UNFORTUNATELY... We had arranged our entire day's schedule around a 3:30 PM appointment, including an hour drive to reach the dealership and dinner reservations afterwards. We were telephoned at 10:45 and told that "unfortunately" they had mis-scheduled the appointment with the wrong advisor, that "unfortunately" the online appointment scheduler was "funky", and that "unfortunately" our appointment had been canceled. [They use this word a lot.] We were welcome to appear via the drop-in lanes, but "unfortunately" this could take hours and they had no way of knowing whether we'd make our dinner reservation. I asked if I could come earlier than 3:30, and they said "unfortunately" they had no idea. I asked if there was any way they could make this right, and they told me "unfortunately" not. When one makes a reservation, it should be honored. If the business messes up the reservation, they should make it right. Unfortunately they did not, and unfortunately I am warning others considering a service appointment at this dealership. read more

Next day battery dead because something was running or draining the battery Had to buy a battery charger and cables to start my outback Drove to calif and took to another dealer to find out the recall was done improperly and found other damaged parts. They had to replace the battery and redo the recall again. Called flagstaff Dealer to tell them and no response. Sent in survey and went online with no response from anybody. That was our experience. While on vacation multiple engine warning lights came on in our Forester the day before we were to return to Phoenix. Not wanting to drive through the desert with a car that might break down we went to Flagstaff Subaru fearing the worst. Shea was extremely helpful in getting us setup for an appointment that day and Dustin took excellent care of us once we arrived. They explained the work that needed to be done and gave us the option of performing the service then or simply doing what it took to get us back home to our normal service center. We chose the latter and they got us back on the road at no charge when we expected to pay at least $100-$200. These folks are honest and trustworthy and we highly recommend them. If you're broke down in Flagstaff just go to Flagstaff Subaru and you'll be taken care of. read more

On a recent roadtrip to the Grand Canyon from LA, we experienced a mysterious slow tire leak that required topping off every 20 miles. We had two tire shops take a look at the offending tire to no avail, but Brian and his team at Flagstaff Subaru correctly identified the offending part-a tiny slit in the valve stem. He courteously and quickly walked us through repair steps and gave us a fair and quick resolution. I will definitely visit this dealer again in the future. Purchase a new Nissan in 2015 at Lamb Nissan in Prescott, During the summer storms of 2017 a wiper went out on the car, so my wife and I were in Flagstaff and scheduled a repair under warranty at Flagstaff Nissan. After 4 hours Flagstaff Nissan said they think it was the computer and would need the car overnight. They informed us that there was a 115.00 fee to look at the car and 25.00 a day rental fee for a car to use, Since we were over 50 miles from home we rented the car. When we got home, I received a call and was told by service the vehicle was not covered under warranty and the repair would be an additional 800.00. I advised them the vehicle was covered under warranty and we would pick up our car the next day. After picking up the car and paying 140.00, I took the car to Lamb Nissan who advised us the BCM computer was out I was also informed it was UNDER WARRANTY! We were given a loaner car for three days and the vehicle was repaired at no cost to us. I contacted Flagstaff Nissan for a refund and was told they would not refund the charges. First and Last time I go or used Flagstaff Nissan! Buy a Nissan at another location!!! read more

What a wonderful experience! I was there to have routine maintenance done. They welcomed me within minutes. Everyone was wearing masks and observing social distancing. The work was completed in less than an hour. What a breath of fresh air. I say that because I purchased my Crosstrex at another dealership a year ago. When I went there in late spring to have my first routine maintenance done, no one was wearing masks. Been buying used vehicles for over 20 years. This is the first dealership who refuses to help with missing items. During the purchase I let them know the front passenger side was missing the "all weather" floor mat. They said they would take care of it. 7 weeks later they don't even know what I'm talking about. Then the kicker, getting a flat tire out in the boonies. Well guess what, no tire iron and no Jack. Paid a hefty bill to get the spare replaced. Asked a question about this missing items and was told the vehicle was sold as is. I have never had to verify to tire iron and Jack were in a vehicle, they just were. So I got screwed out of that as well. Do not shop here. Go to Phoenix or any other dealership than this one. Horrible. read more

It ended up being a waste of time and he had the nerve to try and guilt trip me because he worked so hard to do what he did. Terrible. Their sales staff is slipping. My son bought a used car from Nissan Subaru less than a month ago. He barely drove it there in Flagstaff (less than 100 miles) and on his move to Phoenix, the car's transmission went out, so he got stuck in Anthem. Because the warranty was for '15 days or 500 miles -- whichever came first', the dealership is only offering to replace the transmission (which was obviously bad to begin with) with a used one for $3800 -- and we'd have to get the car all the way to Flagstaff! I would NEVER buy a used car from Nissan Subaru again! They are knowingly selling vehicles that are defective, so now my son is out $4700 and has no car to get to his job unless he wants to double what he's already paid. I'm disgusted. read more

I purchased a used Dodge Grand Caravan from the Subaru side. I was well taken care of by both of our salespeople, Susan and James. There were a few things that were not working properly on our van that they agreed to fix. I arrived at the Nissan service department to have those things fixed. Corey is my service writer and he took great care of me and my vehicle. They had ordered the wrong part so I had to return a few days later. To make up for the inconvenience, they threw in a free oil change. My wife had her car serviced for a recall. Her car was randomly shutting off on the road while driving. We called this dealership and they told us they don't have the part and it would be 6-8 weeks to get it in. After hanging up the phone we called back to make sure they understood the car was actually shutting off while driving and we wanted a loaner car that was safe to drive. All of the sudden they had parts in stock and could get it serviced the next day. Great! Since we had to drive an hour and a half to get there we decided to get all of her service done. It turns out she needed an alignment as well so we had that done. $500 the next day and we were good to go and the car had everything fixed. Cut to less than 5000 miles later we notice a flat tire. Took the car to discount to realize how fucked up all the tires were. The front right tire was shredded on the inside, front left was beginning to bulge on the inside, and the inside of the back 2 tires were completely bald. Discount tire said they didn't think they could legally let us leave the lot. They replaced the tires and told us to go to another mechanic to get the alignment checked again. We took it to the mechanic the next day and the camber was way off on the front right tire. $1,004.64 later for new tires, camber adjustment and new tire sensor. We called to Subaru know and we're told by Rachel in Service that it was unacceptable and shouldn't have happened. We thought about it for a while and wanted to call back to make sure that we aren't the only car that they messed up on. 2 calls were sent to voicemail. We left a voicemail asking for a call back and never received one. We were lucky we didn't blow a tire on 17 and cause an accident. They take no responsibility here. So long story short my buddy and I are driving from Pa to Los Angeles. Last night after driving non stop we ran into some car troubles so we stopped for a night at a hotel. The next morning we drove two more hours to the closest dealership which was here. This dealership had us by the balls and could of charged us so much despite not needing to which you hear about a lot with mechanics. The service department fixed an issue in February in our 2012 Subaru Outback. The car would not turn on after fueling. They replaced the charcoal canister. 4 months later same problem. No code and they can't recreate it. I have brought it in several times. They say nothing is wrong. We told them a quick search on Subaru forums and this is a common problem with the purge valve. If there is not a code they won't trouble shoot or fix it. Done spending my money here. read more

Sleezy , lying scumbags. I had found a used Subaru Legacy ad on cars.com and reached out right away. The salesperson told me they just got the vehicle in and that it was in the body shop getting paint job fixed up and should be ready the next week. I stayed in touch with that salesperson and another, letting them know I will be coming up from Phoenix to see the vehicle because I was very interested and ready to buy. When the day came for the vehicle to be ready, I picked up my Dad and we started our 2 hour drive to Flagstaff, ready to buy this car. Again, they know I'm coming all the way from Phoenix (this is key). While driving up, I had made phone calls with my bank (who has a partnership with this dealership) to go over numbers and all that. I got a call back later from the bank letting me know that the dealership's price (which is falsely advertised as "fair") was marked up 40% above maket value. 40%!!!! I call my saleperson to let him know that the price will have to be reevaluated with this new knowledge and that we would be there shortly to discuss it. We get there, test drive the vehicle, everything seems great. Now time to talk numbers. We go back and forth a few times and are finally making good progress when he comes back with a note on the price sheet saying that the car is sold as is, and that I would be responsible for passing emissions test down in Phoenix. I thought that was odd, so I pressed a bit on the saleperson about it. He seemed very unconfident in his answers, so I said if I take this to Phoenix and if it fails the test I would come back and return the vehicle within their 7 day return policy. As soon as I said that, the greased haired, scumbag sales manager calls the salesperson over to talk about something. He comes back telling me that they wont sell the vehicle to me because the vehicle wont pass emissions. WHAT?!? So I just drove 2 hours from Phoenix to test drive a vehicle that you cant even SELL me?!? That OR you were knowingly going to sell me a vehicle with mechanical issues until I called you out on it. Or maybe they were just straight up LYING to me because they didnt want to sell the vehicle at a fair price. I called them out on it and said I dont buy that BS story I was just told and we left. Wasted 4+ hours of my day, left work early and used up a full tank of gas to get there and back. Thanks for that. I am beyond disgusted with this dealership read more

A very disappointing and frustrating experience with the service department for over 2 years! Ever since I bought a brand-new Forester two years ago, I've had issues with the front driver's side tire. The tire pressure has been going down from 37/38(!) to 30 EVERY TWO MONTHS or so, season/temperature/miles driven notwithstanding. I have repeatedly pointed out the problem to the service department, and every time they would come up with some "explanation" -- a puncture (nail), a puncture (bolt), frayed side of the tire... Had it replaced with a brand new tire ($180). No matter what they said or did to the tire, the problem would come back: two months or so later the low tire pressure sign would come back on. The car is in the shop as I type, and guess what excuse they came up with this time -- that we don't pump the tire up enough! (see above -- always pump it up to 37/38) LOL and LOL. Ridiculous! What is it -- a corporate conspiracy not recognizing a more serious issue, in order to avoid a recall? Or a plain incompetency? In any event, a very bad experience. Will definitely avoid their service in the future. read more

I had a number of minor issues with my 2008 Versa that I'd let stack up. I finally went into this dealership's service department for an oil change, because I had a coupon, and rattled off my list of small repairs. Brian said they would take care of everything and got me on the next shuttle to work. I had to call him later in the day to find out how much everything was going to cost (me calling them was the only reason I didn't give 5 stars). Brian said everything had been fixed, and because the issues were minor, he didn't charge me for most of them. He saved me well over $200 in labor costs, I'm sure! Best experience purchasing a new car, EVER!! My old truck was really causing me heartache with all the repairs and breakdowns. My husband owns a Nissan and I had a few experiences taking his car in for standard oil change. The customer service was awesome, so much better than the GMC dealer I was taking my truck to. Anyway, last year I was in the market for a new vehicle but really didnt plan on purchasing anything till later in the year. Got a call by Rachel doing some preliminary sales questions and told her what I was looking for. Was not intending to get my car serviced during a road trip but for some reason my Subaru started burning oil between San Diego and Flagstaff. So my husband and I had to make an emergency pit stop at the closest Subaru we could find. We were so enamored with the service, we are really sad we will probably have no reason to come back. We even asked our service representative, Karen to transfer to San Diego. They have a large service bay that was not busy at all on a Saturday. The turn around for our oil change, car wash, and filter replacements was just under an hour. (We are accustomed to over 2 hours in San Diego without the car wash). The service lounge was well stocked with swag and pretty comfortable. Wish we had this same experience in San Diego. read more

My car is due for 30k mile service which is more than just an oil change and requires transmission service and brake fluid flush among other services. I asked for a quote on pricing and the quote was roughly $750. I thought that sounded high and called the Subaru dealer in Prescott for comparison. Findlay Subaru in Prescott quoted me $515 for the Subaru factory recommended 30k service, a difference of $235. I think I'll drive to Prescott for that savings. read more

I was passing though Flagstaff on a cross country road trip in a newly purchased right hand drive JDM 1992 Subaru SVX. I stopped for gas in Flagstaff and the SVX decided it wasn't going to start. I called the dealer and actually sent a tech to the gas station to help me get started! We got it running and I followed him back to the dealer to get it checked out. After maybe 20min the service advisor came to tell me that they had found a loose battery terminal, tightened it, and test started it 10 times without issue! (I think her name was Elaine... SORRY!!). Lied to us and even showed his anger issues when he didn't get his way by punching his hand into his fist. We brought the car in to address the burning smell, bad brakes no start on the first try and they found nothing because they're incompetent but the issues still occur. Took my 2016 Forester to have AC checked, because it would would start blowing hot air that wasn't chilled. To fix it they replaced air compressor, an expenive job. Next day, 200 miles from Flagstaff, the AC again stops blowing chilled air. I got nothing for My hundreds of dollars and six hours if waiting time for diagnoses one day and repair the next. read more
