We were going to go to maggiannos but after going to ulta we saw this heavenly place and I'm so happy about it. I got the bacon cheddar burger and fries with the trio dip that you can choose from. We got garlic aoli, tsatziki, and the flamme sauce all were good but the garlic aoli i could just drink. The food is seasoned to perfection and the burgers are made with sirloin, brisket, and short rib! We indulged in the bananas foster milkshake that i want to bathe in as it was delicious! This is our second time coming here. We live in Illinois but we are about 15 minutes from St. Louis, MO. Everytime we come to indy we have to leave with some flame burger. The service was very good and the food was also very good... especially the milkshake and fries. However, the prices are way too high for this type of food (especially the $8 shake). There is a fine line between raising prices due to costs and raising prices just because you can and the customer, of course, has no view of these details. Also, the restrooms were absolutely unacceptably bad. Clean them, have acceptable lights and provide paper towels and trash cans. Ordered naked wings to go with the chipotle bbq sauce and a blue burger and added grilled onions for $25. The fire cooking is a nice concept but it's too much scorching fire taste going on instead of tasting the chicken and the burger. Kind of costly $11 just for a burger and nothing else. Burger was salty and too much fire ashy taste. Wings were better than the burger but some of them wings were huge like that big ole nasty church's chicken wings. Whole grain bun is way too big for the burger. They are filling you up on bread. My burger was made incorrect at first and no apologies for error, customer service needs some improvement. The restaurant had plenty of workers but no one is cleaning the dirty tables or the dirty bar. I'll pass on this place. Not impressed. read more

Truly the best wood fire grilled chicken sandwich in Indianapolis. Our server Natalie knocked it out of the park!!!

The worst service ever!!! After driving 25 mins away to visit this restaurant, my wife suggested an option date night before mother day weekend. After being seated we waited additional 10 mins to review the menu. After giving them are order we waited for 40 mins! We looked around to notice other large parties that were seated received their food. I then found our waitress that never came back to check on our table, ask for an update of our order she went back to check with the ticket to see where are food was. To our surprised we notice her alarming response once she was speaking to possibly management. No one came back to our table to give us a update to our order, after sitting there an additional 10 mins, are waitress was helping her other table with orders and no manager to give us an update. Unfortunately we were completely upset and very unprofessional behavior from staff for not speaking with us. This is one restaurant is no longer an option, the problem is they were not that busy!! read more

tl;dr - This is a place on the North side that is open past 9p (!!) that isn't primarily a bar, and it also happens to have really good burgers. Also surprisingly inexpensive given all of this. I've been here about a half a dozen times since they opened this location, and I think I get more into it each time. Here's the pitch - wood fire cooked burgers + chicken sandwiches, salads and some oddball but good shareables. ..and there's a full service bar with a decent draft list, but it's a restaurant first and a bar second. The burgers are solid. ..better than solid. This place has bumped Matt the Millers as my favorite burger place up here. I don't know what the meat blend is. They just say "Angus", but I suspect it's mostly Angus chuck with maybe a little sirloin. Comes out super juicy. And hey, this place can cook to temp and are actually good at it. My medium is always medium. There are a ton of toppings and you can create your own setup. Prices seem crazy low for this caliber of burger. most are 10 or 11 bucks. an extra 6oz meat patty is only $3! One thing I'll note - as I've been working through all of the burgers on the menu, a few haven't been what I expected. The "filet burger" was actually a filet mignon on a bun! .. for $12! I was expecting the regular burger patty dressed up like a filet with the horseradish sauce or something. Similarly, the Goliath which sounds like a pretty standard double cheeseburger came out with a middle bun, like a big mac on steroids. The other thing I really wanted to mention here is that the service is really good. The crew seems consistent and are always really friendly. The manager _always_ stops by our table and checks in to make sure everything is good. The team seems pretty diverse too, which I really appreciate. As far as things that aren't amazing here.. Fries are really the only side if you don't want one of the appetizers. The interior is kind of cheesy. The name is pretty weird. Staff all call it "Flame burger", but there's really an extra M in it. Like, is it supposed to be "Fla-Mmm-e burger" or something? Also, there's a pretty good chance you'll leave smelling like a campfire thanks to the wood fire grill. All that said.. This burger makes your mouth water the Moment you walk in the door! They have a patented wood stove that creates a heavenly aroma throughout he restaurant. We've been at least a half dozen times since it opened and have tried most of their burgers. None have disappointed! They are juicy and prepared exactly as ordered. The meat is gently shaped so the burger isn't too dense. They have a great selection of buns (including lettuce wrap). Their fries are fresh cut and delish as well. I had the BBQ burger with fried onions jalepenos and cheese and was pleasantly surprised to find fresh peppers that added just the right amount of spice. Any place that serves Diet Dr Pepper gets an additional star in my opinion. Not that this place needs one. Our group came in for lunch at the recommendation of a co worker and we were not disappointed. Everyone left with a full belly. The burgers were so good! I so miss having a Flamme Burger by our house since the location in Whitestone/Zionsville closed, but we will make the drive to the Keystone location to get the city's best burgers, fries and salads. The signature Flamme Burger is the best burger I have had anywhere, nationwide. The bourbon burger, truffle burger and wagyu burger are excellent as well. The fries (especially if you get the garlic or truffle aioli) are awesome. The southwest chicken salad (or any chicken sandwich or item on the menu for that matter) is so flavorful and delicious. The management and employees are great and nice/family friendly. My kids love Flamme Burger too...it's become a special family outing for us even just to get take out. So good. It's located close to my house, and I love a good burger, but I originally thought it was a place that you place your order at the counter and then sit down and wait on your food. After aimlessly driving around downtown Fishers trying to find somewhere to eat, I decided to give Flamme a try, and I'm glad I did. They have several locally-brewed drafts on tap, and the counter service was prompt and efficient. I had a small BLT salad, which was excellent, along with a Cheeseburger and House-Cut fries. Typically I don't like Flame-Grilled burgers as much, but this burger was pretty good. The fries, while not as crispy as I like, were very tasty also and came at a value price of $1.95! The beer was cold, the service was awesome, and the atmosphere was relaxing. Flamme doesn't have the best burger in town, but if you want a great salad with a burger and beer, I highly recommend it! read more

My wife and I were looking for a great place to meet our family on the north side and Flamme Burger came up. It's in a great place, really close to Ikea and Top Golf. They have fantastic food, you won't be disappointed if you are looking for a great burger on the north side of Indy. Things to know before you go: - The Angus & veggie burgers are fantastic. You should really pay a lot more for this good of quality. - You order at the counter, so it's not 100% a sit-down restaurant. - They have a great selection of beer. - They have gluten-free buns that taste amazing! Not crumbly or dry. - Double your order for Truffle Parmesan Fries, they are amazing. - It can get pretty busy, so just know that going in if you are in a hurry. - Handel's Homemade Ice Cream & Yogurt is down the road, this is a great way to follow up dinner. The only real complaint my table had was about the restroom situation. With it getting busy you have to wait in line quite a while as they only have two single-person bathrooms. We had Flamme Burger for the first time today and we will be returning! The atmosphere, service, and food were terrific! Atmosphere: Very welcoming. Good for a small group or large group dining. There was actually a very large group there when we were. Service: I believe Madeline was our waitress. She was quick and very attentive. We received our food unbelievably quick for how busy they seemed to be with almost all the tables full. The manager also stopped by our table to see how the food was! Food: Absolutely AMAZING! The zucchini fries are a MUST have appetizer! My husband and I agree that they are by far the best zucchini fries we have ever had. For entrees- we had a very hard time choosing, but I had the bruschetta burger and my husband had that wagyu burger. Both were very flavorful! I'm not a huge burger person and I was very happy. Noise level moderate - we were able to catch up with friends & talk shop no problem. I rarely like brioche because so many are overly dense but this was perfect. Husband enjoyed his Flamme Burger so much, he insisted we would revisit later in week to bring friends. Regular fries are ok but the Truffle Parmesan are much better. They're light on the truffle flavor, so if truffle is not your thing, there's a great chance you'll love these for their parm amazingness. Service is attentive and patient about explaining their in-house special burger mixture. Torry shared that all of their bread options are local made & they have the BEST GLUTEN FREE BUN IN TOWN! Seriously, we brought friends later that week & my gluten-free BFF has tried every GF option around. Hands down, these are so delicious & have great texture... she said a non GF diner wouldn't know. I didn't really see the the value and unique taste/service/atmosphere for the price. If I'm in the area and I'm hungry for a burger, I might try it again. Then started telling us about the bar specials - I let him know we wouldn't be drinking but if they had Kombucha we'd take one of those.
