We found this place on our way back from the beach. It's the perfect spot right off of I-10 so easy restaurant to have lunch heading to or from the beach. The seafood is fresh. The fish was flaky and crispy but needed more seasoning. The fried shrimp tasted like home definitely fresh and local! The onion rings were soft, the batter falls off and needed to be crispier. The restaurant was EXTREMELY clean and uncluttered. I loved the blue ocean floor. The service is super friendly with a small town charm! Googled best catfish in Biloxi and this place came up first. It was DELICIOUS!! Catfish was nice size and really good white meat! Battered lightly but nice and crispy. Fried green tomatoes were soooo good! Order came with 5 and they were really fresh and hot. I didn't care for the sauce they came with but you could always ask for Ranch. Or eat them without. They're that good. Fried okra was good and the French fries (sidewinders) were too! We split the catfish dinner because it had five pieces of fish and the two sides. About $22 for that. This was our first time eating here. I've driven past it often and made a point to go there on a family dinner night. The interior is nothing special; just cheap tables and chairs. They had local artwork on the walls, which was nice. All in all, we got two fried shrimp platters, a chicken sandwich, cheese curds, alligator bites, and a fancy cat. My wife got the chicken sandwich. It looked unappetizing to me. She later said Wendy's chicken sandwich is better. The cheese curds were good, as was my fried okra. If you're keeping score, we wouldn't order any of these dishes again My fancy cat wasn't fancy at all. Three thin pieces of catfish and around 5-6 shrimp on a plate. The sauce was on the side in a plastic cup. The sauce was very mild, to the point I couldn't taste it, but my wife could, so it had some taste to it. Overall, now I know why I always see in the parking lot. There is no nearby competition; just like Taranto's restaurant. Our bill with one lemonade and no drinks or dessert was $125. Higher than what I felt the food was worth. The 14oz ribeye (which I did not get) was $48. That's Saltgrass prices. I don't mind paying for quality food, but overall this was a swing and a miss. Hubby wanted cat fish so this was the place to be. There was a tb flashing dishes on the screen and that's how I chose my meal. Red beans and rice with sausage with a piece of cat fish on top. He had a full catfish meal. Both came with hushpuppies. Fish was fried right, drinks pretty good. The rice and beans were delicious and a great choice. I tried this place when they first opened and was pretty disappointed by the portion sizes for the price point. Lots of social media posts reflected the same thing. They have since fixed that, but I know it put off a lot of people and that's a bad way to make a first impression. I withheld reviewing the place, but It would be many months later before I went back. My 2nd time going here - their second chance - wasn't much better. You get more for your money and the food is decent, but it's mostly just fried stuff. There's nothing exclusive on the menu, and that's a problem when the service was just awful. To be fair, it seemed like they were shorthanded in the dining room. There was some kid just moping around taking photos with friends and occasionally being helpful while the waitresses ran around like crazy. Our waitress kept complaining about the tablet she had to use to take orders, and stuff got mixed up or forgotten. You could tell nobody was running the floor. We finished our salads before we ever got our drinks, and never got refills. The food came out pretty quickly, so the kitchen was on the ball. I had a shrimp and catfish combo, and both were good though quite greasy. The shrimp were well cooked but the catfish fell apart because of how it was all piled up on a small tray with no breathing room. Bottom line here is if you want a bunch of fried seafood, go down the street to Taranto's or head over to Dewy Dew Bugz in D'Iberville. What an amazing find! This place is off the beaten path, but it's well worth the trip. The food was absolutely delicious and incredibly fresh. We started with the fried pickles, which were crispy and flavorful. My husband ordered the seafood platter, and it was packed full of perfectly breaded seafood. He couldn't stop raving about how well-seasoned everything was, especially the scallops, which were cooked to perfection. I had the Alfredo with blackened chicken, and it was seasoned just right--rich, creamy, and full of flavor. Decided to check out Flatheads down in Biloxi. Walked in on what appears to be a very off night, all the tables are in a large room but are all very spacious. The list of problems was long and I don't want to kill them that much. For starters, they had two young girls working the tables and were clearly overwhelmed. We waited about 45 mins for an appetizer and received them without any plates or even utensils. We got the buffalo wings, good size but we've obviously have had better. I got the all you can eat Catfish dinner while my wife got the gumbo which she did not enjoy, neither came out together. I finally had enough and went over to the bar room to alert the bartender who luckily saved the day as he took charge of us for the remainder of the night, great gentlemen with management potential. It's a shame because I really enjoyed the catfish but it's clear this was an off night, another local couple said it's never this bad so we will chalk it up that. read more

I am a regular customer here and enjoy the food. I have introduced many friends to this hidden gem. Unfortunately, I will never again visit and will actively discourage anyone from patronizing. I brought my 23 year old son and his 22 year old girlfriend who are visiting me to a restaurant I thought they would enjoy. I entered the back which I have always done and was rudely humiliated in front of everyone by the server. Let me point out that neither my son or his girlfriend drink alcohol nor were any of us wanting alcohol, but the server insisted on seeing their IDs. We came straight from my house and because they had no intention of ordering alcohol, they did not have physical IDs. Being of their generation, their identities are all on their phones, which they are accustomed to showing and accepted. This server extremely rude and loud in refusing them, even though none of us was ordering alcohol. While I understand regulations, there is absolutely no need to humiliate customers. And by the way, we went t a nearby bar and restaurant and ordered a delicious meal without incident because we DID NOT order alcohol. Again, I'm all for regulations, but it was the way this server executed the enforcement that was humiliating to us all. I will never visit your restaurant again and will share this encounter. read more

We went to have dinner there tonight and were thoroughly disappointed. We ordered chicken wings and specifically asked if they were pre-baked and then fried or just fried. We were told they were just fried. We asked for blue cheese for the wings also. We also ordered onion rings. The wings came out very quick which surprised me since they're supposed to be just fried and not pre-baked and then reheated again. The onion rings were greasy and the coating fell off completely. The wings definitely tasted pre-baked or old. The blue cheese dressing was so watered down with something else that it didn't even taste like blue cheese dressing. We were told there were eight wings in the order and six were in the order. Way overpriced for six wings, especially since all the food tasted awful. We will never be back! read more
