Many reviews on here have a common theme. Here's my contribution. Summary: It took me FOUR visits over 2+ months and a written threat of a lawsuit to get this tailor to return my clothing to me. Here's how it happened: I'd called in advance to see if he could finish tailoring work by a particular date - because I was going on a 3-week trip and I wanted to bring the clothes with me on the trip. He said "yes". I dropped off my clothes the next day and pre-paid for my tailoring order. But when I picked up the order two days later, which was the day before my trip, one item wasn't ready. So I went on my trip without that item. When I went back to the tailor's shop a SECOND time, 1+ month later, during the very opening hours that he texted me and are on his storefront, he wasn't there and his store was closed. (He doesn't have normal business hours. So the fact that he wasn't there during one of his 10 opening hours/week is rather noteworthy.) Another customer was waiting along with me at the locked front door. When I called the tailor to ask why he wasn't open during his opening hours, he seemed surprised by my frustration that I'd shown up to pick up my clothes, a second time, during his posted opening hours, and yet his store was closed. Remarkably, he also had the nerve to tell me, in response to my frustration, that I need to find a woman. His outrageous, unprofessional, demeaning reaction to my frustration perfectly captures how he views customers: as a doormat to be walked on. So I then had to go back yet a THIRD time - to pick up the item that was supposed to be ready 2 months earlier. That's when he claimed, incredibly, that he'd given me the missing item 2 months ago. I was 100% certain that he hadn't. So the next day I sent him a demand letter and threatened to sue him. (The shorts cost $280.) That prompted him to, all of a sudden, find my shorts. So then I went back to his store a FOURTH time - to pick up the very shorts that he said would be done within two days, and that were supposed to be ready 2+ months prior, and that he'd claimed I'd already picked up. Here's the icing on the cake: while he did, indeed, have my shorts, HE NEVER ACTUALLY TAILORED THEM - THOUGH HE HAD THEM FOR 2+ MONTHS. In sum, he treated me, a regular customer for years, like a doormat. The ironies are that (A) when I picked up my shorts, he shouted "And don't come back!" -- as if!, and (B) he had the gall to be angry with me and he never once apologized for (i) not being open during opening hours, (ii) claiming I picked up my shorts when he actually had them, (iii) never tailoring my shorts, even though he had them for 2 months, and (iv) requiring me to go to his store four times to pick up my shorts. Perhaps he is, indeed, a "five star" tailor - but only on a scale of 1-to-100 stars. read more

Sergio told me and my kids to F- off several times and then gave us our merchandise unfinished. He is unhinged and racist. And he also gave himself a tip without our authorization. Fraudulent charges. Do not go here for any service. I'm calling the police for the way we were treated. Full story: I called and left a message to see if I could pick up my curtains one day early since I needed them for my kids to sleep in their rooms. I then called several times afterwards and the phone went directly to VM. I stopped by around 2pm on a Saturday and he said he hadn't started the job and I asked if I could bring the pieces back another day. He refused to give me my curtains back but told me he would finish it by 4pm and for me to come back then. At this time he said "you people" make everything difficult. I asked him if he could elaborate and then he said he was very busy and didn't have time to talk to me. I came back at 4 with my husband, 5 year old and 3 year old. He gave us the curtains but he hadn't put a single stitch in place and all he had done was slash the bottoms- cut the curtains to say he has done something to my pieces so he could charge me $35 x 5. He could have given me the curtains back in their original condition but instead purposely damaged them. He then held another two pieces he hadn't had time to cut so he could do the same to them. He had not even cut the pieces to the proper length. He just vandalized them so he could charge me for it. A totally unethical move. When I demanded to get my other pieces back he said he would not return them and he was going to charge me the full price. He also told my husband he had added a tip for himself of 15%. When I asked for a refund he told us to get the f_ck out and when we demanded he not curse in front of our young children he said he would do whatever the f_ck he wanted and he continued to yell expletives at us until I started filming him. I have audio of him screaming at us and cursing in front of a 3 and 5 year old. Whatever you do - do not go near this place. This guy is deeply troubled and will damage your clothes on purpose so he can charge you more to fix them. See photos below of him flipping us off and cursing our young children. read more

hi everyone I'm not sure if anyone would see this but just wanted to share that this great Tailor here in venice is making masks for $10.00 we just got ours and they are great. they are detailed and professionally stitched and have 4 layers of protection and the best part is that they are washable and reusable. if you are looking to buy great quality masks think of him first. just found out that he is also Donating to the healthcare community wow.. that's amazing. hint: he is closed for business but he is taking phone orders.. highly recommended. I have been going here for years now. My dry cleaning always come back fresh and on time. When I've needed some sleeves and pant legs shortened, everything came out an exact fit. A couple times I've been in a bind and needed some last minute buttons and rips fixed up, and they have been able to get them done right away.
