I ordered the crispy cauliflower app which was delish! Don't let the raisins sway your decision - it's suttle but just right with the cauli. They add a romesco sauce that's flavorful add capers to add the salty goodness. Loved this! I also ordered the meatball app which was plenty. They were perfect size and more than enough for two. The sauce was rich and bold with flavor and a sprinkle of goat cheese was just right. I will return and try a few more apps next time.

The food was pretty good. I started with the tortellini soup and had the French toast from the Brunch menu. For drinks, I tried the pineapple mimosa, but it was warm, which really affected the flavor. I also ordered an espresso martini, and unfortunately it had an artificial taste that I would not recommend, especially for the price. One issue we ran into was the number of flies around our table. Even though we were seated inside, there were several constantly circling, and one ended up landing in my water. Our waitress tried to help, but the problem continued. Overall, I enjoyed the food and the service, but I would come back for the food only and not for the drinks.

Wow, if you are in Raleigh you definitely have to check out Crawford & Son. When you arrive parking…read moreis pretty difficult as the restaurant is located on person street. You'll want to park on a side street and walk up to the restaurant. When you walk into the restaurant you'll be transported to a dark, warm, intimate, and buzzy neighborhood vibe. I'd definitely recommend booking a reservation to ensure you are able to get a table. Once we were seated I started by ordering the Long Time Listener Cocktail (Bourbon, Blackberry, Mint, Fernet-Branca) which was excellent and probably my favorite drink of the evening. For my other drink I tried the Structured Settlement (coconut washed tequila, peach, popcorn orgeat, and lime). This drink was also good, but not as good as the long time listener. For food, we started with the Manchego-Herb Biscuits which were flaky, soft, and didn't need any butter. After that we tried the Heirloom Tomato Salad (provencal granola, mozzarella ice cream, and peaches) which was perfect. The large tomato with the crunchy granola, olive oil, and mozzarella and peaches were the perfect blend of flavors. I couldn't stop eating this dish. Next, we tried the Half Smoke Sausage (roasted peppers, garlic aioli, balsamic onion jus) which surprised me. The sausage had a bit of a spicy flavor, the roasted peppers were prepared perfectly, and overall the flavors paired perfectly together. We also ordered the Bucatini (sea urchin, gulf prawn, spicy tomato sauce) which was good with the pasta and all of the flavors mixed together. The last appetizer we ordered was the yellowfin tuna crudo (honeydew, Fresno chili, shiso, tom yum ice) which was perfect. The sliced honeydew with the raw yellowfin was so good!! For the entree we split the Grilled Bavette Steak (potato rosti, shishito pepper, and sauce choron). The steak cut like butter and was cooked perfectly. For dessert we ordered the blueberry upside down cake (popcorn streusel, sweet corn ice cream) which had fresh blueberries and I couldn't stop eating this dish. I'll have to add Crawford & Son to my regular Raleigh restaurant rotation as this meal was excellent. Looking forward to my next visit.

Was really impressed by the hospitality of the bartender Toulson (spelling?). He was super friendly, knowledgeable, and gave me detailed recommendations. -- The Hamachi Crudo was so bright and light. I really enjoyed the puffed rice on top and the basil ice complemented the dish well. The grapefruit added some nice acidity and the little crunchy bites were the perfect texture contrast. The pieces of fish were large and thick. -- The Manchego-herb Biscuits were awesome. One order comes with four small biscuits. Crust was flaky, the inside was soft and moist, and the flaky salt was the cherry on top. -- The Seared Duck Breast was phenomenal. The duck was juicy and tender and salted well. The skin was thick, sooo flavorful, and melted in your mouth but I would've liked a little more crispiness on the outside. I enjoyed the mix of fresh vegetables and warm cooked vegetables served with the dish. -- The Lemon Yuzu Tart was a nice bright and rich dessert. The tartness comes from the jam on top of the tart but it doesn't overwhelm the dish. The creme brulee style top was a nice touch. The buttermilk ice cream was more on the icier side than creamy. I really enjoyed all the dishes I tried here and am looking forward to my next visit.

When you arrive you'll want to have your name added to the list with the host as Stanbury doesn't take reservations. We added our name to the list and had a cocktail outside while we waited. I ordered an old fashioned while we waited for our table. Our table was ready and wow this restaurant is so cool inside. Walking in you'll be transported to a hip, moody, and highly energetic vibe without it feeling pretentious. We sat in the room with yoda painted on the wall. We ordered several small plates including the Bread & Butter (Boulted sesame pan loaf, GA cultured butter), the Raw Oysters (2 O'cock, NC, 2 Mookiemoto, ME, and 2 Lucky Charm, PEI), NC Tuna Tataki (ponzu, zucchini namasu, sweet pepper, bonito mayo, chive), the Beef Tartare (pan con tomate, shallot, caper, paprika aioli, peppers, olive), the Fried Oysters (cucumber, daikon, carrot, spicy mayo, cilantro), the Crispy Eggplant (peach muhammara, heirloom tomato, yogurt tahina, mint, urfa), the Crispy Pig Head (beluga lentils, bacon, poached egg, mustard crema, arugula), and the Roasted Marrow (parsley, shallot, caper, Boulted toast, Maldon). Out of all the small plates my favorites were the NC Tuna Tataki and Raw Oysters. The other plates were also good and definitely worth trying. For our entree we split the Grilled Ribeye (heirloom tomato, shallot, basil, Cana de Cabra, Boulted levain) which was perfectly cooked and seasoned, fell apart, and was my favorite part of the entire meal. Lastly we ordered the Peach Tarte Tartin (roasted peach, pastry, corn, mascarpone, basil) which we both weren't fans of. I'd probably skip the dessert and go for an after dinner drink. Overall, Stanbury was a fun and mind opening experience of how so many different flavors/dishes can come together. Excited for the next time I stop by Stanbury.

We got the scones (I would recommend the honey and chive butter, she preferred the sweet cinnamon sugar). We also split the French onion Mac and cheese. I love that they use cavatappi (sp? - corkscrews) so the sauce is in and around every noodle. The crisp onions on top provided a perfect crunch! We also split the crab and avocado sandwich with house salad. The house salad dressing was amazing as was the crab and avocado. It was so good I asked for a catering menu for my next event. Thankfully, our amazing service was Gabi, who manages all the catering. Such a great experience on a lovely afternoon.

The décor is absolutely stunning, and the service was excellent. We visited during Christmastime and truly loved the festive decorations. Our drinks were perfect and well-crafted. For dinner, we shared the chowder, which unfortunately was underwhelming--the croutons were the best part. We then ordered the chicken, salmon, and mashed potatoes. The salmon was dry, the chicken was on the bone with very little meat, and the mashed potatoes were surprisingly disappointing. I even took them home hoping I could improve them myself. I will likely return to the Tea Room because I enjoy supporting local businesses and genuinely like their drinks and small bites, but I would not come back for dinner.

Plenty of tables and making a reservation was easy and they were accommodating. I had called in advance to make the reservation for a birthday dinner and we had a little happy birthday sign on the table as soon as got there which was a cute gesture. The menu has a bunch of different things which I really liked. And a few cocktails and mocktail options. We got a few drinks; the Apple Jack, the Mexican herbalist, cinder & citrus, and a few basic drinks. They were pretty good. For apps, we got the fried mozzarella and the ahi tuna wontons and they were both SO good. For mains, we got the lamb shank, the chicken francese (which was the best one) and the beef medallions, which was a little sweet but was fine. For dessert, we got a few. The best was the apple galette, but the Oreo cheesecake was pretty good too. Ashley was our server and she was alright. We asked for bread and she hesitated to get us some. She told us that there might not be any left but she'll check. She ended up getting us some and informed us that that was the last of all the bread at the restaurant. It was only 8 pm but it was alright, it was enough bread, I guess. Once we got drinks, we asked for some extra lime. She got us some, and once again, informed us that that was the last of the lime in the entire restaurant. Odd commentaries that were unnecessary and seemed like a fib. Every drink came with a lime, and some dishes needed lime. Didn't seem like it was even possible to be out of limes. The commentary was unnecessary and seemed like she didn't want to serve us. Even if some of the comments were true, it was unnecessary and made it Seem like the restaurant did not have enough ingredients which isn't a good look. Towards the end she was polite and more accommodating. Food was good and the vibes were nice, the service could've been better.

We stopped by on a Sunday morning and the place was buzzing--I'm guessing many diners were coming from church. Thankfully we made a reservation because every table seemed to fill up quickly. To kick things off, we each ordered a refreshing Lone Rider wheat beer along with two appetizers. The Shoestring Okra Fries were a fun twist on a Southern classic--crispy, lightly seasoned with chili citrus seasoning, and even better dipped in the tangy lime mayo. We also shared the Artichoke Dip, which arrived bubbling hot, creamy, and perfect for spreading on the toasted bread. For brunch, we went with two very different dishes, and both were excellent. The Asparagus & Mushroom Omelet was fluffy and packed with flavor from the goat cheese and pickled onions, while the buttery biscuit with jam on the side was a nice Southern touch. The Fried Green Tomato & Bacon Benedict was the standout of the meal. Crispy fried green tomatoes, perfectly poached eggs, smoky bacon, and rich hollandaise came together beautifully without feeling overly heavy. We couldn't leave without one more treat. The Strawberry Kiwi Margarita was bright, fruity, and balanced with just enough tequila and a zesty spiced citrus rim to keep it refreshing. To finish, we shared an Affogato, the perfect ending with creamy ice cream and a shot of hot espresso. If you're planning a Sunday brunch in Cary, make a reservation--you'll be glad you did. We'll definitely be back to explore more of the menu.
