Last minute road trip led us to staying at this motel with Fleetwood attached to it. We had dinner on our last evening at Fleetwood and were pretty disappointed. The service was not great. One of our entrees was not correct even though the server confirmed after taking our order. By the time my order was corrected my sister had finished eating. The manager was very professional and friendly. However, the server never came back to check on us until we had to pay. The food was good quality, but the server was not up to par. We came to realize this property is under a transition and hopefully they work the kinks out as the location was great! read more

Fleetwood was an absolutely amazing experience. I can't recommend this restaurant enough! The wine selection was great, with many nearby vineyard bottles, and everything paired so well. The restaurant is in the middle of a really cute hotel (Calistoga Motor Lodge) and has a very modern and welcoming feel. Chef Mina was absolutely amazing and it was evident she cared about the items on the menu and providing the best experience possible. We order the Beesting pizza with pepperoni, sausage, and hot honey, and a side of braised short rib pasta. If you're near Calistoga, you should definitely visit Fleetwood. read more

Working in Calistoga can consist of long hours, especially when you work for one of the most amazing hotel resorts in the world. And I will admit, Fleetwood became one of our go to's after work as it 1) avoids touristy prices 2) offers high quality food 3) shares a lively and family friendly ambiance and 4) has an wonderful team. If these aren't enough to get you to go, let me share that the foods come out in a much more timely manner than you think and will always lead to great conversations with you and the people you dine with. I cannot rave about one thing without raving about another. And their seasonal items are a must try. One of my personal favorites is their burrata and pickled vegetables. What a good find. Again, thank you Yelp! We were spending the day in the Napa Valley and wanted to eat somewhere we haven't eaten before. We found this place through Yelp. It's a little hard to find because it's not a stand alone building but is in the same complex as Calistoga Motor Lodge. There was plenty of private and curbside parking and the place is huge. There's a lot of tables inside and even more outside. You can definitely smell the smoke from the wood fired oven. I ordered the chicken breast on polenta, onions and spinach. The chicken was so tender and really well seasoned. The onion was really sweet and the polenta was creamy really good. My wife ordered the salmon with fingerlings on cauliflower cream. The salmon was cooked medium well (what my wife wanted) and it was tender and seasoned nicely. The cauliflower sauce was also foos as it added a nice flavor. Our side order of Brussels sprouts was ok. It was cooked nicely but we didn't particularly like the way it was seasoned. Overall a great experience. We recommend this place. read more

Absolutely unacceptable experience at Fleetwood. This place is irresponsible, dishonest, and completely dismissive of dietary restrictions and food allergies. I ordered a pasta dish called Pulpo, which was described as having tomato, basil, and extra virgin olive oil--nowhere did it mention that Pulpo means octopus in Spanish. When the dish arrived, I was shocked to see it covered in octopus. Since my partner is vegetarian, we had to go through the hassle of ordering an entirely new dish for them. Even though I don't like octopus, I decided to eat just the pasta rather than waste food--only to discover after taking a few bites that it also contained pork, which was not listed anywhere on the menu. This isn't just an issue of poor communication--it's outright dangerous. What if I had been allergic? What if someone with religious or ethical dietary restrictions unknowingly ate something they absolutely could not have? A restaurant that refuses to disclose major ingredients is a lawsuit waiting to happen. When I brought this up, both the waiter and chef separately didn't apologize or take any responsibility. Instead, they blamed me for not knowing what Pulpo meant and for not somehow assuming the dish might contain pork. As if that wasn't bad enough, the chef repeatedly asked, "Do you want a discount or something?"--implying I was just trying to scam them for cheaper food. Then he had the nerve to imply he wouldn't do anything about it anyway because it was an expensive dish and they had already made it. To be clear, I wasn't trying to get a comped meal--I was trying to alert them to a real issue that could seriously affect others in the future. Luckily, I don't have dietary restrictions, but what if I did? Their dismissive attitude makes it clear they don't care. And after all that? When the bill arrived, they charged me for everything. No comped dish, no discount, nothing--just a full charge for a meal I couldn't even eat and a second dish we had to order because of their failure to disclose ingredients. So let's be clear: They don't list ingredients properly, they blame the customer when it causes a problem, they refuse to fix their mistakes, and they'll still happily take your money after ruining your meal. This restaurant is careless, arrogant, and completely untrustworthy. If you have dietary restrictions, allergies, or just expect basic honesty from a menu, stay far away from this place. I hope others don't make the mistake of eating here. read more

Unfortunately my $42 sirloin was a sad 4oz thin dry cheap cut of meat, for that price I'd expect the cut to be thicker, this was more in line of a steak dinner you'd get at Denny's with all the fixins for $15.99. My wife who had the burger said it was so bland and again the fries from a frozen sack was reminiscing of something probably from Denny's. It's strange that with a large kitchen and all the staff, why wouldn't fries be cut fresh daily. The service was polite and interior was inviting and clean. Beware when the server asks you for sparkling or still water, the sparkling is a $8 bottle of San Pellegrino, I though it was just sparkling from the soda gun. My fault. Really wanted to like this place... 1st time there. upon entering, the bar and dining area were very spacious and open. They have an outside location where you can listen to live music. The floors were hardwood, which contributed to enhancing noise, and they weren't all that busy. The bathrooms were so small! Unisex and the space for the toilets was maybe 24" wide. Good luck if you are a larger person. Service was prompt and courteous. They leave a carafe of water for refills. Looking over the menu found a few items of interest. We ordered a Spring salad, Roasted Asparagus, Fire-roasted meatballs and the Short Rib Tortelloni. The spring salad was OK, though Zi didn't have any of it. The asparagus was good. Had a bit of smoke to it, but many of them were only 1/8" in dia. which made them kinda hard to eat. The meatballs were cold. They were much smaller than what we saw in their Yelp photos. Just expected them to be warmer or actually hot. The Tortelonni was a mix. The pasta was perfect and the meat sauce was good. I found the short rib filling was dry and rather tasteless. I suppose I should say the review should be a 3 1/2 star experience, not 3... Perhaps another time we'll try again... read more

The brussles were great and I would recommend if you're already stuck going here, choose those. The pasta (Bolognese) was okay - way too much cheese (and I LOVE cheese - however it definitely tasted like the parmesan that is pre-grated and never goes bad), not so much sauce, and kind of bland... I came here a few days ago and it was not my first time here. I been here once before and the food seemed to be better the first time. This time I came for my birthday dinner and the service and food was pretty bad. I ordered a blackberry mojito and it was really sour and strong. I took one sip and could not drink more than that. I let our waitress Anna know and she didn't seem to care. Most places would offer a replacement drink or take it off your tab. Well not this place. $17 down the drain for a drink I never drank. And it was my birthday that day too. We ordered appetizers and dessert and it wasn't that great either. The best thing I had was probably the romaine salad and the cannoli. I would say I would not be coming back to this restaurant due to the lack of customer service of Anna. She didn't seem to care and barely even came to our table. I got a hen house Illuminate IPA. The beer was good. But my wife LOVED her cocktail, enough to get two. We started with a burrata with grilled peaches, watercress, pickled onions, and grilled bread. It was very unique and delicious. I got the rigatoni pasta with chicken. It was a good. My wife got the SPINACH & RICOTTA AGNOLOTTI with tomato, basil, garlic, and parmigiano. It was fine. Due to a small delay due to some mixup in the kitchen it took a little extra time to arrive at the table. The staff was extremely apologetic and sent us a wonderful corn appetizer as well as a tasty grilled peppers appy. The management and host couldn't have been nicer and more gracious. Was a warm evening but we enjoyed sitting in the outside seating area, near their pool. The metal chairs were uncomfortable, but the ambiance was nice - other than the sometimes screaming kids at the Calistoga Motor Lodge! It's a very small menu. We had the Burrata to start, which was good. The grilled peaches had a good flavor but were a tad too firm, and the sourdough bread was good but one piece was a bit too toasted and it was too "airy" - large open spaces! Then we shared the Rigatoni with chicken and mushrooms. It was good, light but not super tasty to me, although my wife really liked it. We had the meatballs as a side and they were VERY tasty with a nice spice sauce. Then we ran into a serious service hiccup - about 20 minutes went by before we could get someone to follow up for more water, dessert or the check. Finally someone not our server stopped - a very nice lady - and she was helpful and brought us the Polenta cake and comped it. We have had similar cake elsewhere and Fleetwood's Polenta cake was very bland. Missing something... Really a mixed bag of an experience and service is an issue a lot of places now, so we are somewhat understanding of that.
