    Fried pickles
    Michele S.

What an amazing find! This place is off the beaten path, but it's well worth the trip. The food was absolutely delicious and incredibly fresh. We started with the fried pickles, which were crispy and flavorful. My husband ordered the seafood platter, and it was packed full of perfectly breaded seafood. He couldn't stop raving about how well-seasoned everything was, especially the scallops, which were cooked to perfection. I had the Alfredo with blackened chicken, and it was seasoned just right--rich, creamy, and full of flavor. We couldn't resist taking a slice of cheesecake to go because it just looked too good to pass up. We will definitely be back! !

Get the fried Oysters. They're lightly breaded and seasoned so perfectly. Not overcooked, not overly breaded, not greasy. So super good, I nearly cried. I also enjoyed the fried and grilled catfish. The food was excellent, and the service was even better. Worth every dollar.

Decided to check out Flatheads down in Biloxi. Walked in on what appears to be a very off night, all the tables are in a large room but are all very spacious. The list of problems was long and I don't want to kill them that much. For starters, they had two young girls working the tables and were clearly overwhelmed. We waited about 45 mins for an appetizer and received them without any plates or even utensils. We got the buffalo wings, good size but we've obviously have had better. I got the all you can eat Catfish dinner while my wife got the gumbo which she did not enjoy, neither came out together. I finally had enough and went over to the bar room to alert the bartender who luckily saved the day as he took charge of us for the remainder of the night, great gentlemen with management potential. It's a shame because I really enjoyed the catfish but it's clear this was an off night, another local couple said it's never this bad so we will chalk it up that.

The food was delicious. Service was quick on a Thursday evening for dinner. Our server was friendly and quick. There was no music and the noise level was low. There were several tables full.

We hate crowds more though and some days We just didn't want to rush. We ate here multiple x because it was right in our hotel. Was the food as great as The Toasted Yolk? nope Was it good enough to start a slow morning yep!! The servings are big, the food while nothing fancy is adequate to start your day, the place is not crowded and in a tourist town that's a plus right there. My favorite was just a simple fruit plate with yogurt and granola. Don't forget the Moscato:) The grits were good too!! Hubbie got the biscuits and gravy with sausage and my son pancakes. We also ate supper there one night I got the mushroom burger sans bun , my hubbie the catfish platter, and my son the Philly cheesesteak. The waitresses were nice and worked hard. Would I come again yes! Would I make a special trip here no! If you are staying at the Palace though and don't want to traipse to places for breakfast or Supper. Give this place a chance ! But they are a bit anal about you sitting the proper way -saw them get on a guy cause he moved his chair . It's not that serious Stacked . Otherwise it's a good enough place to eat a standard, filling breakfast

Is it even a proper vacation in Biloxi if you don't give this place a visit for breakfast? The answer is NO !! When your motto is It's never too early to get toasted!! You are talking my language and that's how you start a proper vacation day:) We left Alabama in the wee hours of the morning to get here before they opened. We ordered at 7:04 am . A grapefruit mimosa for me and two Irish coffees for my husband and son. My son pretty much gets the same thing everytime an Arnold . This time it was a West coast Arnold w/ hash brown casserole . He ate it up!! I got the Dragon fruit pancakes 2 pc . Man one pancake was plenty and yes they are as big as the plate. Hubbie got the pork chop breakfast . On the 16th (our leave day) I got the (2)Strawberry Hibiscus Spritz and my son got a Cappuccino cooler. Hubs had to drive back home so he just got a coffee. Hubbie got the chicken and waffles , I got the yolk lovers breakfast with cheese grits ( When you are in the South Grits must be eaten at least one meal of the day) and my son got his Southwest Arnold again lol! My son looked at his mug and said I want one . Yes they sell them for 31.99 eek a bit high for my blood but He bought it himself. He has been using it everyday since We got back home. He said He will probably buy another in July. It's a solid breakfast place and enjoyable if you get here before the crowds. By 9 it gets packed quick be an early bird -get toasted -and Have a great start to your vacation!!

PATRICKS (Ocean Springs)…read more If you haven't tried Patrick's in OS you're missing a true OS Gen of a locally owned upscale restaurant. The restaurant is located in a tiny little 100 year old cottage tucked away on School street. When you walk in the door you immediately think wow this is cute but very small. There are about 20 tables or so. Small bar area and a tiny kitchen. Don't be fooled - these folks know how to bring the flavor. That tiny kitchen rocks. we started out with drinks. Hubby had the old fashioned which was excellent. We ordered sautéed crab claws which have the essence of New Orleans bbq shrimp with all that delicious butter and lemon. Next came our salads. Salads were typical but the homemade dressings were the sho for the salads. I ordered the Squash, Crab and Shrimp Casserole and my husband had the crab stuffed triple tail. We both ordered the drunken greenbeans which are excellent. So good I'm going to try to make them myself. Dinner followed up with homemade family bread pudding recipe which sadly we had to bring it home with us becaus we were both so full we couldn't eat another bite. Our service was excellent. The ladies are so nice. Our bartender made sure our drinks never ran empty and we had two amazing servers who ensured everything came out in a timely manner allowing us to finish's one course before bringing out the next. Everything was prepared as we ordered it and came out piping hot. This little place has won a spot at our top five restaurants on the gulf coast for special occasions. Although I will say we just popped in yesterday wearing jeans and flip flops. No requirement to dress up but I'd you want to make it a fancy occasion that would work too. Our entire meal for wine, old fashioned, salad course , two entrees, side dish, and dessert was $166 plus we left a nice tip. Highly recommend Patrick's. You won't be disappointed.

We went on day that unfortunately was raining; so we time it out when the rain stopped or slowed down. It is nice little restaurant. They mainly offer takeout only. They do have dine in sorta. Is not an inside but a few picnic tables with a cover. The cover is not big enough to block the rain. They have plenty of parking. It is located in small shopping center. As we arrived and walked up. The smell of something delicious brewing! They unfortunately just only accept cash. The menu is conveniently posted on the wall and very easy to read. We just had few people in front of us. I opted for the fried oyster and fried fish (swai) platter. We had to get a shrimp poboy. They are well known for their sandwiches. We also got an order of onion rings and Shrimp Lo Mein. She said our order will take a while. She gave us a buzzer. She advised us we will buzz you when it is ready. We waited in our vehicle. As we paid for it. Just happened a crowd of people showed up. It actually did not take that long to cook. On the way home the smell of deliciousness filled the air. The oyster and fish platter looked amazing and tasty. It came with a small cup of potato salad, roll, cocktail sauce and tartar sauce, hush puppies and a generous amount of crinkle cut fries. The shrimp poboy was large with plenty of large shrimp. It came fully dressed (mayo, lettuce, tomatoes, and pickles) Large order of onion rings. Order of Shrimp Lo Mein. Very tasty! All were so delicious and amazing! Besides the weather. Recommend making this your next takeout meal.
