A great place to relax and have a drink! If you like karaoke that's the place to be, because I think they have it at least once a week.

The place was crowded but could still get a table. I got the "Syndicate" ... great blend of sweet and spicy. I planned on trying something else but it was so good I went back to it again. Highly recommend.

Blue neon arches, a huge underwater mural, plush chairs and low tables along the back wall. Worth the detour. Chris was working the bar on his second day and greeted us like a regular. I skipped my usual Manhattan and went with the Smoke Break, bourbon with bitters, smoke and black cherry. He nailed it. That is the one I would order again. Kudos to Chris for making the smoke linger and make the drink taste fantastic. I had this one in Oregon and it was cool but Chris did a better job with his method that really did serious justice to the name. My wife wanted the Cucumber Cooler, but they were out of cucumber. She pivoted to Sauvignon Blanc, and they were out of that too. The wine list runs four whites and four reds, so there is not much room to maneuver if the cocktails are not your thing. Chris read the situation, offered up a Paper Airplane since she wanted something refreshing, and put it on the house. Classic good bartending. It was louder than expected for how few people were in the room. On a Saturday with a DJ, music and dancing, I would guess the volume gets close to a rave. Go Tuesday or Wednesday if you want to hear the person across from you, and you will probably catch them fully stocked. My guess is weekends clean them out. Cocktails run 16 to 18 dollars. There is also a 300 dollar tequila and cognac number called La Maria served in a glass rimmed with gold dust, if you have something to celebrate. Happy hour is Tuesday through Friday, 3 to 5. They are on the ground floor of the Waymark apartments at 121 Pringle Ave with a small patio out front and heaters. Great spot to hang out and talk with friends, and a good pre dinner or post dinner stop rather than a destination for the whole night. When those doors shut you are transported somewhere neat. I would go again.

I got there walked up to the bar was not greeted by the bartender. I wanted to buy a cocktail and yet no one helped me so I sat outside for a little bit went back in still no help so then I went to a different place and only came back because I wanted to be around the music. When I came back, there was a lot more people music was playing, and I sat at the bar waited for the bartender for over an hour, and there were two behind the bar. They totally just ignored me. I was quiet I wasn't acknowledged at all I tried to raise my hand to get their attention and they just totally acted like they didn't want to be there and we're just helping the people they knew it was a horrible experience as I talked to a few of the locals that go there they said that yeah the bartenders are not very friendly unless they know you well then why the heck would anybody want to go there? I was very disappointed and that will be the last time that I go there I will take my business and my friends to the local spot around the corner. The drink that I finally got because a man had to wave down the bartender and said she's been waiting wasn't even made correctly. It was a simple, three ingredient drink, and yet a bartender he screwed up. I did not complain. I let it go. I paid my bill, which was higher than it should've been and I still tipped well, even though I probably shouldn't have tipped because he did not deserve it because of the service and serving me not what I ordered, but that's not me so I tipped had my cocktail talk to a few people and left. That will definitely be my last time ever going there.

True to his word there are hundreds of common and rare game mounted on the walls beachside identified with a plaque. There are photos of the hunter and owner of the place from the hunts he made in Africa. Aside from the attraction, the saloon type space has a cozy warm environment. The greeter and waiters were all very friendly. Unfortunately the catfish sandwich which was described as a "Delta favorite" deep fried and with a remoulade dressing was less than stellar. For $24 it was a very small catfish fillet, that seemed more pan fried and had some meager lettuce, onions, tomato and maybe there was some butter on the French roll. The roll was very soft as if it had come out a plastic bag. Wasn't toasted and overall bland. I expected a sandwich similar to a po-boy with classic corn-meal crusted catfish. This was not that. On the menu the sandwich came with a choice of fries or salad. The waiter offered onion rings as well which sounded good. The onion rings were huge but the batter was almost cake-like. Tasted like pancake batter and was so thick it was basically fried dough though there was so much batter the inside wasn't hot or crispy. Partner's French dip tasted fine but was also fairly small for the price over $25. The garlic fries were decent. Crispy and sticky with whatever garlic sauce was drizzled over. This is the kind of place I'd recommend to get a drink at the bar, look around at the animals that made this place notable, but find a meal elsewhere.
