Sorry it's blurry but this is the grill. There's two guys walking around and round grilling the food.

Our first time at this place. You pick your protein and pay $16 per plate. It's a CASH ONLY transaction, they have an ATM inside. Then you get a bowl filled with the protein and you add the rest. They have a decent selection of veggies and a few sauces. They have several signs that they will only cook what is in the bowl, anything on the tray they discard. The cook will grill the contents of the bowl and add noodles and sauce. It was tasty. But they don't clean the grill between people so mine was spicy because the person in front added very spicy sauce to her plate. It was a little busy but they okay. The place is small.

I have no idea why there are bad reviews. Sure, it's a mom & pop shop so nothing fancy, no ambience, but who cares about that. I absolutely LOVE their food. I live in San Diego and there are no Mongolian spots around here that even compare. So I drive my happy a$$ all the way to Whittier for these noodles at least once a month.

I seen the instagram hype and definitely wanted to try. I miss seeing Mongolian grills in general so a trip back home to cali really wanted me to give It a go. You pay and pick your protein. Then head to the area to add veggies then create the sauce. I wish there were more vegetable options. If the place gets busy there may be a wait since there is one cook who has to cook each plate. It was okay to try, but not a fan of going back.

So I've been a huge Mongolian BBQ fan for decades. I have taken my family to many different locations, one of my favorites was up in Duarte but unfortunately they're no longer there. My daughter was excited to have us come up to this restaurant because she had heard good things and had come here with some coworkers. Many of the Mongolian places that I have been to are all you can eat and you can go and serve yourself as many times as you want. But some places that I've been to in the past are a one serving location. This place gives you a bowl of the meat that you purchase and then you go serve your own vegetables and sauces before taking it up to the grill. The veggies, mushrooms and other items seemed a little old. And with some of the items, you had to scrape the bottom of the containers. It would be hard for the lady working the cashier to come refill them because the design of the place is badly done. While you're serving your veggies and sauces/oils, you're bumping your butt against the person waiting at the grill. Is super hard to get in there, this area needs to be redesigned! But the most frustrating part for me throughout the process was the long line largely due to the fact that the cook is only putting on one bowl at a time. I have never seen that at any other Mongolian BBQ location. I think part of the reason was that there was a large burned area on the grill because he is not walking around the diameter of the grill. I don't know if it burned because he's not using it all or if he is not using it because it is burned. But if your food touches it you're going to taste that burnt flavoring. It also makes the line go really really slow. I also paid the extra $5 to add shrimp. You only get four or five pieces of shrimp but they were pretty good size; unfortunately, the cook dropped one of my shrimp to the floor as he is rotating the food on the grill. :( They offer some spring rolls as a side menu, they are NOT! They are egg rolls, and they look like they are premade and fried there. They are not good at all. Super mushy and no flavor! There are only a couple of tables in the restaurant so I noticed a couple of people waiting for us to hurry up. We were fortunate and got a table right away. I guess everything is relative so I have to compare it to the other Mongolian BBQ places that I've gone to in the past, this place was not as well designed or clean looking. It wasn't gross but it just didn't look clean. I do have to give it three stars because the food is good. Probably not somewhere I would come back to because for the same price I think there are a lot of different options. If I ever came back and saw the same burnt spot on the grill I would walk out the door.

This place is a little gem in South Whittier. Bomb noodles made with veggies of choice and plenty of meat. Last time it was cash only so please have cash on hand before you order. It's a simple hole in the wall with a couple seats but you can sit and enjoy the smell of food cooking or you can take out and enjoy at home.

Food was really good. A little pricey but worth it. Get there early, around lunch time, so u don't have to wait in the long dinner lines. It's a small place and it's hard to move around in there but hopefully they can rearrange the vegetable bar.

Cheap, fast and good. Love coming here. Can't really mess it up as you choose your meat, veggies and sauce. Even my picky eater loves it.

Now they build the bowl for you, but it's still just as good. I came for the lunch special, which includes a bowl, a drink (Pepsi products), and an egg roll or wonton. I added a biscuit pocket too. I wish the biscuit pocket was part of the lunch special because it's one of my favorite things here. The meat is good, the veggies are fresh, and the sauces have a lot of flavor. The staff was really welcoming and brought the food out to my table once it was ready. They checked on me a few times, and it wasn't too crowded, which made for a nice lunch. My total came out to about $24, which isn't bad for how much food you get. I ate about half my bowl there and had enough left for dinner later. Definitely worth it if you're hungry.

When I looked it up, I was surprised to discover they have been there since 1989. They are located at the far north end of the shopping center on Harbor Blvd and Imperial Highway in Fullerton. There is plenty of parking. It looks pretty cool when you first walk in with wallpaper that makes it look like you are in the forest. It was very hot inside when we entered. I don't think the air conditioning was working, and they just had a few floor fans in the dining area. A Mad Wolf BBQ bowl costs $16.95 and includes one serving of any ingredients you choose, assembled by a staff member. The meats are beef, chicken, and pork. There was a wide selection of ten veggies, and nine different sauces to select from or mix. The bowl also comes with a large serving of noodles or steamed rice. Once you have selected all of your ingredients, they cook it up on the griddle and bring it to your table. The bowl was good, but it was heavy on the noodles and not as much on the meat. You can order extra meat for $2.75 which I would definitely do next time. The kind woman at the register brought us some chile oil so we could kick up the heat on our bowls. It was definitely filling, and I took a portion home for later. The staff was friendly, delivered our cooked food to our table, and cleared the table immediately after we got up to leave. I would normally give this place four stars, but it was very hot outside, and with no air conditioning, it was uncomfortably hot inside also. I don't know if this is a permanent situation, but I wouldn't return on a hot day.

They have a large grill area and serving station for the Mongolian bbq. We may come back to try that item. This visit we ordered the house special pho and the house special egg noodle. Was also happy to see that the shrimp pieces were large and properly cleaned. They had the crispy chili oil as a condiment on the table which was great because I love crispy chili oil and was able to use a generous amount. Overall a good solid meal. We always make the drive out here almost an hour every time as we're not from the area. Last week, there was long hair in our chowmein. We didn't see this until we ate it at home and it was buried underneath everything. Disgusting. Today, we ordered their vegan popcorn chicken and it was EXTREMELY SALTY. As in very, very salty. Like the chef went crazy and doused the entire batch with MSG. It was SO SALTY that it was inedible. Only ate a few pieces. We tried to like it but couldn't eat it. It raised my blood pressure immediately and had to stop eating. We returned it for them to remake it not salty. They were nice enough to do so. Had to wait an additional time for them to remake it. However, the second batch wasn't as bad as the first one, but was still on the salty side. The first two times we've been here it wasn't salty at all. I'm not sure who was cooking today, but they went crazy with the salt. The second batch was still bad, we didn't want to wait another 20 minutes for a redo so we left. Needless to say it ruined the appetite and barely ate anything. Also, the vegan popcorn chicken wasn't consistent the last two times we ate here. Last time the texture was different and it looked different. It was either cooked differently or was a different brand that they used. This time, it was EXTREMELY SALTY. Cooked twice and was still salty. We've been coming here to support the small business, but not sure if we'll be coming back anymore because of this. It's been inconsistent every single time. Not to mention the hair we found in our food that we forgot to mention to them today 8/1/26.
