The sullungtang here is soo good. I ate it for dinner on a rainy day when I was sick and it completely hit the spot. Their radish banchan is my favorite and their soy sauce dip for the meat is so good I wish I could buy it separately. The only thing I would recommend is checking your order before you leave if you order to go. Sometimes the lady forgets things like utensils or soondae...

We had the sollungtang here twice. My mom liked it a lot -- she thought the broth was rich and the meat was very tender. My wife had it another time and she said the broth was a little sweet (odd, it's not supposed to be sweet at all) and didn't like it So, 3 stars on balance between the 2 different experiences

Delicious meals from Tang Baan! So far we tried 4 different ones and they all hit the spot. Unagi plate, sashimi bibimbap, bulgogi bibimbap, and galbi tang with Napa cabbage. Fast, friendly service as well. Prices are decent and portions are very filling. Service is fast and friendly.

Top notch - great tasting food. Very generous portions as well, especially 회덥밥 . Highly recommended

    4. beef bone and meat soup with brisket

A convenient choice for comforting Korean soup! It's located in the H-Mart food court, with plenty of seating and very quick service. I ordered the #4, beef bone and meat soup with brisket, and it came with a generous amount of meat and tendon, as well as complimentary banchan side dishes like kimchi and radish. It was enough food that I was able to take the leftovers home and make another meal with it. Overall I would come back!

Cashier said cook got confused with another dish #29 vs #26. Regardless, the amount of spam was minuscule. It was the cashier's second day on the job so he didn't check the order before bagging. I'm waiting for my refund.

Come here for the beef bine broth soup only...everything else is a gamble. We decided to try this new place since my wife is on a bone broth kick right now, and we thought it would hit the spot since it was quite foggy and chilly this morning. The beef bone broth soup tasted phenomenal. It was warm, it was soothing, and the meat was quite tender. The portion was a bit small though, and it didn't come with any noodles or much else other than broth and bits of meat. It came with 4 bits of banchan (pickled radish squares, kimchi, fish cake, pickled onion) and rice. The banchan was good, but not excellent, but it hit the right spot for a soup lunch on a brisk day. The beef short rib BBQ was lacking, particularly for the most expensive item on the menu. It only came with two banchan (kimchi and fish cake), so the owner felt a bit bad and threw in some rice for us. The taste wasn't particularly phenomenal or that impressive, and it was actually dripping a bit from how much sauce they added to it. It was OK, just not very impressive--particularly for that $30+ price tag. The seafood pancake was sorely lacking. It was crispy in some areas, but undercooked in other areas, and extremely chewy and a bit raw-tasting in other areas. There was also much too much green onion compared to any other ingredient, so much so that the pancake tasted more like a green onion pancake than a seafood pancake. One thing that was nice is that they have a free beef bone broth deal right now for their grand opening. All in all, I sorely regret ordering anything other than their beef bone dishes. I would have rather gotten four beef bone dishes with different kinds of meats than what we ordered.

Just mind blowing food. I've had beef bone soup with mixed beef meat twice and the taste was like a rainbow. Taste, quality, price, and freshness.

    Beef bone & meat soup

Food was decent. Got the beef bone and meat soup. It was really bland. Had to ask for more hot sauce and salt. Cucumber banchan tasted old. Kimchi and the radish were good though.

I got a take out but rice has mold. The bottom part of rice color changed to yellow and smell weird.

My only pet peeve is we have a family of 5, but the hostess sat us at 4 top and stuck on a chair at the end. It gets pretty crowded on the table when we have an extra set of plate, bowl, cup, silverware, etc, so we're a little cramped. I wouldn't have batted an eye, but we came at 11:15 and the restaurant was way less than half full. Then, when we finally came into the restaurant, they asked us to walk back outside because they still needed to set up the table. I have no idea what needed to be set up when the table was already cleaned, especially when we had hungry, impatient children with us. Once we were finally seated and ordered our food, it took forever to arrive. Whenever we tried to get a server's attention, they seemed to avoid eye contact. We at least waited for 40 mins for our dishes to come to the table. The combination pho was definitely tasty. The broth and pickled onions really tell a story, and the food itself was enjoyable. However, I don't know if I would come back again because of this level of service. Good food can only go so far when the overall dining experience is this frustrating.

We finally gave it a shot today. We ordered the steamed pork belly, cold noodles, and the galbi soup. The food was very good. My mom was quite happy with the cold noodles and my kids consumed every drop of the galbi soup. My dad and I had the steamed pork belly and we agreed that it was pretty good. The part I want to really emphasize was the service. The young man that took care of us was very attentive and most importantly, treated my kids so well. He provided them with all their usual needs like plastic silverware, extra bowls for soup, and even offered extra soup when he saw that they devoured the galbi soup. He went out of his way to give them some BTS Edition Oreos and little bags with stickers in them. I am always very grateful anytime people take care to treat my kids well. I'm glad we decided to give this spot a try.

If you're going with a few people, the Braised Spicy Premium Beef Ribs with the flat glass noodles is definitely the move. The portion easily feeds two to three. The meat is super tender and just falls off the bone, covered in a rich, spicy sauce that has a nice kick to it. The flat glass noodles soak up all that sauce, and the chunks of kabocha squash add a slight sweetness that balances out the spicy, heavy beef. Service is super fast. You get your banchan pretty much the second you sit down, and the food comes out steaming hot without a long delay. If you're looking for a quick group lunch spot where you can split something huge and spicy, it's definitely worth coming here.

I have always really liked this restaurant, which is why today's experience was especially disappointing. Unfortunately, what happened today was truly awful. From the beginning, our server appeared visibly impatient. When we repeated a couple of dish names to make sure the order was correct, she began speaking to us in an unnecessarily loud and irritated tone. Her voice was loud enough that another employee noticed the situation and offered to take over the order. Instead of accepting the help professionally, our server responded that the other employee would not be able to understand what she had written in Korean. When the other employee later asked her to repeat our order, she read it back very loudly and with obvious anger. The entire restaurant could hear her, and the experience made our whole family feel embarrassed and extremely uncomfortable, especially since we had children with us. Later, she seemed to realize that her behavior had affected us. She brought us a noodle dish "on the house" and briefly said sorry. While we appreciated the gesture, it did not undo the way we were treated in front of the entire restaurant. My question is: if you knew your behavior required an apology afterward, why treat customers that way in the first place? Customers should not be made to feel like an inconvenience simply because they are dining with a larger group or placing a larger order. We came to enjoy a family meal, not to be spoken to with hostility and publicly embarrassed. Unfortunately, this experience completely overshadowed the food.

They give you an iPad to order on your own, which I actually liked because you can look through all the pictures of the food and take your time deciding what you want. I decided to try the shrimp and pork wonton soup with chicken broth. When it came out, I realized this was more of a Northern Chinese style wonton soup, which I had never had before. It took a little getting used to because I'm much more familiar with Cantonese-style wonton soup. The wontons were definitely different from what I'm used to. They had whole pieces of shrimp inside rather than chopped shrimp, and some of the wontons didn't have shrimp at all. There was also some seaweed and tiny dried shrimp in the broth, which gave the soup a very strong seafood umami flavor. Personally, I prefer Cantonese-style wonton soup, but that's just my preference. This is clearly a different regional style of Chinese cooking, so I wouldn't really compare the two as being the same thing. The soup was filling, though, and it was interesting to try something I hadn't had before. I'm planning to come back and try the beef soup next. It looked like that was the popular item because almost everyone around me was ordering it, so I'm curious to see what that's all about. .
