Anything less than 5 stars is ill suggested. Flavorshack focuses on 2 core items: chicken and ribs. They create easy dishes that are full of excellent flavor. They keep the side dishes simple and easy. The ribs were cooked perfectly that were tender and juicy but did not "fall off the bone". If you know ribs, they're supposed to be tender but you have to have some bite into the meat. Flavorshack: prefect. The sauce was magnificent. It was just barely on the sweet side and the "after bite" is where the subtle heat/kick came into play. The chicken was masterfully breaded and fried. The breading had just a very small kick to it...enough for you to enjoy the flavor. Juicy. And the grilled chicken was spot on. Had a nice grilled flavor with some pepper flavoring. Just perfect. Thick, juicy chicken. Side dishes, as said earlier: simple, yet flavorful. Our party of 6 all had a different dish and we walked away extremely satisfied. Service was great, and from kitchen to table was short. Flavorshack lives up to their name! My husband and I each had the half rack of ribs last night, so delicious! I also had the pimento cheese grits and baked beans, the sides were as wonderful as the entree. We were very pleased and are going back tonight to try the salad, WITH A SIDE OF PIMENTO CHESSE GRITS...because they are amazing. We also ordered a piece of chicken (medium heat ordered). It was really good, loved the crust but I will have to back the heat down to mild next time, but I have a low tolerance for spicy foods. read more

I ordered the ultimate bacon cheeseburger on my first trip and a chicken sandwich the second time. The ultimate bacon cheeseburger was awesome. Bacon coming off the sides, and more bacon than I have seen on any other cheeseburger. The chicken sandwich was awesome too. It was a big chicken breast, and tasted really good. This place was so disappointing. With a name like "Flavorshack" you expect a lot more than you get, so you're basically set up for disappointment. My boyfriend ordered the tenders and while they weren't bad, they were no different than some freezer bag tyson tenders you'd get from the grocery store. I got the chicken pot pie because it said it came in a "creamy sauce" Yeah, no. It was basically chicken soup with a crust on top. It wasn't even good chicken soup either, it was incredibly salty. Also, chicken pot pie is supposed to have a crust all around it, and this only had crust on top. I would never go back here ever again. They should change their name from flavorshack to basic-shack. read more

I went during the week after the lunch rush. The staff seems unprofessional, but they were all very young so I was willing to give them the benefit of the doubt. It took 15 min for a chicken sandwich and fries and the girl that brought it out didn't seem to know which customer she should give it to despite the fact that my receipt had a number on it. I ordered the chicken sandwich medium heat with cheese and a side of blue cheese dressing and fries. When I finally got my order, my sandwich was plain, no cheese and no dressing. The food is okay - definitely bland without a sauce or heat. Spend your $10 for a spicy chicken sandwich at Chick-fil-A and it will be better and you'll get better service. read more

Their Nashville hot chicken sandwich isn't overwhelmingly spicy and the sauerkraut adds a nice extra crunch. It is pretty greasy and I would only recommend going during busy hours to get it fresh because the bun can get soggy. I was hyped to try their Nashville Hot Chicken (someone said it was better than Rocky's Chicken Shack's); got it to go...when I opened up my box, there was no hot seasoning on it (I had asked for 'Medium' and hope this wasn't that...next time I will just ask for the "What The Cluck?" level). The chicken was good but seemed in some places slightly overcooked. Had a good amount of breading. Not too greasy (they sit it on a piece of bread to soak up grease, which is great). Will have to try again and see if it's as good as everyone says. read more

The first time we tried Flavorshack we ordered to go and we were so surprised by the quality and incredible flavor of the food. We have eaten there two more times since and we have been so pleased each time. The food is amazing, the flavor and quality is top notch. The service has been great every time, they have such nice staff. The managing partner has helped us two times and he is such a nice guy. I can not recommend this place enough, it is so good. I had this two day in a row and quite opposite ends of the spectrum both days. Yesterday the fried hot chicken was spot on (5 stars) but today my two thighs and breast had obviously been sitting around and refried. They came out extremely dark brown and the breading was soaked with so much oil you knew it was refried twice. The meat was hard dry an ineatible. No worker in here should let food arrive to the customer like this and I dissappointed. Won't be back due to the lack of consistency. read more

Buyer beware!! While the food is reasonably tasty, you will pay more than you suspect. The menu posted on the internet has prices associated for each item, but it is a 'bait and switch' operation. Once in the restaurant, the prices advertised on their menu are higher than listed on the internet menu. But wait; it gets worse. Once you order, the prices you are charged are higher than listed on the menu in the restaurant. While I don't have a problem with a restaurant raising prices in this day and age, I believe you should be honest and tell your customers what you are planning to charge them before they decide what they are willing to pay for their meal. Sounds either a bit shady or more likely just the owners being lazy. read more

Was amazed by the size of the chicken legs and thighs. The medium heat was not nearly as hot as regular heat in Nashville but the flavor of batter and chicken was delicious. Mac n cheese, beans, Cajun slaw were very good sides. The potato salad was in serious need of seasoning. I will be doing more 'splorin'. read more

My wife and I enjoyed a really outstanding meal tonight at the FlavorShack that opened only a short time before the Covid-19 closings. They are serving inside now with good health controls in place. I had a half rack of hickory smoked honey glazed ribs. Very good. My wife had a fried chicken breast with really tasty crust like I remember from my childhood. For veggies we had black eyed peas, green beans, pimiento grits and for dessert, as good of banana pudding as I have had in years. Beer and wine to boot. I had the best experience with take-out order. I ordered several things with one plate that ended up missing an item. When I got home I realized item was missing. I called and the manager drove to my house with the item. Food was great portions were larger than expected. Service was beyond what I could ever expect. I work at the CVS minute clinic as a Nurse a practitioner down the toad from flavorshack. I typically go out to grab food on my lunch break and I have passed this flavorshack countless times but never dropped in. Today I decided to try it out and let me tell you, the food was AMAZING, I had the southern fried chicken breast with medium seasoning on toast with gravy and two sides (mashed potatoes and Mac and cheese). Everything I had was so delicious and I can't wait to try something new for lunch from there again. I will definitely be spreading the word to friends and family about flavorshack. Best fried chicken I've had since moving to South Carolina two years ago!!! Also the kitchen manager Krystn was so nice and running the register when I came in, she walked me through their menu since it was my first time there. Great atmosphere and great staff. If I could write this lower I would; however, the service was great. In total we had chicken fried chicken one thigh, one leg, mac & cheese, black eyed pea's, baked beans, potatoes salad, & fries. The chicken seems to be cooked in either old grease or just in a particular type of way that is not appetizing. Sadly, all of the food lacked flavor or was just nasty.
