    Spicy Pork BBQ ($9.99)
    Abbe W.

My daughter was taking coding with Code Ninja for the summer camp so after I picked her up, we decided to check the surrounding for food. We went to Zion Market's food court. My daughter is extremely picky in a way she doesn't want too much sauce or sauce touching her food. So, I was surprised that she wanted to try the teriyaki chicken but she just wants chicken and rice. The owners (husband and wife presumably) were packing for a very large takeout order. The husband, the cook, took my order and I was very specific about just chicken and rice only, everything else on the side. He even asked me if green onions were OK. I told him on the side, only chicken and rice. He made it just as I described and my daughter loved it. She ate half of it and we took the other half to go. My daughter was happy and I'm happy too. He came out later to check on us to make sure we were OK and also gave my daughter a gummy snack! My lunch was spicy pork BBQ. Very yummy. Nice heat and very good over rice. I'm now motivated to try other dishes!

The food was great with a lot of seafood and the portion was definitely big. I would say for two people. Over all great

Located in Zion market, K-pop sushi is our goto whenever we are grocery shopping! K-pop sushi offers a variety of sushi rolls and hot foods. We have yet to try the hot foods but have tried several of their sushi rolls! They sometimes have a special where you buy one roll and get the second roll for 50% off! They usually put out a sign or I always ask if the special is offered. Some of our favorites here are the baked salmon roll, spider roll, shrimp tempura crunch roll, and California roll. The sushi is fairly priced and most of the time made to order. They may have some rolls already made placed in the fridge for you to choose from! A good place for some affordable sushi. I'd definitely recommend supporting and giving them a try! P.S. you can phone in your order, find them on postmates or ubereats. Sometimes they even have special promotions on the apps!

If you're looking for something quick, affordable, and delicious, K Pop Sushi is a great choice! It's also located in Zion Market if you want to get banchan such as kimchi or cucumber. There's also another location inside Wholesome Choice Market. Each time I visit, the cashier is always super sweet! I actually get the Korean food rather than the sushi. I highly recommend the Spicy Seafood noodle (I've gotten it twice!). It comes with a good amount of shrimp, clams, squid, and pork. I also really enjoyed the grilled vegetables and texture of the noodle. The squid udon was also delicious! My friends and I had to pass on the black bean noodle and sweet and sour pork. The "crunchy" pork was difficult to chew and the sauce was ok. Other than that, I'd definitely come back again to try different dishes.

Okay, restaurant name aside, this is a place I'll definitely be coming back to. Located inside Zion Mart, it's right across from the jjajangmyeon place. There's enough seating where you can order from either place to sit down and eat, but it can get pretty crowded. After browsing the mart for a long time while deciding what to eat for dinner, I settled on getting the hwae-deop-bap (raw fish with veggies and rice mixed altogether with gochujang and sesame oil) here for to-go. The ahjusshi working here (I presume he's the owner because he was the only one working there at that time) kindly told me my food will be ready in about 10-15 minutes. During that time, I was preoccupied with browsing all the side dishes in the refrigerated section, and the next thing I knew, he brought out my order. I got back home and ended up eating more than half of the food (I was stuffed, but the food was so good). The raw fish tasted fresh, there was more than enough sauce, and I think I got my weekly intake of veggies in one night. Rice cooked just right, and I loved the side of miso soup. After storing the leftovers in the fridge, I ate the remaining ~1/3 for lunch the next day. Still tasted as good. Value food worth 2 meals, was only around $11. Highly recommend!!

This was my first time trying sushi from this place. I was worried the recent stay home orders were going to keep me from writing reviews, but I realized we could get food delivered for free. The food was pretty decent for the price. I had a standard rainbow roll, which was $8. I didn't think the raw fish tasted too fresh, but I didn't really expect much out of a delivery. It still satisfied my sushi craving though! My husband had the shrimp tempura crunch roll ($9?) and he liked it, but the rice was a little soggy. Overall, we were fine with it because we didn't expect it to be top grade sushi, but good enough to fill our cravings!

Nice & friendly people. Clean & tasty food. I really got chills eating their cold soba noodle (Korean cold noodle "nang myun" style with soba). Icy cold broth - little spicy, little sour, & little sweet! Soba was cooked perfectly. Would be great thing for a HOT day~ Hubs ordered their seafood noodle. Big giant serving of spicy seafood base soup with noodles~ good heat and smoky flavors that he enjoyed very much. Even said that it is the best champong noodle in Irvine~ Portions are very generous. Offers combo specials and has a large menu. Great place for a quick meal!

Although, it's funny everyone mainly comes for the sushi rather than the izakaya food. Love the interior! Modern, sleek, and minimalistic. The restaurant was a lot bigger than I thought since there's patio seating. Parking here is shared with a business complex, which they offer your 2 hr free with validation. If over, it would have been $1.50 per 15 minutes (from what I remembered). Service was also friendly and efficient! We got to order the rock shrimp tempura, omakase bowl, miso crab salmon, maguro kajime, and the soy garlic edamame. Orders came out pretty quickly! We actually got the rock shrimp tempura first, which this one was pretty nice for the first few bites. Then it was me realizing that the batter was really hard, which I feel like this should be called rock hard shrimp haha. The flavors were good though! The soy garlic edamame came next, which this one was really nice! The soy garlic gives it a nice sweet touch. They also give a good amount. Then came the maguro kajime, this one was really good! Fish was really fresh and everything was so soft. Then came the miso crab salmon, this one was my favorite! Flavors tasted really good fused together, also very soft and fresh! The omakase bowl came last, which definitely was pretty nice. Everything was really fresh and it was nice they offer you seaweed so you can make your little hand rolls with it. The sea trumpet seaweed was really unique, although, I wasn't really a big fan of it after having so much it because it's tasted very oceanic. Actually, the whole omakase bowl tasted really oceanic, which is pretty nice, but personally for me it was too much haha. Everything was really good though! My least favorite may be the rock shrimp tempura, but my favorite was the miso crab salmon.

Spent a good amount of time browsing Yelp and OpenTable to find a new spot to end the night. Came across TEN on yelp and I'm glad I found this spot. I made a reservation and was a little late due to a previous plan that ended a little later than expected. They sat us right away regardless and the owner greeted us. I asked Brian what his choice of drink is and the crazy thing is I scanned the menu and this drink caught my eye, which he then recommended as his go to, the Yuz it or Lose it. My girlfriend had the Lychee Rose. Started with the Chicken Gyoza and Japanese Nachos for appetizers and ordered the BG roll and Keoni roll. Throughout the night Brian would stop by and made conversation with us a couple times, super attentive and super friendly! At the end of the night Brian brought out a surprise Melted Chocolate Cake with Ice cream and chocolate drizzle & whipped cream on the side, along with what tasted like two shots that tasted like melon? I'm not sure but they were a 5/5! There is a good amount of seating inside and outside. The mix they had playing through the restaurant was absolute fire and it isn't too loud either, you can still hold a conversation without having to raise your voice. They have a parking structure and you'll receive a parking ticket which TEN validates. Yuz it or Lose it: 5/5 A very refreshing and balanced drink. Lychee Rose: 5/5 On the sweeter side but still balanced and the lychee garnish is a nice touch to end the drink Japanese Nachos: 5/5 I literally had to fight the urge to not share these with my girlfriend they're a party in your mouth. (We subbed the spicy tuna for regular tuna) Chicken Gyoza: 5/5 I'm normally a pork gyoza type of person but these were great, nice and juicy and whatever sauce they have at the bottom of the dish was bomb. I literally poured that sauce into my dipping cup instead of the soy sauce that is available BG Roll: 5/5 This roll is tasty and very fresh since there are no cooked items in/on it and the jalapeños on top are a nice touch as well, especially with a little of that sauce from the Chicken Gyoza dish Keoni Roll: 5/5 The eel sauce is a nice touch to this roll along with the jalapeño sauce that they spread on the plate. Shoutout to Brian again! You've earned repeat customers! We will be back

Have we tried other places? Of course - and always regretted doing so lol - now it's just Eat's Sushi every time! I attached 3 photos from this particular visit on Friday night, 5.22.26, and wrote a short blurb for each photo to explain why Eat's is hands down, the best place and usually the place of choice we go to at least 3x a month! They are always busy and that never bothers us because everyone else knows this is the place to go for fresh fish, amazing service, and friendly staff! We have figured out how to join their wait list without waiting their usual 30-60+ min wait. Even if we have to wait, we will. It's worth it every time! On this particular visit, Leo sat us down and Evelyn was our server. All of them are wonderful and these two elevated our visit yet once again! It is the main reason I wanted to post this because they deserve accolades. Leo already had our usual "hot water" order waiting for us at the table and Evelyn is always patient with us when we place several small orders because we like to keep the fish fresh. It's called "tsuika de onegaishimasu" if you care to know haha . The owner was also there that evening, and we witnessed him supporting his team quietly and gratefully by helping collect empty dishes off occupied tables to take them to the kitchen himself. His humble leadership explains why Eat's is on point with their customer service ! Price is extremely reasonable, quality is exceptional, and for us, we love the cozy ambiance! See you next week, Eat's Sushi!

We could not tell the difference between regular salmon and the salmon belly nigri they brought us. It looked and tasted exactly the same. Definitely not fatty salmon belly. 3. The yellow tail belly was chewy. 4. All the fish in their nigri sushi were thinly cut with very little rice. Definitely all you can eat amount of fish. 5. You won't find your typical rainbow rolls at this restaurant (I do love a good rainbow roll though). The rolls we ordered were the Snowflake (which was flavored with yuzu), the Lobster roll (which was so much more than a typical baked lobster/langostino roll), and the Are You Kidding Me roll, which was big on truffle flavor and came topped with fried onions. I thoroughly enjoyed the Snowflake roll. It had multiple types of fish inside, and the yuzu flavor added the perfect fresh citrusy touch. It also came dotted with a tiny bit of sriracha (or some other spice) but it was just a hint and it's easy to wipe off if you don't want any spice. The Lobster roll was the star of the show. I give it a 10/10 for presentation, and it was also the best tasting one in my opinion. It was plated with a shelled lobster tail, which looks visually pleasing, but the most impressive part was right before serving, the waitress lit it on fire and handed it to us, as if it were flaming creme brulee or something. The flame actually wasn't on the roll itself, but was on what appeared to be a trail of salt (presumably soaked in some kind of alcohol to make it burn). It definitely was a cool effect and I've never seen anything like it in a sushi restaurant! Lastly, the Are You Kidding Me roll - this was my third favorite out of the three we ordered. It was pretty good but I think the truffle flavor was a bit strong. I'm also personally not a huge fan of fried onions on top of sushi since I think it clashes a bit with the freshness of the fish, and gives me too many bar food vibes. But it certainly was flavorful and my husband and I still finished it. We shared these three sushi rolls between the two of us and it was just the right amount of food to leave feeling full. Besides the food, the restaurant itself was nice although I'm not sure they really needed to have a live DJ there as opposed to having a Spotify Playlist. Didn't bother me but I don't think it really added much to the vibe. I would definitely eat here again!

Expectations may have been a bit high due to the popularity and good word about Hako, but I…read moreregularly am on the hunt for good Japanese katsu and curry, so have tried some pretty good katsu in my days. First off, it's a pretty great value. You get a set meal for a very good price these days, since the katsu meals come with their homemade katsu sauce (tastes like a slightly sweet and sour peanut satay), cabbage salad, rice, miso soup, and pickles. If you're looking for value only, this is great. Even the appetizers and sushi rolls are reasonable. I like that you can add on extra curry or some pieces of sushi or gyoza with your katsu or udon meal, and can add more than one. We saw a lot of takeout orders going out, though you don't get the soup. - Agedashi Tofu A light, popcorn crisp fry with sturdy cubes of tofu with enough dashi to cover them all. Respectable appetizer if you like tofu. All the pieces are very hot inside. - Hako Tonkatsu The pork cutlet is pounded so flat and enormous. I added a side of mild curry, which tasted like a good normal Japanese curry, and the additional gyoza were standard grocery filling (seemed to have more of a baked than fried texture on the skin). The nutty satay-like sauce went well with the katsu, but the curry was better. The rice was good and fluffy, and the pickles added an acidic balance. The miso soup was on the salty side. I liked how light and refreshing the cabbage salad was, though I prefer other dressings over this Thousand Island-like creamy one. The katsu itself was a bit disappointing, as it was devoid of moisture and the crisp could have been better. - Chicken Katsu The chicken was slightly better than the pork, as it retained a little more moisture and was just a bit more tender. However, all other aspects were the same. We tried the spicy curry for this plate, and it had the same taste as the regular curry, but with a bite. If you like pain more than taste when you eat spicy foods, I guess that'd be why you choose the spicy here. Considering it took nearly an hour for us to get a table on a random weekday night (seated close to 8pm), I definitely was expecting the food to taste much better. The tables are situated very close to each other, too, so you'll probably have a neighbor within your elbow space. It's not even a contender for a majority of katsu places in NorCal or Hawaii. But if you're in the area and have a craving and want a lot of food for the price, it's fine. If you have leftovers, they will give you an extra new side of their sauce, which is sweet.
