Great chicken tacos and burritos. Large portions.

I can appreciate their attempt at authentic mexican food. I tried their fish, pork, and chicken tacos, all were severely disappointing. I also went during their $1 taco day and had to wait about 10 minutes to order, and another 20 minutes to get my food. Tacos are supposed to be fast food. The tacos were very poor tasting, the fish tacos were fishy, the green salsa was far too smokey, and the pork tacos had no seasoning. I will never go back and have a very hard time understanding why people like this place. I'll stick to the taquerias on Clark st. or Paco's Taco's down south. read more

Met up with a long-lost friend here the other night, I had no idea the place existed! Food was amazing! It's not "authentic" tasting, but it's a lot closer than the Qdoba and Chipotle nearby. We sat in the nice atmosphere for three hours and sipped $3 sangria. Highly recommended! read more

This is one of my favorite spots for Mexican food in the neighborhood. I go there often and the food is always great!

5 stars for margaritas, cheap, delicious and outdoor seating. It's usually pretty packed at lunch time, but I have never had to wait too long for a table to open up. Or you can get food to go and it's pretty fast (but you can't get a margarita to go...I've asked, ha). The flavor margaritas are good and only $4 on Mondays. read more

Absolutely disgusting! Why does steak taste like goat meat?? Ate there once before and had chicken. Not great but thought i would give another shot with steak...I am vomiting a little in my mouth as I type this. Are they trapping their meat in lower wacker? It's rare that a places food makes you need to brush your teeth immediately after taking a bite. I wish 0 starts was an option. read more

This place is as yelp says "A-OK." The food was not great, but it was ok. We got several items on the menu including: Mahi-Mahi taco, beef quesadilla, and burrito. The Mahi-Mahi was okay. The quesadilla was mostly cheese and there was barely any beef in there. The burrito was not bad. read more

Not the best Mexican I've ever had, but pretty tasty and a good deal. The chicken tacos & al pastor tacos were nice size portions for the price and their tortillas are very fresh. The guacamole & chips side is a hefty portion but delicious -- they clearly make both fresh on-site. The service, however, definitely leaves something to be desired. The girl at the register who also ran plates to tables was far more concerned with horsing around with her coworker than servicing any customers. Getting our order in correctly was a challenge because she was so distracted. Luckily the prep crew seems to be on top of their game to compensate for front of the house. read more

Not the greatest Mexican food ever or anything, but taken at face value this place is worth going to. Decently priced, good portions, and they have really great drink specials. Service was good, everybody was fast and polite. If you're in the area, give it a shot. read more

Just went to the Edgewater location. Line was out the door when we got there. (5 minutes after they opened) Margaritas are a bargain! Had a Quesadilla, steak taco and a chicken tamale. Few mistakes but it's the first day! We had a great time talking with people on there out door seating. You don't even notice the trains going by. read more

Pretty good!! We ordered delivery to Clark Street Ale House and were impressed with how fresh and tasty everything was. The chips are clearly homemade - crispy and salty; just perfect. Guacamole was impressive. And I'm always on a mission to find good fish tacos, so was pleased that these didn't disappoint. (And only $2.50 each!) I'll definitely hit Flaco's Tacos up for my taco fix in the future. read more

For some reason I occasionally go here even though I know better. Though the best of times are incredibly tasty, this store and its inconsistency dooms it to a failing score. It's sister store in the south loop is slightly better, but they both share the same failings. If you catch the shop on a good day then you'll have a wonderful meal, but if you catch it on one of its many bad days then you will be sorely disappointed. If you do find yourself there and have to get something, then get the "Nachos nachos nachos!" Besides being fun to say they're actually quite good even on their bad days. Just do not get their tacos. Terrible. Anyone who knows good Mexican food will avoid this place. Had two tacos, that were chicken with cilantro and onion. How the hell do you mess up something so easy? For starters, the chicken is perhaps the driest I have ever had. Then the chicken has ZERO flavor. I had to drench my tacos in the green sauce which I thought would help. Was totally wrong. The sauce had no flavor as well! I only gave it one star because you have to and another star because actually their horchata is pretty good. read more

Pretty delicious tacos. I had two chicken (pollo) tacos and a Jarritos (I LOVE Jarritos!!). I love that they serve the tacos in corn tortillas and they are no frills. Chicken, Oaxaca cheese, cliantro and onions. Super simple, super delicious. They have two salsas on the tables for use, I prefer the salsa verde. read more

We stopped there twice during our visit to Chicago. The tacos are yummy. Most importantly the drinks were delicious. Monday night was reduced price Margaritas (good---flavored ones need to be stirred well). Tuesday night was reduced priced Sangria (delicious). read more

So surprised by the reviews lately - after one year living only two blocks away, my BF and I are horribly upset we didn't know about this place sooner... moving this coming week. I thought the people were nice, and wouldnt expect a restaurant service sort of thing here. Food is great, especially if you consider the location+price+quality. It just isn't found in the tourist area of Chicago usually. It is very well done and fresh. We are leaving now, as a matter of fact, for the mini burritos that kept us coming back in the first place. Nice little joint with hipsterish atmosphere, nice music, and ok food. Don't order deliveries though, the delivery girl will pick up the leather boots on her way out of the building, and not your boots, she isn't stupid, but your neighbors boots. Forget about customer service as well, you know that suddenly there is no manager, no general manager, and nobody responsible. read more

Had the guacamole and 2 tacos. The guac was delicious, but the tacos were plain and the taste of cilantro was over bearing. The tacos were missing something like salt & pepper or a salsa. The tacos I had were the original tacos. read more

Stopped by for the first time. The service was a little slow even though we ordered to go. We got the 3 tacos and rice/beans combo. The veggie and vegan ones were incredible. The beef and chicken one he had were really good, according to him. Got the chips and guacamole which was also good. The girl that checked us out seemed new as she was a little lost, but she was super nice. The guy that handed us the food actually made it a point to make eye contact when he thanked us and wished us a good day, he was wearing a rosary around his neck and has darker complexion (sorry wish I knew your name to tell Yelp and your boss how good your customer service skills are!!) read more
