This was our first absolutely terrible meal at this restaurant. We were frequent guests, and have always enjoyed our food until today. We asked for crispy hashbrowns, and they came to us incinerated to the point where they were almost inedible. we ask for a pecan waffle, which came to the table so cold it wouldn't melt pre-softened spread. The customer service was poor both in terms of the promptness of delivering our meal, and in terms of recognizing us at the door and seating us. With Two other tables occupied, and three waiters it took more than five minutes to be seated, it took more than 20 minutes to get our food. The jus for the prime rib sandwich was burnt. This was made up for by the cold, stale bread and the raw roast beef. We don't plan to give this restaurant another chance, we heard some conversation about a new location being opened and wonder if this location has new owners. We also noticed that the signage had changed from "Flapjacks and More" to just "flapjacks". read more

Fast, Filling, and cost friendly! I've driven by this place for years, and finally stopped in. Glad I did. I ordered the Denver omelet with Hashbrowns, and flapjacks. An absolute great place for a wonderful standard American breakfast. It's not a large place but it moves quick. I had the hash Benedict and it was plentiful and tasty. The hash was excellent. I have been craving waffles for 2 weeks now and this place filled that void! The staff were so friendly, and they did not short us on coffee refills, they were constantly making sure our cups were full on this freezing day! The strawberry and blueberry waffle was very good and fluffy, enough fruit to have with almost every bite. Sausage links also tasty, my husband's mascarpone stuffed French toast was delicious! The toast was not that flimsy thin stuff. Both filling meals. They do not come with sides so you must order sides (sausage links) separately. I loved the oldies music playing as well, our waitress was so sweet she asked if she could take our photo for their Facebook and so we could have a photo for memory keeping as it's Valentine's Day and I'm obviously expecting soon so this will be one of our last dates with just my husband and I! :) I can't wait to come back! read more

I happened to meet the owner of this restaurant during a round of golf. Great guy. He told me about his restaurant where everything is made fresh. It's a breakfast, brunch, lunch place. My wife and I went just a couple of days after learning about it. The food is great! My wife had the eggs Benedict Florentine. Huge portions! Go hungry. I had the Flapjack Special #1 with pancakes, eggs cooked to order, bacon and sausage. It was all great. And my wife knows that I like fresh squeezed orange juice in the morning, which we buy at a local grocery store. She suggested I have juice before going, thinking Flapjacks wouldn't have fresh squeezed. I told her I didn't think that was necessary since the owner told me everything was fresh, and he didn't disappoint me. They have wonderful, fresh squeezed OJ! Was a Friday around 9am. Place was maybe 1/3 full. We had a party of 4. Food was a tad better than run of the mill but not enough to matter. Eggs ordered Medium-style were super runny on one order. Hash browns ordered very crispy for 2 of us came back very crispy to a fault as in black and uneditable and very dark and just tolerable. Otherwise food was mostly warm not hot not cool but all would have preferred the served temperature warmer. Food taste was fine bacon mostly was ok with a few pieces slightly under done. Pancakes were smallish for the price. Service was marginal. We were seated quickly then contacted about 5 minutes after being seated. Food was delivered as ordered. Followup after delivery was non-existent. Someone finally came around after we were mostly finished with eating to check on coffee. Room fill by then was perhaps 3/5 full. Servers were capable but a bit stuck up. Ambiance was plain Jane, noise was tolerable. Menu is fine but nothing special. I would have thought there would have been much more attention to having a large variety of pancakes but no. One in our party asked about getting chocolate chip pancakes, server looked a bit befuddled and finally said ok for additional $0.60. One of our party had the stuffed French toast. Said it was fine but again nothing special. Perhaps here we have a pretty good idea left at the door with the business' name sign rather genuinely applied to the menu and experience. My opening week lunch experience was very good. I liked that any breakfast or lunch item was available at any time. For my early lunch I selected the turkey sandwich with choice of side ($7.95). It was served with a smile in just ten minutes, and was generously sized, with a large portion of moist, tasty, premium turkey breast and fresh veggies. Nice! The only reservation I have in writing this review is Flapjacks gets too crowded for me. This is a simple review. GO!!!!! I have ate here five times and have always been pleased, elated and even happy I ate here. The meals are great with good portions and better prices. The thing this review will address is the staff which is awesome. The owner and spouse run this little gem. You will get a visit from one of them during your meal. They are happy to be in business and seeing everyone. Our waitress was always happy to help. An example of their helpful service. I was packing up the leftovers ( you will have them ) and poured a little of the fresh syrup on my flapjacks. A different waiter saw this and ran to the back to get me a to go container of syrup. My husband and I usually come here 2-3 times a month. This is our favorite breakfast place that we have found (and we've tried quick a few) I tend to switch things up and want to try everything on the menu, never have been disappointed. My latest addiction is the Philly cheese steak with sweet potato fries! My husband is all about the country fried steak, he gets it 99% of the time. The people who come to buss the tables are so friendly! As well as the men that always seats us. The waiters could be a bit more friendly but the experience over all is an enjoyable one! 10/10 recommend to everyone!!! read more

This place has good food with big portion sizes. I love their eggs Benedict's! Their hollandaise sauce tastes just a little different from most places but it's sooooo good. Went with a group of 5 today for breakfast. They were very busy! Despite the crowd, we had prompt service and frequent coffee refills. Management and staff were very welcoming and attentive. Portions were huge and very reasonably priced. Our group got, and thoroughly enjoyed, the #1&3, bacon cheese and veggie omelets, & eggs Benedict. Though I enjoyed the #3 (French toast, eggs, bacon, sausage, and juice) I'd try an omelet (with pancakes and hash browns, so much food) next time. We also saw someone get a giant breakfast burrito which looked delicious as well. I will definitely be coming back, although I will try to come earlier and beat the crowd! read more

This place is awesome for late breakfasts! It super casual, with a total warm and fuzzy breakfast restaurant feeling. Even though you can get lunch items as well. The staff was very nice. Our server was on top of everything. We came iN late. Like a half hour before they closed and it was totally chill. The owners take great pride in this place. Everything is nice and clean. It's a great place for meet ups. You can work and have some yummy biscuits and gravy, or stack of flapjacks or a sandwich. I will definitely be going here for business meet ups. I had the Hawaiian omelette with hash browns and flapjacks. I Sub'd the Swiss cheese for smoked Gouda . The flapjacks we're very good and so was the omelette. The hash browns were crispy without being overdone! This place is locally owned and they make everything from scratch! More reasons to support this new brunch spot!
