came away pretty disappointed. The burger wasn't bad; I'd definitely put it above the average fast food burger. But it wasn't phenomenal, it was far from the best burger I've ever had, and it wasn't nearly worthy of the hype (nor worth waiting in the line, though I'll admit they moved it pretty quickly). For the number of toppings on the burger, it just wasn't very flavorful at all. It didn't seem nearly as hot and fresh as it should have been, considering the volume they were cranking out. Out of context, I'd give the burger four stars, but in the context of the hype, line, crammed dining room, etc., I knock the overall experience down to three stars. One note about the toppings: On paper, I like the idea of infinitely customizable toppings. However, no matter how many toppings you have, the fundamentals -- the meat and bun -- must be great for the burger to be great. Neither component on the Five Guys burger impressed me. The toppings weren't great either, but even if they were, they couldn't have raised the burger to greatness on their own. I know Five Guys is expanding like crazy, using a franchise model. This is the only location I've been to, so I have no basis for comparison. It's possible that they're just not able to keep the quality up when franchising. If so, that would be a shame (and that concern is one of the reasons In-N-Out hasn't offered franchises). In any case, I can only evaluate the experience I've had. The bottom line is, it's not a bad burger, but for my money and time there are MANY better burgers around, some of them even available in the Seattle area (e.g. Red Mill, Teddy's Bigger Burgers). I might try Five Guys again, but I'm not going to go out of my way for it. read more

Long version: When the Five Guys Burgers location in Lynnwood opened up, I didn't take much notice of it. That is, until my father-in-law (who LOVES In-n-Out) sent me an article about how great it was... My wife got a craving for a burger one night so she sent me over there to pick up a couple of burgers and fries for dinner. When I arrived, there was a very long line. I figured "it can't take more than 15 minutes since it's fast food" so I got in line. And waited....and waited...and waited...there was only 1 cashier taking orders for a gigantic line that almost went out the door. And there were a ton of people in the kitchen, half of which were just standing around. Finally after about 20 minutes it was my turn to order so I ordered us two regular burgers and fries. Then I had to wait for my food....and I waited...and I waited. They were pretty busy and didn't have any open tables that weren't right in the middle of the giant mass of tables (they are *really* close together). So I stood in one spot, then was in the way of someone and had to move to another. Then was in the way again...I finally realized that there's no place to stand to wait for your food. This wouldn't have been so bad except I did this dance for 25 minutes! Finally, they called my name. All said and done, I was out of there in 45 minutes. To get a fast food burger. If this fast food were any slower, it wouldn't be moving...After seeing the extremely lazy workers, it's no wonder it takes so long there. I got home and we unwrapped our burgers only to find that they were double patty, which I didn't order. After reading reviews here, it seems like "regular" = "double patty" which doesn't make any sense. So it was way too much food. To top it off, the meat tasted bland and rubbery like it was Grade F quality beef. So, not only was it a lot of food, it was a lot of tasteless food. The fries were pretty good. I ordered the small size which contained a ridiculous amount of fries in the bag. There were a lot of the little crunchy bits, which I like but my wife doesn't...so it's all about what you like. Now for some comparisons (I lived in SoCal for a couple of years and became quite the burger connosouir)... Unfortunately, these two aren't local...but they're the best fast food burger you can get. In-n-Out: Cheap prices, limited menu, amazing flavor on their burgers. They use high quality meats and veggies and it really shows. Plus there's never anyone standing around...they're all working their tails off. There can be a line out the door and you'll be out of there with your food in 10 minutes. Way better than 5 guys. Carl's Jr.: They're hit and miss but usually a hit. Juicy burgers with lots of flavor (and salt and fat and calories...it's a burger, so what). In-n-Out is a little better but not by much. And for some local places. Dick's: Flat, greasy, flavorless burgers...I don't get what all the fuss is about. Shake And Go: GREAT burgers. I can't think of a local place that's any better than them. I had high hopes for Five Guys as I was told this place was better than In n Out. Since moving from CA to WA, I'll occasionally get a craving for a simple, well made but cheap burger. Sadly this place fell short of high expectations. The place was clean and staff were friendly. The wait for the food was reasonable given the number of people there but their burgers weren't anything special. It's an ok burger for the price, I just don't get the hype. read more

I was really looking forward to trying this place. The fries were excellent, though some had cold spots. The burger was ordinary. It had no flavor, or perhaps the flavor was masked by the large amount of bbq sauce they added. basically your new fast food burger joint around in the lynnwood area. Too bad you gotta wait atleast 40minutes to get your food. Truthfully i've had many burgers and nothing really spectacular stands out between burgers except for the really disgusting greasy ones. These aren't too greasy because they use peanut oil for everything instead of those other oils. Peanut oil is only a slightly bit healthier than the other oils used. Overall the only thing i think that seperates this place and McDonalds is the fries and oils used. The add any toppings thing is nice but for a $5-6 it should be a given. I don't think i can stand waiting for 40minutes and eatting peanuts the whole time. i probabaly ate about 250 calories worth of peanuts before i got my meal. I will probabaly come back only when the mob dies down and try one of their sandwhichs with their fries. read more

The burgers are massive and delicious, and the toppings are plentiful and customizable. The fries are greasy and a bit soggy, but surprisingly good for all that. Like the home fries mom used to make. Shoot for about one order of fries per two people and you'll still have plenty. Free peanuts are a nice touch, and the peanuts are actually very good. The place has been pretty dirty each time I went there. Part of this is because it's always crowded and people are just shucking their peanut shells onto the floor, but they really need somebody out there full time cleaning the place up. The lack of hygiene is the only reason why I'm giving them 3 versus 4 stars. read more

My wife and I stopped in last night and ordered food to go for her and myself and her brother. I ordered a milkshake which apparently didn't make it to the ticket even though the cashier asked if I wanted whipped cream. The food was good, but this morning i woke up with a stomach ache and was having unpleasant bowel movements.
