Took my car in on a Monday for an estimate, brought it back in on Tuesday, and they were done with the repairs by Friday afternoon!!! They had to replace my front bumper, fender, headlight, and liner, and it was done within a week. My Honda Civic 2016 was hit while parked. The bumper, fender, and highlight was damaged. I took my car to Alameda Collision Center on Thursday after seeing it on my insurance's guarantee list and yelping the place to see the great reviews. When I got there, Russ was a great help. He took a good look at the damages, took some pictures, talked to me about the next steps, and told me the estimate price along with how long it will take. He told me to come back on Monday to drop the car off. I told him I start work in about 1.5 weeks and would like it to be finished before then if possible so I left my car there and told him to work on it if there is time. Since I drove from Union City to Castro Valley (30 minutes drive), I asked for a ride to the bart to take public transportation back home (this auto center has a car that drop you off at Bart!). Instead, they gave me a 30 minutes ride back home since I didn't have anyone to pick me up from the station. Awesome customer service! Over the next few days, Russ gave me updates on my car, ordering parts, and info on my insurance. In one week, my car was return to me in brand new conditions. In addition, Russ provided me with souvenirs and a folder with all the information in it; for future use if needed. Alameda Collision Center completely blew my mind for their service and repairs. Excellent craftsmanship, and the best are the people woking there. They do go above and beyond their call of duty. First, a year ago they repaired one of my vehicles which the insurance called "totaled" after a minor fender-bender just due to the enormous cost of the original parts. Went in to get an estimate on some scratches on my car as it has been used as a BART car for the past few years. Spoke with Leo and told him what I was looking for. He went out to take a look at my car and saw all the nicks and scratches I was talking about. He told me to wait a few minutes and he went back into the shop. I thought he was going to write up a quote, but after about 5 minutes he came out with a bottle and some rags. He said most of them were not very deep, so with a little rubbing, they could be taken right off. He went around the car and for each scratch, he was able to clean it up. How many shops would do that???? He did note that there were a couple of areas that were pretty deep, so he wouldn't be able to clean it up, but it he did give me a quote and let me know what would be involved. He was very detailed about it and let me know of my options if I wanted to try to bring the cost down. He showed me the shop's work and told me how long it would take to repair the scratches. Amazing service!!! As soon as I walked inside I was attended to right away. Despite there being so many cars outside, they helped me right away and was actually able to get my request done within minutes (lightbulb change in headlight). Prior to this I had bought the lightbulb at Auto Zone where they said it would take too long to change. I then went to Boulevard Auto down the street and after looking under my hood said it would require a lot of work and cost around $50. They also told me to come back in an hour. Fix Auto did it for FREE because it only took them literally 2 minutes to change. My car was hit while parked and my insurance recommended this place. Scheduling appointments with them is very simple and they are very good about explaining all costs so do not worry about them overcharging (they show all costs of parts and labor on the screen in front of you). The day that I took it, my car's front passenger door would not fully open due to the dent, and for no charge they adjusted the front fender to prevent further damage and allow me to fully open my door until my appointment. When I finally picked my car up on Friday around 5:25, immediately after driving it a check engine light came on (which is very common when work is done on a car). Of course, this was very annoying for me and since they were about to close I figured they would turn me down and tell me to come back but they actually took their time to check what the issue was! I ended up being told that my car was safe to drive and then to come back Monday if any lights came back on. Came back on Monday and the guy took his time to fix the light, even took it out for a test drive and he came back with a washed car lol! I managed to bump my tail light in a parking structure, shattering part of the plastic cover and killing the left turn bulb. After reading the review here, I chose to go to Fix Auto and I am not sorry! Leo is an absolutely wonderful man who gave me a very reasonable estimate and ordered the needed parts and told me he would call when they got in. When I came back he said it would take no longer than 20 minutes and I waited there, having a lovely cup of tea. No more than 15 minutes later my car was ready to go. Alameda Collision in Castro Valley is on the Boulevard on the corner of CV boulevard and San Miguel Street. Such a convenient location as there aren't many good body shops in that immediate area. I was referred to the shop through a friend and was so happy that I ended up getting the work done there. Arthur (junior) and Martin really made the process as painless as possible. Arthur walked me through all of the insurance processes step by step and kept me in the loop the entire time. I was originally told it would be a 5-6 day repair but they got it back to me on the end of the third day, which was a welcome surprise to say the least since I was missing out on my carpool lane access stickers while it was in! Martin even stayed late that evening while I fought south bay traffic so that I could pick up my car well after (1 hour +) closing hours. These are truly stand up guys who always put the customer first. My car looks brand new again and I couldn't be happier with the quality of the work! By far the best experience I have EVER had dealing with my repairs to my vehicle. My Camaro was hit by a "flying cone" on the freeway and it gave me a pretty descent size dent in my lower right front bumper. I submitted my claim to my insurance and I was provided with a list of body shops. I have worked with Caliber Collision in the past and I had absolutely no interest in going back to them so I was hoping I would run across a shop that had excellent reviews. I ran across Fix Auto, and I am so glad I chose them. Their yelp reviews won me over and it was a plus they were local Castro Valley which was convenient for me. From the moment I arrived at the shop, they immediately greeted me with smiles. My service advisor was Leonard Popa, he was great. Easy to talk too, friendly and knew what he was doing. The estimate process took about 10-15 minutes. I then made arrangements to drop my car off another day and they estimated 3 business days they would need my car. They were 100% solid on the estimated time it would be ready for pickup. I was beyond pleased with the outcome of my vehicle. They not only fixed the dent but also did some touch ups to my whole bumper that were not related to my incident. My car felt completely brand new. Not to mention I don't think I ever had a Car Wash so well detailed before in my whole Camaro life. Not even the fancy car washes had washed my car this good. Due to some unfortunately events I've had to go to Alameda Collision Center twice (formerly JimNic) and each time I've been blown away by the customer service. They treat their customers like family and do what they can to work for you not for your insurance company. Both times that I went here, I took my bad situation and tried to make the best of it by picking some of my own car parts. I asked if I could order my own OEM headlights and taillights from a different model year that was compatible with my vehicle as well as aftermarket mudflaps and they were 100% accommodating. I also requested that they try to find used OEM parts as opposed to the aftermarket parts that the insurance company quoted. This is a personal preference because when it comes to certain large parts like bumpers, I always get better piece of mind knowing it's a genuine car part. This isn't something I can say for all body shops. I tried making the same request at a competing local shop and was flat out denied. They didn't want to do the math to make OEM parts work (even though it's often similar in price or even cheaper in certain cases) and didn't want me to get some of my own car parts. As you can tell, I care a lot about my car and the guys at Alameda Collision absolutely love cars. I may not be a true gearhead but at any given time, you'll see classic cars at their shop and if those guys can trust Alameda Collision with their cars, then I know I'm in great hands. Special shout out to Martin who is one of the head shop and paint guys. Not only does he have an awesome Ray Ban Aviators collection but he blew me away with his knowledge of color. We tried attaching some aftermarket trim to our hot rod and weren't having any luck doing it ourselves. I brought it to Russ and he was great about reassuring they would take care of it and no issues about it being a small job. They did a great job and were careful working on our "baby". We also needed a repair job to another vehicle which had gotten a monster dent in a parking lot. Russ did the estimate and found it was better to get the job done directly rather than add a claim to our insurance with the deductible. They did a fantastic job with the dent repair and matched the metallic paint so perfectly that they didn't even have to blend with adjoining body panels.
