We came here for the cute aesthetics but the service was horrible. We made a reservation, but still ended up waiting. We understand that restaurants get busy but when we were seated the server did not come to our table for at least 20 mins, maybe even more. When it came to ordering our food, another 30 mins passed by til she got our order. We received our food faster than it took waiting for our server to take our order. Our drink took pretty long to get to our table as well, I wish I would've had my drink first so I could've drank it while we were waiting. The food was okay, my toast was very hard to chew. And it's pretty pricey for what you get. I'd be down to give it another try if I was in the area. read more

While a good spot if you're just going for some fun cocktails and vibes, the food was just ok for the price and the service was pretty lackluster. We ordered a few of the appetizers and pizzas, and everything tasted good, but nothing really wowed us. One of our pizzas just never came, and the waitress said she'd take it off the bill, but later on I realized we still mistakenly got charged for it. The service was also painfully slow, with the waitress only coming by every 30-40 minutes. The ambiance is pretty fun, even if the music can get so loud that you can hardly talk to your table. The cocktails are also pretty good, and should really be the main reason to go. Overall, if I had to describe this place, it's like a basic white girl's instagram page wished upon a star and got turned into a bar. read more

Very cute and instagrammable place. Alot of space inside and outside. There's also another small bar in the back. When I went on a weekday during happy hour it was pretty empty. They do have happy hour so make sure to ask for that menu or else they won't mention it. We ordered a few tapas, mushroom pizza, and a large flamingo drink. The drink is cute but it was not strong. Especially for a giant drink. The food was not that good either. The best item was the lamb meatballs. I think this is a place to go for the vibe but thats about it, don't expect great food. I really, really wanted to love this place as I adore flamingos...but, at brunch, worst Spaghetti Carbonara I've ever had in my life (and I'm 63yo, so I've had it a lot). Cute vibe, service was good, though quite a limited menu - but $20 for a small plate of weird tasting pasta was not good. The bacon they used was some type of chunky stuff that I did not eat due to the odd taste (even if they used pancetta, it was still bad tasting), and I love bacon. The entire dish may also have been over-peppered - but a dish that only consists of butter, bacon, parmesan cheese, eggs, garlic, salt and pepper - it's hard to mess up - I've made it at home, it's easy. I didn't send it back because there wasn't much to choose from and I hate making a scene. Then my husband's avo-bacon Benedict was a bland, small two-star dish with bland potatoes, too. I rarely write restaurant reviews, but this was so unsatisfying (his) and bad tasting (mine) in a cute atmosphere that I had to write. I think it gets by on being a big, cute, open patioed bar one block from the beach. We didn't have drinks, so I can't speak as to whether it's a good spot for cocktails, but don't come strictly for the food! read more

I like the vibe of this place with the lounge outdoor seating and high top tables. The food is great- I loved the pizza, steak chimichurri, and fried chicken sandwich. Definitely on my list for hot spots to take friends visiting out of town. read more

Super disappointed. Place is super cute very Instagramable BUT that's it. Drinks no alcohol at all. I order the drunk in love , it was all red bull , the glass cup super cheap, the food super disgusting. The tuna crudo wakala! presentation is all and this item gets a zero. Looks soo disgusting omg No! The potatoes no bueno. The fried calamari was OK but kinda hard. Is all looks for the picture for the gram. Not worth coming at all. Been here twice, had a grand old time, tipped like 30% on a $400 and $250 tab b/c of the great service. Gary was impressive, holding down the bar with the team. The food here is fantastic, had the Caesar salad, to the crudo, duck legs, crème brûlée and a few other items and they were fantastic! I like their champagne selection and even enjoyed some of their pricier champagne. I roll into here last night, sitting at the bar for 15 minutes still waiting for one of the 3 bartenders standing in front of me to help me - not many people were inside and I decide at this point I'm going to complain. The manager came out and told me, well it had to do with where I was sitting at the bar. Any normal bartender that isn't blind should know how to work the bar properly and make sure everyone has a drink after 15 mins. He really had no good answers. read more

I love Flamingo Deck! It has delicious drinks and the venue is so cute and girly! It is a great place to take an Instagram pic! The workers were super friendly and seated us right away! The bartender gave me and my friends two free shots! He was super cool! We ordered the flamingo drinks and shared it with my girls and they were so good! We also order food and the food was good, but it's mostly appetizers so eat a full meal before you go! They play music and it's just a fun place to go to! We held a surprise 70th birthday for my sister here a couple of months ago. Mercedes, the event manager, was such a pleasure to work with and was genuinely helpful in making it a great success. The food was delicious and she even made a personalized menu of cocktails. The Speakeasy room worked well for the surprise as it's not noticeable when you walk in. Very cozy with changeable colored lights and its own bar. There's a screen available that we used for a slide show. Had the best time here the other day! We had 6 in our party and were seated right away. Our server Steve was so attentive to our table. He was helpful in recommendations for food and drink! We had the Hips Don't Lie and Tiramisu Martinis. Best drinks ever! He also recommended the pizza and was even able to get us a cauliflower crust for it. Flamingo is one of my favorite places in pacific beach for food, drinks and ambiance. The place is such a vibe. We ordered the meatballs, Caesar salad, and the spicy salami pizza and it was all 10/10. I definitely recommend the espresso martinis!!! Our server Steve was the absolute best! I absolutely love this place. The decor and atmosphere was perfect, especially for a picture loving person. So many cute little props to take and place on your IG. The food was delicious, the drinks were amazing. Menu is limited but a variety of options to choose from. I decided to taste the Caprese salad and oh my goodness... it was so yummy. The only thing I wish the meal would have came with is garlic bread. We decided as a group to order the Drunk in Love flamingo bowl. The drink was tasty but could have used a little more alcohol for the price, definitely was shareable between the 4 of us. Staff was friendly but do wish the server was a little more attentive. My friends meal was never brought to the table so as everyone else was eating the noticed it wasn't put in. They did offer to put it in and have it as a rush but at that time my friend decided to just cancel and we all shared our meal. The French fries are amazing. Wow. Booked this place for my daughter's birthday. 25 girls on a Saturday night. This place was awesome. Because we had so many guests, we worked with Mercedes (event planner). She was amazing and added so many special touches, like personalized drink menu with my daughter's name. I preordered the food and the guests ordered drinks off the special menu. Mercedes understood how we didn't want the guests ordering all over the place (to keep costs in check). The place definitely has a younger vibe which suited my daughter and her friends perfectly. I would normally say it's not my crowd (I'm over 50) but after tasting the food, i know I'll be back. Seriously, the food was amazing. I have found that younger bars don't usually know how to make a proper mixed drink, but not here. The bartenders were on top of their game. Definitely check this place out. read more

This place had a nice vibe, i like their aesthetics with the pink flamingoes and the neon pink bar. It has potential to be better. The parking situation was spectacular, as I am one who drives around a huge truck so trying to find parking in busy areas is hard, there is an underground garage. Just turn right at the stoplight right next to the restaurant and you'll see it. I recommend taking the stairs to go up the plaza because the elevator looked sketchy. The restaurant will also validate your parking, just ask one of the guys at the front before you leave. Like the other reviews have said, it was really loud inside so I had to scream so my boyfriend can hear me the whole night. The food was really good, we got a bolognese and a chicken piccata. My bolognese was a tad bit too salty but overall really good. And the gravy on the chicken piccata was tasty. The drinks were good too, and surprisingly cheap as well compared to other places. I just wish there were more options for food. Overall it was nice place to try, just wouldn't come again. read more

Very cute and pic worthy aesthetic for visitors and locals alike! I prefer to visit in off peak hours when the music is a little quieter and space less crowded. Very important to note that I've never had a bad experience with staff here, always very friendly and accommodating. Everyone recommends the tiramisu martini, if you order make sure it's at the end of your meal/night - it is SWEET. Menu standout for me is the whipped ricotta (ask for extra pepper) with sourdough. I inevitably get asked to go here whenever out of town visitors come in; but it's also worth going at least once if you're local. read more

This place was disgusting. I don't write reviews but I came here with two friends, all women of color. The staff was attentive to everyone but us. We got sat around 1 and got handed dirty cups. There were clearly stains on the cups. The guy who gave us the cups was the only one to give somewhat service since he at least brought us water. We watched the server sit and talk with the bartender instead of doing her job and serviced everyone else while we just sat there waiting. We decided to leave around 1:45 because we got sick of waiting. Once we got up was when she started walking in our direction. I believe the manager of the place, a white woman, condescendingly said "thank you ladies" as we walked out. She clearly knew we were upset. We watched for almost an hour while everyone got serviced but us. read more

But when the rest of the bar gets fully ignored by staff and you have to watch them gawk at the young girls instead of offer a drink or even bring a check, it's pretty annoying. Eaten here a few times now and keep wanting to try new things because it's always good. Tuna Crudo is awesome. Both their tuna dishes actually. The fish melts in your mouth. Roasted carrots are phenomenal. The crispy duck leg I've gotten twice now it's delicious. Chicken piccata is like none you've ever had before. Can't wait to have it again. Bolognese was decent in my opinion. Tiramisu martini is bomb. Key lime pie i wouldn't get again it was mostly cream and not so much lime. So far though, my visits don't disappoint! read more

Very college-like venue. Love the ambiance but it's located in the heart of PB and the music is extremely loud I could hard hear the person I was with. More of a bachelorette party type spot (there were three different Bach parties there when I went here) not really an ideal date spot. Came for breakfast, the eggs Benedict were runny. I also asked for standard bacon for my eggs Benedict and was given Canadian bacon instead. The avocado toast was basic, nothing out of the ordinary. Do not go!! I understand this has been a tough year for restaurants. However, they had more staff than they had guests yet the bartenders were still difficult to get their attention. I think the staff feels they're in some sort of "cool club"? Because all they do is stand around talking to each other and not the guests. The menu is so random. The interior of this place is super cool/trendy. Especially if you're wanting to take cute pictures with friends. However, the food is mediocre and over priced for what it is. The drinks are really good and if you order a pitcher its served out of a huge golden flamingo- which is super fun. Much like the other reviews the music is so loud. To the point where I was screaming to my friends across the table. Also, the few times I've been, this place is understaffed (which is probably due to the situation with the pandemic). I always feel bad for the servers who are literally running around the restaurant. With that being said, the staff has always been friendly and handled the busy crowds really well. Probably the only instagram photo friendly spot with both good vibes AND food! This place is super lit from the music and decor to the bathroom. They have indoor tables and outdoor attached with a cabana style seating. The place is flamingo-themed with tons of spots for a photo op but also seating in comfort. We ordered the Mushroom Pizza, Squid Ink Pasta, and Cesar Salad (not pictured) The mushroom pizza and salad are a 10000/10. Our only complaint was the music but that can be fixed with great conversation. Unrelated but this is place gives off Hollywood/90210/Bachelor cast vibes. read more
