8/10/26 1930 hrs (7:30pm) I had the cheeseburger, mayo, mustard, ketchup, lettuce, tomato, onions (chopped, wish they had a slice of a red onion) sliced pickles, on a bun. $13.59. The burger was slightly dry, but improved as it was consumed. One problem was the chopped onions were all in one spot about the size if a silver dollar. Quite a few fell out when my mouth arrived at that certain spot. Also, the sliced end of a pickle, luckily no tomato ends. Normally i dont review a fast food chain unless something is really wrong....or something is being done really right. Thankfully this is the latter. I havent been in a five guys in years, but they were doing some sort of BOGO promotion so my husband wanted to go. In general, this is the cleanest fast food chain I've ever been in. Honestly impressed and tons of seating and windows. This location in particular seems to have some standards and just some old retro diner vibes. Yes you can still get your peanuts and its not littered all over the floor. The staff were nice. Burger is your typical five guys style - i have nothing to complain about, just a matter of which chain you prefer. Imo a lot better than jack in the box and carls jr down the street. Hands down milkshake was delicious and good selection. Its a good ol milkshake. Idk what In N Out puts in their milkshake but it always makes my throat itchy. I've had five guys many times but don't come to this one... well hardly ever. The burger here fell quite flat for me sadly. I splurged on a bacon burger but there was not much bacon and the bun was quite soggy by the time I got it. Not sure if it steamed in the bag but I got it right after they called our number... the toppings were the same so the location is the only difference I can think of! Before I begin, I just have to say that I worked at a Five Guys back home YEARS ago (before they released the milkshakes), so all Five Guys hold a special place in my heart. There's something about hearing/yelling out "2 patties," smelling like peanut oil after a closing shift, and listening to classic rock that makes me feel at home. I love five guys fries. I think their cooking method, double fried in peanut oil, is the good standard for fries. I enjoy the soda selection and the burgers are surprisingly juicy for something cooked well-done, and the customization is off the charts, though you do pay for all that goodness. She repeated my order, but I didn't look at the receipt where *special instructions* didn't show up. The fries were not well done, and a bit floppy. Good news, when I pointed this out to them, they made me up another batch. Most of the drinks aren't available (see pics), and these are some heavy hitters: Diet Coke and Coke Zero. Coke only available on one machine. They did have a guy changing the cartridges, but he said they were out of them. Only one machine was dispensing ice. They don't have the peanuts out (most other five guys in the area do have the peanuts out), but when I asked for some, the lady behind the counter was able to get some, so, if you want peanuts, just check. We're fans of Five Guys and this location does a good job of getting our orders ready fast while making the fries fresh when we get there for our pick up order. We like the online ordering option with our saved login as it keeps track of our recent orders with all the customizations (grilled veggies, special condiments) and favorites so all we have to do is click reorder and in 7 minutes it's ready! We usually get the cajun fries and have downgraded to a regular from the large for the pair of us. The large feels like it's good for 3-4 adults is my guess. I had this thought that five guys was a super affordable place; I came to realize that a burger with fries and a drink was 19 bucks (as much as a meal from a super nice place not a fast food joint). I got a burger with mushrooms and grilled onions and it was mediocre at best. They have an outside area to sit but it only has 2 tables, so I ended up eating in my car. Every time I come to Five Guys (five muchachos is what I call them) I'm greeted with friendly people. After ordering and as I'm watching them make the food, I see they are using all the necessary protectives per the covid rules. A lot of people compare 5 guys to In and Out and I'm a huge In and Out fan. I decided to give this place another shot and the verdict is... I still like In and Out better. Sorry, Five Guys. The burgers were cooked well and it's cool that you pretty much get to put as much toppings as you want, but there was just something about it that felt like it was just a normal burger. It wasn't bad, but I wasn't impressed by anything. Actually, I was impressed by one thing - if you order the fries, they overflow your cup! We got a small cup of fries and it filled up almost half our paper bag! I do really like the fries as it was cooked well and whatever oil they cook it with tastes really good. I forgot my lunch at work so I was craving for burger and fries! This location was pretty big compared to others. The day I came, it wasn't busy at all. I ordered a cheeseburger with small fries. It took a while for them to prepare my order. It felt like 15 minutes. For a non busy day, it should had been sooner. I went to get ketchup, but they ran out. I asked the lady. Instead of adding more in the machine, she just added in the small plastic container. I thought that was odd or she just being lazy. My burger came out great, but the fries were overcooked. Ordering was fine. We ordered a milk shake and some burgers. The person calls our number and hands us a brown bag and a milkshake. We then get home, 25 minutes away. The milk shake was correct but they gave us the wrong order. Didn't even call the right number. I called over there and they said it was our fault that they handed us the wrong bag. We are still currently fighting for a refund. They were extremely rude and wouldn't take back the wrong order and refused to make us new patties. We had to drive back over there only for them to demand to wrong food back (which they said that they didn't want and isn't very COVID-19 safe). Easily the best burger, fries, and shake I've ever had; words can't describe how delicious the food is. Not to mention it's usually served up pretty fast and some of the staff are quite friendly. I break my diet to treat myself to a meal here after my monthly blood test (a few months I've even been guilty of visiting this place weekly) and I never get tired of it. Seriously, you gotta give this place a try, you won't regret it Side Note: They also serve one of the better hot dogs I've had, but you should really go for the burger. Don't fill up on the free peanuts either and if you get fries make sure to go with Cajun spice as it's well known to be the main factor that sets them so far above everybody else's fries). Located on the corner of El Camino Real and Rengstorff, this barn-like building used to be home to Country Gourmet. It is a great location with plenty of extra seating now along the Rengstorff side of the building. The burgers, dogs and fries are cooked-to-order. Most of the sides are free too. If you want a burger with bacon, cheese, grilled onions and A1 sauce, you let them know. If you prefer grilled jalepenos, cheese, lettuce, tomato and mayo, they'll get it to you. While you wait, you're encouraged to scoop your own peanuts. The restaurant is clean. The staff is nice. The food is good. My only issue is with the fries. I've never liked the fries at Five Guys. I prefer In-N-Out or even McDonald's fries. I really like the burgers though. read more

I love going to five guys especially for their french fries. Their burgers are fresh, but be sure to eat it ASAP otherwise the buns might get soggy during transport. I use to not love five guys but I had a change of heart and it's definitely one of the burgers I crave now. The quality of the meat at five guys is very good for a fast food burger joint and it's a bit juicy too! If you're eating for one person, I recommend getting a "little" size burger because you're going to want to get some cajun fries with it because they are ridiculously delicious. The regular size burger would limit the chances of you being able to finish your fries and that would be a sin to waste! Personally I always order this: little bacon cheeseburger mayo lettuce grilled onions grilled mushrooms grilled jalapenos (yes you can get this grilled although it doesn't say on menu) bbq sauce I pretty much try to make a western bacon cheeseburger and this creation does a pretty good job of it. I think when I started making this type of burger I started enjoying five guys way more because when you add everything to a hamburger here then it starts to get overwhelming and messy with too many ingredients which makes it a less enjoyable experience. Don't forget to get cajun fries! Went on a Friday night en route to an 8 PM show in Mnt View. Why the hell it should take almost 30 minutes for two hamburgers is beyond me. On top of that you have staff that are unable to get their complicated soda machines (x2) to work. So by the time we got our two burgers (order and toppings wrong !) and tried to eat them the soda machine was broken and we had no time to get anything corrected or fixed ! Poorly run establishment. Jose - I understand you are the manager of this unmanaged restaurant ?! Your staff barely had a pen that worked to give me your phone number !! I wanted to ask you for my $20 back in person but now I'll have to call you. I've eaten at easily 15 of these places across the USA and this was the worst experience I have had. Disorganized, no one clearly running the grill and many unhappy people hanging around trying to make a cup of peanuts dinner.
