Situated on 5th Avenue in beautiful Hillcrest, The Loft is a small, but mighty place that is near and dear to my heart for a variety of reasons. From the bartenders, to the patrons, and of course the drinks...this spot is an absolute vibe! Everyone is beyond welcoming and fun here. The space is a great combination of indoor/outdoor. The drinks are strong and well priced, which is not a combination you can find many places these days! They don't serve food, but they are fine if you want to bring your own, which many folks do. We have enjoyed a cocktail and UberEats'd something so we didn't have to leave. Overall, while I am not a San Diego local (yet), I consider The Loft my local spot. Love this place!

I will never come to Rich's again, they have allowed this club to be a place where thievery is a common occurrence and I don't think anyone should accept this. People deserve to have a night out without having to worry if someone will pickpocket them and people deserve to be safe when they are drinking and vulnerable. Rich's is infested with experienced and organized pickpockets. At best, Rich's is incompetent, complicit and turning a blind eye but it is likely that someone is involved and allows this to continue.

It was not busy. I will say all the patrons were white. We didn't think anything of it at the time, but another WHITE group came in and they let them sing; and right after, the Dj sang himself!! If patrons want to sing at an event you're a WORKER for, they should take president. I will NEVER come to this RACIST BAR AGAIN!

I think the event itself was organized well, but the event on the patron side was not. Everyone was just kind of shoving themselves in wherever they wanted, ticket or no. I also asked if I could use a seat for ADA, since I can't stand for longer then 10 minutes. Which they did provide, but it was at the back of the bar where everyone else was already sitting... I felt like an after thought. Which I get maybe it was chaotic, but the bar itself needs to have ADA in mind. There are some interesting people here, a really wide spread group. Some are nice, some are rude and so clueless I was stood directly in front of or hit by 3 different people while in my "ADA " seat. The floors were sticky from the moment we walked in. But at least it seemed cleaned otherwise. Staff at the bar itself were very nice!! The restrooms were ADA Accessible for sure. I have also been here for karaoke and another drag show. Karaoke is a rough one, I will never go back. Seems to cater to only a few. Drinks are good and just what I want. Overall I will have to stick with my usual haunts and start passing on this bar more often, which sucks, but it is clearly not the place for me.

Topped with bread that had seemed to be microwaved as it was toasted at one point earlier in the evening. The Well tequila was cheap and the margarita tasted like corn syrup.. I guess you get what you pay for when it comes to all you can eat spaghetti. I ate a little bit of what was on the plate. Overall, after spending $50, I would've been more satisfied somewhere else, or ordering food to my hotel room.

Because of that experience, they've lost my business. I can't speak to what the bar itself is like, but my interaction with the door staff was unprofessional enough that I won't be returning, and I wouldn't recommend it to friends.
