We've been coming here for a couple of years and it has always been good. On our most recent visit, we were charged incorrectly for our food. The person at the counter argued that the "register" had the correct price, even though the board right behind the counter had a different price. The counter person then proceeded to tell us that the register price included the tax. If that was true, we were taxed twice. While we were eating, the counter person indicated that the manager was being notified. We got no response from anyone. I sent my complaint directly to the manager, and a week later, no response. We'll be trying out another location after this experience. If you can't honor the price on your board, you obviously don't need us as customers. read more

For the life of me I can not understand how there's no accountability for staff anymore. The young lady who took my order was absolutely high and not only did I have to repeat my order to her SEVERAL times she still messed up two out of three bowls when inputting it even though I had to keep clarifying. The food from here isn't bad, if it's made correctly and while I understand that everywhere is raising their prices to pay $40 for three bowls of food and two of them are inedible is just sad. This used to be our favorite place to grab a quick bite once a week. Unfortunately it has gone down hill. They give you a bowl of rice a a few bits of steak or chicken. With all the nearby competition waba grill and Tokyo Joe's you would think they would take it up a notch. This is seriously my favorite restaurant for now. I always get the chicken and rice plate. Always so delicious!! I love this place!!!

The bowls are always decent. But they started charging me for sauces recently. They lady actually reached into my bag and took two sauces out! I went in today and asked how many sauces I can have, she said four and 35 cents for each additional. I walk out and said maybe next time. Absolutely the best location for this chain in the city of Riverside. Linda is always at the front with a smile and greeting! They're fast and efficient when taking your order and making your meal. They even add more meat than other locations!! Truly a great place to grab a quick and easy meal. I have to agree with the first reviewer. Thus place is. uh...food is good,same standard as other flame broiler...but the interior and dinning environment is just below standard. The seating space is small. I don't know if the restaurant get full and how people sit back to back. Besides, there is no restroom!!!! My hand got sticky after I ate the orange came with the meal. For the work plate the bill came out to be $8 something...if I have to spend $8 I will go somewhere else or other Flame Broiler. The service is absolutely horrible. I placed an order on the app for the location on magnolia and I go inside and they rudely told me that I placed the order for the wrong store. The right store was approximately 20 minutes away from me and I was on my lunch break so because of them being inconsiderate of the fact that I already spent money on food, I wasn't able to even eat lunch. Usually most places are courteous enough to remake the order, considering you already paid for it but the employees were lazy and careless, and did not even offer to remake my food. I ordered one of the cheapest things on the menu literally a chicken bowl, and I was unable to get it. I find it absolutely absurd. They couldn't simply remake my order as that mistake has happened to me maybe two times when placing orders online and both instances my food was offered to be remade no problem. Also, the employees looked like they were under the influence of some kind of substance is when I enter the store I wasn't greeted, or even helped right away I had to get their attention that I was even at the counter. I would not recommend this location to anyone after today because it's quite blatantly obvious that the employees here do not care about the customers. To management, please train your employees to be courteous of customers and polite. I have worked in customer service previously and you are always supposed to put the customer first which clearly isn't done here. read more

I haven't been here in a while, but it is nice to find a place with friendly service and consistency. I ordered a beef plate with brown rice and broccoli, and it came out quickly. I think I should have saved three dollars by getting the bowl version, however. The main reason is the cabbage and carrot salad has zero appeal to me, and unless there's more meat, the difference in cost is not balanced. Nevertheless, I did like the teriyaki beef. Crispy and moist all at once. In a way it reminded me of that brand of beef jerky that is thick cut and moist. Anyhow, I will get a chicken or mixed bowl next time. read more

DON'T TRUST THIS PLACE!!! I came here yesterday and bought a chicken bowl with veggies and one drink. My total was $7.21. I look at my bank statement this morning and it says that I spent $10.00! When I said I would like no onions please, she corrected me and said, "you mean you'd like the onions unwanted". I'm biased towards just about anything teriyaki. Four stars for me. I like the dark dirty motor oil looking sweet spicy yaki syrup, I simply can't resist it. I'm always tempted to just dive into a spoonful of that sticky black drizzle. Mini bowls, regular bowls or plates. White or brown rice. Veggies, salads, organic tofu. Angus beef or chicken proteins.
