We were seated very quickly. I showed the server the "dragon roll" that they had posted. The server said it didn't always look like that and told me to check with their sushi chef. I walk to the chef and he said "yes. I can do it" ... and so it was ordered. I was very very please that they could remake this roll even though the original sushi chef was not in that day Show the chef this photo and ask for the Dragon Roll to come looking like this.

Rolled back into Homestead for a few days. 5 Spice is the spot if you're looking for some Vietnamese food. Thanks to Jimmy and his staff. It's always fantastic . When you show up and say Jimmy. Make us something good. This is what you eat.

We got the Pink Dragon roll and the Five Spice roll and both agreed that this was the best sushi we've ever had! Food was amazing. Server was kind and efficient. I'd give 10 stars if I could.

These people never disappoint. Today I had their pink dragon roll and an order of kanisu. So delicious. Cucumber on kanisu was fresh. And as always, great customer service!

Amazing flavor for everything! Never thought a Vietnamese hoagie would taste like this. All the ingredients were fresh and crisp. The combination of flavors on the hoagie is out of site. A must try for real! The house fried rice was super delicious and not greasy although they could have gave me more than 2 damn shrimp. The crispy wings were exactly what the menu said and they definitely understood the assignment. I really liked this place

Today we had the Vietnamese iced coffee- sweet but very good! To eat: -Fresh spring rolls- greens and shrimp wrapped in rice paper with a peanut dipping sauce! Great -Combo vermacelli bun- cold noodles with warm shrimp and toppings... good portion and good flavor! -Pork banh mi- soft, toasted fresh roll with delicious vietnamese-style meats (ham and pork). Great flavor. Another great meal at five spice! Wait time was just a little longer than normal

I'm only giving it 4 stars because it wasn't aesthetically pleasing at all but the food was really good. The PHO was tasty as ever. Their chili oil heighten the taste! I also had the edamame and shrimp fried rice. The Boba smoothie was delicious too! And if you like Sake, they have so many different flavors.

Review based on sushi menu only. I had sushi here before and it was OK, but the last time we went the experience just wasn't that great. The tuna did not taste good and the sushi rice was not good either. The green tea was probably the highlight of my visit. Food takes forever even when the place is not packed, so go there with plenty of time. Pho looks promising, that might be the reason for the many good reviews

Well, I hear the best pho is here, so after a long day in the Everglades on a cold December night sounds just lovely! It's a busy night, most tables are full and unfortunately looked understaffed. Fortunately, we had good service! Promptly served water and seated at a clean table. Good thing I came ready to wait, ordered the crispy egg rolls, hamachi, pho and the Vietnamese coffee. - two tiny egg rolls for 5.99$ seems really really steep. Very generic, although tasty, I would skip it next time. -The hand hamachi roll was simple, fresh ingredients. - the Vietnamese coffee was extremely sugary. I would avoid this next time. The pho was fresh, ingredients tasted all very fresh! The broth was pretty solid. Being from the San Gabriel Valley, I have to remember pho isn't created equal and that i'm in homestead, not California, the pho capital. In conclusion, service was good and ingredients were fresh, but do not expect Michelin star pho.

RESTAURANT: This location has been here for several decades…read more I have not been back for quite some time, maybe over ten years. It's nice to see that not much has changed. The aesthetic inside is still very true to the Japanese culture with small Japanese status and art work on display. There is a small sushi bar at the back corner and seating are available for small group parties. I am not a fan of carpet flooring. Located next to US1 and there are plenty of parking within the shopping center. SERVICE: The owners had been the same for many years and had always been very polite, as what you would expect with the Japanese culture. We came at very slow evening and we had the place to ourselves. My son was dissappointed to find out that the bento box was only available during lunch, but the server/greeter/owner lady told us that she can make it happen for him and that just made his day. She answered all of our questions and always had a smile on her face. She was very attentive as she was serving other customers as well as it got busy. FOOD: This visit, we had the shrimp tempura entree and the red scorpio roll and a chicken katsu bento box for my son. Each entree includes a soup/salad of your choice. The food tasted just as I remember from many years back. And I am just going to say it, they have the best tempura in Homestead. The portion size is good, very authentic and delicious. The red scorpio have my favorite tempura softshell crab. It's lighter compare to the other rolls with the fresh vegetable inside minus the heavy sauces on top and it look so vibrant with the colorful masago on top. The bento box for my son included a soup as well, with a couple California rolls, tempura veggies and the chicken katsu strips. The katsu was crispy on the outside and juicy inside. Overall, this was a nice walk down the memory lane back to when I used to work across the street, we had a lovely dinner. I still believe that they are the best Japanese/sushi restaurant in Homestead. Very authentic from the service to the meal. Fairly priced and so convenient with the late hours. Can't wait to our next visit.

I took my family to eat here last night because we love Thai food and our waitress was amazing. Definitely mom and pop vibes. My husband was holding my 5 yr old son, who fell asleep, and she moved a few of the pads that ppl sit on to allow him to sleep. It gave my sweet grandmother vibes, and I loved it. She was very attentive, and I tell you I would definitely go back. Our food was good, and my daughter, who is picky, said she loved her white rice and fried egg on top. She told us that no matter what it says on the menu, tell her what we would like to change, and she can make it.

We ordered lunch specials (the steak teriyaki with fried rice and veggie tempura, and the bento box with sushi and chicken teriyaki) For an app, we had kani su. The kani su was good and had a nice presentation, i had to add wasabi on top for more flavor. The bento box only comes with a small piece of teriyaki chicken. I liekd the sashimi (the fish was buttery and good quality) but was not a fan of the sushi roll. The beef teryaki is okay but a little tough. Might have to come back and try their Thai.
