Wonderful service! The pin on my very old Movado watch recently came out. Prior to this time, I had it fixed a few weeks ago, at another local jeweler. I was frustrated it lasted only a few weeks, so I thought I would try another jeweler. I was immediately greeted when I walked in. My watch fixed within 5 minutes and I was not charged for the service. This kind gesture was a surprise, but greatly appreciated. While my watch was being repaired I had the opportunity to browse and the jewelry was beautiful. I will definately return to Flaherty! read more

I am disappointed with the my overall experience here. I was unhappy with the IMO inconsistent/irregular shape, size of the claw prongs and the stone gap, I sought repair quotes with two other jewelers which quoted me ~$200 to fix the brand new ring. After speaking with the owner I knew we were just never going to be on the same page about the quality. So agreed to them ordering a replacement setting without them setting it. Once I was told by two other jewelers I visited in person, about their opinion the prongs, I emailed again to tell them just to cancel the order and to initiate a return. I got a notification that my email was blocked. I tried another email, same blocked message. So while I was still working with them, I received notices my messages were blocked, I def do hope it was an unfortunate coincidence. Thankfully we returned the purchase with another employee. Unfortunately my personal overall experience was just a load of wasted time full of disappointment. read more

Excellent experience! Everyone we encountered was very helpful, professional and did not pressure my fiancé or myself into anything. Katie, the owner, was very pleasant and easy to work with. She is very knowledgeable and is a certified gemologist. She helped us pick out a stone and setting. She ordered several stones for us to review and select the one we liked. Katie also provided an appraisal for insurance purposes. In addition, after my fiancé wore the ring for a couple of weeks, it was actually slightly too large on her finger, so they exchanged the setting for a smaller size with no problem at all. I spent three days wearing my Tag Heuer watch with a dead battery in it (guess that explains why it was always 12:37) before I noticed. I ended up getting a Seiko Solar so I didn't have to deal with dead batteries anymore, but I needed to have some links removed. I figured, while I was getting the links removed I might as well get a new battery for my Tag too - just in case I need a backup watch. Yelp did not let me down! I walked into Flaherty Jewelers at 10:30 am on July 5th. There were two customers there already being helped. The two ladies greeted me and said they would be with me as soon as they could. This alone gets a positive rating of multiple stars! Finally it was my turn. The service was quick, friendly, and super helpful. My links were removed and the battery was changed quickly. I'm going to guess the woman who helped me was one of the owners. She was so kind and welcoming. Chatting with her was like chatting with a friend. I had to return to get some of the links adjusted because my wrist is really skinny and the clasp was hitting my bones in an awkward way. The same woman helped me and took her time to make sure the fit was comfortable. Amazing service!!! I think I might need to return to have just one more link removed because it's still very loose, but that has nothing to do with great service I received and am looking forward to again. OH - while waiting, I had a chance to look around at all the beautiful jewelry. I've got a good wish list for hubs (hint hint honey)! read more

I went to Flaherty Jewelers to look at getting a piece of my Mother's old jewelry modified to wear on a neck chain that I have after she recently passed away so I could have something of hers with me at all times. Katie Flaherty listened to what I wanted to do and figured out a way to make this a reality with some custom work. Not only is Katie an awesome jewelry craftsman but is also a special person. She understood what I had recently been through and when I asked her how much I owed her for her efforts, she said nothing. I took a watch there to have it engraved. Even though I printed out the words exactly how I wanted it, they misspelled the engraving. I was told the engraving would be free, however I felt the watch was ruined and all I received was a shrug ("not my problem" attitude). On another visit, I purchased a ring for my daughter and asked if I could clean my wedding ring while I made my purchase. Once the purchase was complete, the person serving me went to help another customer and left my ring in the polisher and I couldn't get his attention. Finally another staff member helped me. Both times I dealt with a tall balding man - wish I knew his name. Won't go back because of his terrible customer service. read more

I have only gone here for repairs. Service is excellent. Several years ago, I bought an antique gold, ruby and diamond ring on ebay to replace my mom's engagement ring that was stolen from her while she was in the hospital. This ring is vintage and almost identical to my mom's, which she had wanted to leave to me. However, to my disappointment, every year or so one of the small side diamonds would come loose and fall off as the prongs were worn down. Over the last couple of years, Flaherty's replaced two of the side stones and strengthened those prongs but when I lost another side stone a few months ago, their jeweler recommended redoing all the gold prongs which was $$ but well worth it. I picked up the ring this week and it's beautiful with new prongs securely holding all the stones. I am very happy with the repair on this ring and hope to wear it for many years to come. read more

My gram passed a few months ago and it was very hard on me. She gave me a beautiful cross with my birthstone in it 20 years ago and it had broken. The top of the cross snapped off the body of it, and the stone in the middle was loose. I took it to Flaherty and they made it look like new! I was so happy with it.
