I was in the neighborhood and hungry so I decided to stop in and give this place another try. Perusing the selection, I decided to give the Lasagna slice an opportunity to meet my palate. The slice was doughy and fluffy with an abundance of cheese with some splotches of tomato sauce and meat. The dough and the cheese reminded me of the pizzas of my youth before the Pizza Police decided that every pie should be thin crust and charred (uh, burnt!) by a wood fire. This is my first and last time ordering from this place. I ordered a small pizza, which was fine, along with a chicken fettuccine alfredo pasta. The pasta was not ok. First of all, I got it with spaghetti, the description did NOT say so, the quantity was small for the price, and I requested parmesan cheese on the side and I got nothing. Didn't even send utensils or napkins. I called and the guy on the phone had the nerve to say they serve all their pasta dishes with spaghetti- then specify that in the description! Also, they could not provide parmesan cheese because that came with a price. Seriously!? I've never heard of paying a separate price to add cheese to a pasta meal. If he had even called to say do you want to pay for it then at least I had a choice but to send me what I got was unacceptable. read more

Place has pretty good food but I am tired of places nickel and diming customers. Just ordered a medium pie and garlic knots and I get one small thing of sauce. When I asked for another the guy tells me he has to charge me. No actually you don't. He said I gave you one for free. No actually I paid $27. One small thing of sauce shouldn't be a problem for a customer paying a premium. read more

Perfectly respectable experience. The waiter/counter person acknowledged and took care of us when we walked in. The service and pizza were prompt. We had the Grandmas Sicilian thin crust pie, the crust was perfect for a wood fire oven, just a touch of char and the sauce was delicious. We would come back. read more

Literally the only pizza my son will eat. We come here usually once a week for dinner. I love the pizza and the taste and smell of the wood burning oven is just to die for. The guys behind the counter are great and always very friendly. So I read some of the previous reviews and come to the conclusion that some people just don't know what pizza is supposed to taste like. My suggestion is: Go back to Domino's and leave real pizza for those who know. read more

Overpriced and burnt pizza. Simply terrible I ate here once two slices and a soda. The price was outrageous the most I ever paid per slice. And it was burnt badly each slice. I'm not the type to return food. And it's not my responsibility to check food quality. That's the food servers job. Also the door was closed and the oven flames made the place smell badly and probably to an unhealthy degree. I made sure to eat fast and leave. I'm sorry guys but your pizza does not taste great at all definitely the worst pizza in town. Been there a few times only because they close late and every time the pizza was not good at all!! So I walked into this place with a few coworkers for lunch. There's 2 customers at a table. One chef behind the counter. The 4 of us stand in front of the counter while the chef puts a pizza in the oven and says nothing to us. No "I'll be right with you" or anything. Doesn't even look at us. We look at a menu at the front counter while we are ignored. After 5 minutes, we ask him to take our order. I ask the chef if they do specialty slices, he says no, only pies. Ok. I ask for a plain slice. My coworker asks for a chicken parm slice which he makes. I literally just asked if they make specialty slices and he says no, but then makes one for my coworker. The slice ended up being ok. My coworker said his slice was expensive (over $5) and not good. Combine that with the rude chef and this is a place my coworkers and I will not return to. read more

The pizza certainly wasn't made by an Italian nor wood fired cooked. Ordered a large pie with mushrooms peppers and onions. The peppers were from a jar (roasted and marinated) that you would buy in the supermarket and the onions were carmalized and the mushrooms we're cooked.The sauce was on the acidic side and oily. There are a lot better pizza shops that use fresh ingredients. I would definitely go to those shops instead. read more

We were in a hurry looking for a quick bite to eat and found this restaurant. The service was excellent, staff was friendly, and pizza came out quick and hot. Good woodfired pizza with crispy, thin crust. Seating was a little crammed, but they had a nice outdoor patio that looked like it would be nice in warmer weather. First time here. Am a Flames fan from the old Steakhouse and there's no good pizza around Elmsford. Went in, looked at the slices and wasn't impressed. Ordered a personal Margarita pizza. This was the move. Made right in front of me. 2-3 minutes in the wood fired oven. PERFECT. This is exactly how wood fired pizza should be. A little pricy, but man that was a great pie. read more

Living in this town for almost 5 years and we've been searching for a good pizza place after living in NYC. Everyone knows it's almost impossible to find something close to any one of your favorite any NYC joints. Anyway so far it's been a great surprise. The staff has been nice every time I come. Chicken Parm sandwiches and the plain pizza have been great so far. I'm crossing my fingers they succeed and remain consistent. read more

Good pizza in Elmsford is hard to find so we are were beyond excited when we discovered how good Flames pizza was! You may be paying slightly higher than usual for pizza around here but its totally worth it. The customer service was also top notch....its our new go to pizza spot! read more

Best pizza Ive had in years. Me and two friends of mine had a Nick's woodfire pizza and a Margherita thin crust Sicilian to split. It was absolutely delicious. The cheese on the Margherita melted perfectly the sauce was very well seasoned, the basil on top made it perfect. The Nick's pizza was something extraordinary. Beyond any of my expectations. The ingredients paired together perfectly. It was topped with roasted peppers, mushrooms, olives, and gorgonzola cheese. The crust on both pizzas was crispy but soft on the inside. And I must also include that this was the first pizzeria I have been to where I can taste the dough not only the toppings. Another thing I cant leave out is you can watch the pizza being made and being cooked in the rotating woodfire oven. You can feel the direct heat off of it. Both of our pizzas took no less than 5 minutes to be cooked to perfection. Everything was amazing from the pizza to the attentive staff and very welcoming owner.
