The burgers and fries here are superb. I recommend the Cajun fries, which are seasoned deliciously. My only complaint is the price of a meal at Five Guys is rather expensive. However, the endless peanuts somewhat make up for the restaurant's priciness, as I always make sure to take 3 or 4 servings in order to feel better about the money I spend here as opposed to In-N-Out. Came in on a Sunday around noon. Friendly staff all around! Ordered the little burger and little fries. The burger was just ok (came with sautéed mushroom at the bottom, slices of pickles, lettuce, mustard and ketchup), better than the chain joints (including in-out) in my opinion. I ordered a bacon, cheeseburger single to go. lettuce, tomatos, pickles mustard, mayo and ketchup. 1st I got charged for a double burger, the cook caught it because she asked me single or double. Single !! I got refunded. When I got home I discovered they gave me a double burger with no mustard. Fine, I dug out the patty, but it was stuck to the other with cheese. It ended up being just a mess, it was also tasted bland and boring. I had been looking forward to this burger all afternoon, then to have a big food fail was just plain annoying and a pet peeve. I love this place. Reg sized burger (2 paties), lettuce, tom, onion, pickles, a-1, mustard, and ketchup with a mini cajun fry. Awesome juicy buttery flavored meat with the freshest of veggies and sauces, with an ultra soft bun. Can't go wrong. As well, this is one of very few rare laces you can get the elusive (and this is huge)... Grape flavored ginger ale.I know it sounds crazy but try it. Most insane flavor ever. Cherry is also really good in the ginger ale. The custom soda mixer machines are rad. Can't even handle a milk shake after all that. Plus the peanuts are even good. I saw someone mention the cleanliness and I would say they keep it a pretty tight ship. I mean if your serving free peanuts, people are going to drop shells on the floor. Its fun to make a mess. I know your gonna hate me. But I like it better than In n out, and I have been a die hard in n out fan since I was a kid. 5 guys changed that. Food is consistently pretty good Im not a huge burger fan but I always walk out of here satisfied and full. The employees are always friendly and the place is pretty clean. Sometimes parking can be a little bit of a hassle during lunch and dinner rushes. Id recommend this place over In N Out any day though. read more

I love Five Guys!!! I give this place a 5 star rating on their food but 4 star on the amount of time (more than 10 minutes). I always get the little cheeseburger protein style (no bun, just lettuce) with all the toppings--onion, jalapenos, green peppers, mushrooms, lettuce, tomato and hot sauce. I love that they have a little foil tin to put your burger in if you don't get it wrapped in a bun. It's just like a mini cheeseburger salad. Had lunch at Five Guy's restaurant in south Torrance. Not sure what the big deal is about this place . It's been packed with customers everyday since it opened a few weeks ago. I got a single patty burger fries and a large drink, cost $11.20. The burger taste like a burger patty and bun that you can get at the supermarket. No flavor. The fries are cut potatoes fried in peanut oil. They are good while hot but after a few minutes they get soggy. Even the coke was weak from the auto soda fountain. I think you get a better deal for your money and burger at Burger King or at In and Out. But 5 Guys is pack everyday when I drive by so people must like it. read more

My husband and I visited this location today and Deston helped us at counter. He was an absolute delight. He was very sincere and heartfelt in the way he spoke to us. We have been to many other Five Guys and not all of them are good. We usually have special request with our food and do not always receive our food the way we ordered it but Deston communicated with other workers from the start of our order to make sure our order was correct. Me and the ladies at work thought it would be a great idea to order out for lunch considering how close Five Guys is to the office it was a perfect opportunity to try them out. Upon arrival our order was ready which was great and much appreciated due to our time crunch. The staff seemed to be a bit overwhelmed but it was definitely understandable due to it being pretty busy. When back in the office we noticed we were missing 2 orders of fries and we somehow got lettuce wraps instead of regular burgers.I guess we should take the blame for being in a rush and not checking our order however it was still a disappointment. Excellent burgers and fries. Their regular cheeseburger actually has 2 patties.. and it's way to much for me to finish. I suggest going with the little cheeseburger and the little fries because as with the burger, the fries portion is pretty big as well. The fries are always super crispy and warm. The burgers are always delicious and they have so many toppings to choose from for no additional charge. The only bad part about five guys is the calories, average 800 calories a burger and if you go to in n out their cheeseburger is around 500. PS: They give free peanuts! read more

Excellent burgers and the absolute BEST fries around - love that they keep the skin on! Hot dogs are pretty good too. Great portion sizes and very generous with their toppings and free peanuts. (Only wish they offered a few more topping options like avocado, spinach and/or chili.) Staff is pretty friendly. Reliable hours are always appreciated - they never close early! Date of bad experience: 10/8/16 Time: around 2:30 pm Issue: Order was incorrect, rude treatment from management, and rude treatment from staff I am only giving two stars because the situation was rectified, however, it wasn't rectified to my family's satisfaction. I am very disappointed with this establishment and I wasn't going to give a review - but I HAVE TO. Quick overview of bad experience: My family went into this establishment and placed their orders. After receiving their orders, they found that they were incorrect. My mother went up to the cashier and asked to speak to the manager. The cashier went to the back to retrieve the manager. The manager came out with a complete and total attitude, as if she wanted nothing to do with my mother. My mother told the manager what happened, and she didn't care and was blatantly rude with her gestures. My mother then asked for the general manager's name, and the manager stated it was "Jesse." My mother asked for a last name and the manager REFUSED to give it to her. However, my mother did find out that Jesse would be in Monday (which is today, 10/10/16). Being that my mother was so upset, I called the restaurant to speak to the general manager, Jesse today (10/10/16). I did get to speak to Jesse and did find out his last name, which was Sanchez. Jesse was very respectful and kind to me over the phone. Jesse rectified the problem with offering my family a complimentary meal and a full refund. I was completely and sincerely grateful for this. Jesse also referred me to his District manager, Dominic, who was delightful as well. - Unfortunately this wouldn't be the end of the situation. So, I instructed my family (mother and aunt) to head over to Five Guys and get their refund and voucher for a complimentary meal. When they arrived to the restaurant, the general manager Jesse was present. Jesse instructed my mother and aunt to come near the register to speak with him. Jesse went on to tell my mother that, " I wasn't here to see what happened, so I will have to speak to my team to get their side of the story." - Heads up! This is NOT how you speak to a customer. You do NOT make the customer feel as if you don't believe them or that you, as a manager, are skeptical of what they are saying. My mother continued to express her discontent for the previous manager's and front line staff's behavior. As she was speaking to Jesse, a front line staff member was snickering and laughing at what my mother was saying. Jesse's response to this was, "We encourage our staff to have fun." - One more heads up! You do NOT ENCOURAGE your staff members to "HAVE FUN" at the customer expense. This is just common sense. Jesse gave my mother the refund, and told her that she could have a complimentary meal but it would be cooked today. My mother didn't want the meal today, as she has already eaten. There was no voucher given, which is fine because my family will NEVER be eating at this establishment again. What infuriates me the most about this incident is that I had the best service over the phone. However when my family went in, in person, they got treated badly by the same person who promised that this treatment never happen again. Hey, I get that this is just a fast food place, but I actually liked going here. The burgers are great and I absolutely love the Cajun fries. Finally made it to this iconic bastion burger goodness. As an experienced 5-guy customer, I know that the "small" burger is a single patty. This is located next to a huge Einstein's Bagel, and shares a smallish parking lot behind the ever-present Chase bank branch. I like "the Works" or "All the way" with all the standard lettuce, tomato, grilled onion, mayo. They add A-1 steak sauce and grilled mushrooms. I find their yellow mustard (also included in "the Works" is a bit sharp and overwhelming, so I ask for no mustard. They offer 3 sizes of fries, in regular and Cajun (hot, but salty). I order the large for 3 hunger eaters, and we left 1/2 of it behind. When you get your order, they always toss in an extra scoop of fries on top of your cup. For some reason, this location had outstanding peanuts, and we snacked on fistfuls while we waited for our order. This location has 2 coke super-dispensers ("Freestyle") that use the ink-jet technologies that offers over 100 flavor selections. Short or no lines for sodas! A nice trick is if you need to exit onto Hawthorne to the south, just cut through the business center's parking lot (past "Olvie Garden" and "Fridays") and exit and at a traffic light on Skypark Blvd. This is a nice addition to the wide selection of burger places within the area (Fatburger, The Habit, Louis Burger, Umami, the Counter, Good Stuff and the Standing room). read more

I go to 5 guys burgers expecting a big fat greasy burger, an ass load of fries, and soda pop and they always deliver. I get the small fries and they always fill the cup and throw a couple of more scoops of fries right into the bag. They never skimp out. One time, I got the veggie sandwich, it was okay. I think it had grilled peppers. So if you're vegetarian and your friends wanna hit this place up, just go along with it and get yourself the veggie sandwich. You can't go wrong ordering anything at Five Guys because you tell them what you want and how you want it! You can build your own burger or hotdog and they get it right every time. The service at this location is fast and friendly and they don't hesitate when you ask for extra of anything. This joint is definitely different from any other burger joint so I won't even try to compare it to any others. Worst burger and fries ever! I was in the area for a business meeting and was looking for a place for a quick lunch and found this place with "NOW OPEN" sign. Figure "Five Guys" has a good reputation...I decided to try it. The cashier was amazing - I barked out the order with all the toppings and she got them all right, in one swoop, truly impressive. Well, this is when all the bad experiences started: 1) it took a long time to get my order when there is a very short line for post-lunch hours 2) burger was not made with my requested toppings: bacon ($1 cost adder) was not included and not a drop of BBQ sauce on the whole thing, which I specified 3) grilled mushrooms looked like it came out of a can and still very dense and lack of flavor 4) meat was way overcooked and so dry that i had a hard time swallow my bite and there was absolutley no flavor whatsoever 5) fries were soggy and limpy, it reminded me the fries back in middle school cafeteria I saw a lot of signs in the place regarding how many awards they've won, i.e., best $5 burger, best fries, etc. Well, I dont know who they had to bribe to win those awards. It was an super expensive $10.44 burger/fry/drink and a total waste of a 900 calories. Wendy's and In and Out beats it any day of the week! We ate lunch here on Wednesday. Service is pretty quick, staff is friendly and the restaurant is in top shape considering the give way free peanuts with the shells. I love the modern coke cola machine that hold different flavors of soda to choose from. My vote in terms of choosing who has the best burger in the country and it's definitely FIVE GUYS. Sorry In N Out--I'd choose you if it was still 10 to 20 years ago. I don't know why there are people saying that it's $16 dollars for a burger--that ain't true unless you get a triple patty. And the all the prices are reasonable too because the burgers come with more than a pound of fries that is good for two people. If I come alone, my bill is about $12.50 NOT $16 or more and I usually order the double chesseburger with everything. The burgers are greasy here so don't come here if you are on a diet or trying to lose weight--in fact don't eat any hamburger even IN N Out if you are dieting or trying to lose weight. Fries here are bomb too!!! That beautiful and delish Cajun seasoning the wonderful crispiness because of their frying in peanut oil--it's simply BOMB!!!!!
