Disappointed after using Flash Movers, I decided to go with them and hoped they would be the best due to their high ratings. First issue: I was scheduled between 10am-10:30. Received a call saying they had a mix up and will arrive around 2 or so hours. They arrived at 1:30. Two guys show up and I tell them exactly what to do and they listened and packed everything right it seemed. Once I got to my place, I heard a big slam on the floor, I asked what happened and the guy said it was okay and nothing was broken. Eventually they finished and headed off. As I unpacked I noticed all my dishes were broken. When I went outside to my garage I noticed they left my pole outside and didn't even tell me about it. I took my pole inside and noticed I was missing a piece. I then call the manager and he kindly found it and returned it to me. But as I unpacked the next day that's when I noticed my dishes. My experience with flash movers as not the greatest! Yes. Angel the owner communicates well with you and is very helpful. They say no hiding fees but show up with a small truck to move a bedroom apartment! They get 2 stars for customer service over the phone and the movers did do a decent job. Was pleased with my previous movers but something was telling to contact other companies-that's when I found Flash Movers. These guys were fantastic movers! They wrapped furniture with cellophane that needed protection. Did not complain about stairs and just looked at it as exercise and part of their job. They were careful to not cause damage to anything and did not. Once we got to my destination they moved around some furniture for me and even swapped out a mattress. It was all very easy for these professionals. I have never had such a fun easy move. I was laughing the whole time as their sense of humor was down to earth, honest and fun! I told him I will be moving things from a 5 bedroom house to my pod and a third floor two bedroom apartment. He told me I would need 4 guys for that size house. There were no hidden charges. The guys actually arrived 20 minutes ahead of schedule. They moved swiftly, carefully wrapping furniture, and taking it down to my pod and loading the rest into their truck for the apartment. I sold my townhouse a year ago and of course tried to find cheap movers. Called someone else based on their advertised price just to be told another rate when I spoke with them. My father found these guys and was quoted cheap hourly price so I decided to go with them. They're courteous, and they're careful with your belongings using paddings, etc. I was also informed that since I'm moving from one zip code to another, I could use my moving expenses as tax deductible. I am a stickler when it comes to being prompt so my only criticism is that they should have informed me ahead of time that there will be a delay due to unexpected circumstances to the appointment prior to mine. Things happen and I would have totally understood . But despite of this and the obvious tiredness they were feeling at that time, the job was done. Unfortunately, they ran out of gas at the end and it was getting dark so I felt bad but also felt relief it's over so I tipped them $20 each. It was dinner time anyway. read more

We used Flash Movers for a move between two homes in Chula Vista this week. They loaded 60 boxes, and some large furniture - including a grill, 9-foot sofa and multiple dressers - in under 5 hours. Angel and his crew stuck to every work of their contract. Four guys showed up on time with two large trucks, working hard and carefully to get our precious items loaded and transported. I don't leave many reviews, but had to share the fantastic experience I had with Flash Movers. I called and spoke with Angel to schedule my move just 2 weeks in advance, and they accommodated my specific move date/time frame. As promised, they gave courtesy calls upon arriving to my old apartment and prior to arriving to my new apartment. Very clear communication, extremely organized, no hidden fees. They were also extremely prepared, arriving with numerous blankets, wrap, bungee cords, boxes, and an appropriate sized truck for my move (plenty of room to spare). They were unable to provide wardrobe boxes upon arrival, but immediately acknowledged this and offered a 5% off discount for any inconvenience. Update: I just moved into my new place from when these guys packed it... they took the cord off my couch. No reason at all for them to do that and now it is nowhere to be found. They also took my couch apart and bent the metal pieces that held it together. This couch was almost brand new when they came and took it apart to put it in storage and now if I can't find the piece that connects it into the wall, it's useless. So now I'll probably end up having to buy the missing piece. They also put tape on my wood furniture. It's been sitting in storage for seven months, so guess what happened when I went to take that tape off? If you didn't guess the tape ripped the wood off. Another piece that was almost brand new that is now no good. They also took my beds apart and put the screws in random places. The new movers (Qshark moving company) actually found the screws to the beds in the bottom of one of the nightstand drawers. For what they charged me, how long they took, and the fact that they forgot to take some things is absolutely ridiculous. Then getting home from a deployment and realizing they damaged a lot of my things and took things apart that didn't need to be taken apart... I will not EVER use this company again. The owner is very nice, but his workers need to do better. If you're looking for movers, go with Qshark. They did the move in less time, were polite, and helped with stuff they didn't even need to. I feel bad because the owner is a good guy, but he needs to hire better workers. read more

We had an interesting situation since we needed our condo emptied, then drop off the big stuff at storage, and then drop the rest of at the in-laws. (We are living w/ the in-laws while we house hunt.)They were, on time, gentle with our stuff, and did not mark up the walls or bump our stuff. Not only did we have two unloading points, but the condo was 3 floors, and the parents house is 2 floors. They are my heroes! I would leave 10 stars if that was an option! These guys are freakin incredible! Just closed escrow on my house and angel and his partner were at my place in two days. They were on time, professional and courteous! I have a house filled with Asian and Tibetan antique furniture hundreds of years old and not one piece was damaged during the move. Everything was shrunk wrapped or wrapped in blankets. They got my entire move done in just over 3 hours! I would not hesitate to use them. Finding the right mover is scary since you're trusting strangers with your most personal belongings and you don't want your house or furniture damaged but these guys really came through!!!
