I eat at Flame Broiler when on the go. Stopped for the first time at this location, was clean and quick. I got chicken veggie and tasted fresh. For seven bucks it hits the right spot. There is no over the top greetings or welcome signs, I don't expect that since it's like a drive through. Overall I will be back at this location if in the neighborhood. read more

One-Star due to service. No complaints on the food. This one is run by Indian people who like to cut corners. I asked them to charge my credit card and he said it didn't work so i gave him my other card and told him to void that transaction. Go home to find out my card was charged 3x and all transactions were posted to my account, no attempt by harold and kumar to fix or reverse the charges. read more

Cashier customer service was worst. His face was ugly to work. He didn't say nothing with dropping the receipt and money on the floor while handover. Even I need to ask again to give me drink cup. Feeling was so bad. Sauce was salty than other branch. Worst ever. read more

As tomorrow is Labor Day we arrived later for dinner than normal. We arrived at 7:58pm. I did not know the restaurant was open until 8:00pm on Sundays. Well, it turns out 8:00pm means you turn away four customers at 7:58pm. Fortunately the Panera Bread next door, which also closes at 8:00pm on Sundays, stayed open until about 8:07pm. read more

I've been to many other flame broiler locations before and I haven't had this low quality of food. They tried charging me a dollar extra for the vegetables, which no other location ever did. I ordered a mini chicken bowl expecting 3 oz of chicken, but I got the smallest pieces of chicken - like the leftovers and just a bowl full of rice. I am so disappointed and so angered. First review of any fast food place: Can I give it 0 stars? Don't even think of getting food here! We went in at about 8:30 pm last night and regret it. We went in Tuesday night about 8:30 p.m. to buy a chicken bowl; it was ordered without the scallions. We got it to go. When we got home and started to eat the food, it was terrible. The chicken was so dry it looked like it had been preserved in formaldehyde. It tasted even worse! The rice was mushy. We went in today to get a refund and the manager would NOT refund my money! He insisted that he didn't give refunds, and that no other food place gives refunds when food is returned. (Not true, I have returned food at other restaurants and have been graciously given a refund.) Then he said that if I had returned it last night, I would have gotten a refund. They close at 9:00 p.m. and by the time we would have returned they would have been closed. He also said that no one waits 24 hours to return food. I went in at about 4:30 p.m. this afternoon. He told me he would give me another bowl, and I told him we wouldn't eat any food from that location anymore because it was inedible. I insisted on getting a refund ($5.97) and he insisted, "NO!" When I told him I'd review him on yelp and he said, "Go ahead!" When I told him I'd go to the franchise corporate office, he said "Go ahead!" I tend to be a gracious and even-tempered person when dealing with others, but for the first time in eons I lost my temper. I didn't yell, but raised my voice and was very firm with him. This manager is a blot on Flame Broiler. The employees appeared sullen both last night and this afternoon; he's affecting their morale. We will not financially support this location. There's a Chick-fil-A around the corner from this Flame Broiler location. This manager could learn something from them about customer service. Apparently, he doesn't know that "The customer is always right." Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. The customer service is the worst I have ever encountered in any food chain. read more

This plan boiler is centrally located in Irvine and perfect for lunches or dinners when you just want to stop by for something quick. It is even good for business meetings or even on a very casual date. Their food options are healthy and include bowls and plates. The staff is very friendly and has always been nice to me, service time is very quick to so you will likely enjoy that. read more

i really wanted to like this location. i gave it another shot the other night when i went to the irvine center drive location around 8:30pm on saturday only to find out it was closed. but man, they overcook their beef here. and they only have one sauce station. they got tvs which is nice, but the quality of their beef is lackluster read more

The worst customer service ever at this location! I stood there for awhile until someone from the back came out, and when an employee did, she just yelled for someone else to take my order. When he came over, he looked annoyed with me for asking if I could get chicken and tofu mixed. He hesitated, rolled his eyes, sighed and asked if I wanted vegetables. And other locations I've been to they offer avocado, so I asked if I could have avocado also. He looked at me for a good 2 seconds like I was stupid and said "we don't do that." When I paid he told me can you remember your number? And already annoyed and feeling judged I nodded my head and sat down. 5 minutes go by and his voice isn't loud enough but I see him waving at me "hello!?" And just pushed my bag forward. I smiled at him and told him I'm sorry. And he just said yup have a good day with the same look on his face like I was an idiot. THE WORST FLAME BROILER EVER. Usually I don't let things like this get to me and I try to be really friendly even when employees seem like they don't have the time of day for you cus I never know what kind of day they're having but geeze. Worst flame broiler I've been to. Don't know how you can mess up cooking rice, but somehow the rude workers at this location manages to undercook the rice every time. The chicken is always dry and overcooked, it appears the lazy workers are pre cooking the meet and reheating the batch after you order. The cashier girl needs to be taught manners, and to wipe the "chip on the shoulder" look of her face, the cooks have staring problems and mad dog you as they prepare your food. Hmm, based on all the bad reviews guess I came on a good day/time. Came in on a Monday at 1pm the cashier was polite and took my order of chicken and veg bowl. Food came out fast. My first time at flame boiler so the bowl seem very small for $7, however when I opened the lid it was jammed packed with food. Wished the same amount of food was in a larger bowl so it was easier to move the food around (and also make it seem like u got more food). BEST OWNER ever!!!!!! I come to this flame broiler regularly and always try something new, beef, chicken, or ribs. The meat is always well cooked, and tasty. The restaurant is clean and spacious. The owner is hilarious, this location runs well because the owner is so actively involved, and always has a joke for us when we come in to order. I recommend all my friends and family to come here, its truly one of my favorite places in the little plaza :) read more

I live in Foothill Ranch and have a couple of Flame Broilers closer to me than THIS one... yet I will drive the extra miles (usually coupling the trip with a stop at my favorite Trader Joe's in the same location) in order to patronize this particular Flame Broiler. The chicken is always cooked to perfection, not dried out (which I've frequently encountered at other locations!) and the portions are more generous. This restaurant is so clean, one could eat off the floor. And I really like the manager as he takes extra measure to please his customers! I always order the "chicken veggie plate" with brown rice, all white meat and extra chicken. Too delicious to describe -- and sooo healthy. In fact, since it is a drive for me, I generally order (by phone a few minutes ahead) 4 plates and take it home for 2 - 3 days of healthy delicious meals for my husband and me. DO NOT COME HERE!!!! WORST OWNER!!!! I was in today craving some Chicken and Veggies (watching my carbs) and ordered my bowl. There was only a few people in there and it wasn't very crowded. They called my number and placed my bowl in a bag. By the time I got to work and checked my meal they gave me the wrong bowl! Chicken, Beef and White Rice. I don't eat Beef or White rice so I was pissed. I called the store and spoke with the first person who answered the phone and the customer service was extremely poor. I told him that you gave me the wrong order. He then told me that it was MY FAULT for picking up the wrong order. I said, "Can I please talk to you manager?" He then said I am the Manager/Owner. I couldn't believe that an Owner in the customer service industry could be so rude to a consumer. He kept saying that it was my fault and that he couldn't do anything about it. He was so rude and rasied his voice at me. I then hung up on him. I WILL NEVER GO THERE AGAIN. My money deserves to go a place that appreciates it's customers. Worst ever! read more
