First time at Flight Burger, and I was very impressed with the large menu and delicious food. I am a big fan of the spiral fries. They are not like curly fries - narrow and spiced - but rather thick fries cut into a spiral. Definitely my type of french fry. The place isn't super impressive looking, but there are places to sit and overall it's has nice ambience for a low-key place to get a great burger and delicious beer on tap. Ordered lunch takeout from here a few weeks ago - it was our first time here even though its quite close to home. Ordering online is seamless and lets you pick a time for pickup. We ordered a Spanish Beef burger and Crispy chicken sandwich. The beef burger was good, the chicken sandwich could have done with less sauce - it was a little too much of the hot sauce spilling out on all sides. It tasted good though. Interesting concept. You get to order your burger exactly the way you want it ... protein, toppings, bun. My two teens, my wife, and I each got different things. We enjoyed them all. I couldn't stop talking about how great my California style chicken slider was. Spanish beef was also quite good. That said, be aware that this is an order at the counter, sit at the bar or the table, they'll bring your food out kind of place. (You can also do takeout.) The food definitely has a gourmet quality to it (along with gourmet burger prices). But don't come in expecting a full service restaurant. It's no frills with great food. We had lunch here today and sat on the patio. They have 3 tables outside with umbrellas which today was a perfect day for that. We obviously had the burgers. We got a classic and then 2 of the 3oz burgers. We asked for well done burgers and they still had quite a lot of pink but we ate them anyway. One thing we took advantage of was that they allow you to split your sides and get two 50/50 sides. So the options were fries, onion rings, mozzarella sticks and sweet potato fries. We got all of them but sweet potato fries and had I thought about it we would have tried them too. The fries are thick and odd shaped but tasted fine. The mozzarella sticks were good. However we did not like the onion rings at all. It was more like a funnel cake sweet batter which we didn't like at all. I always get ranch or honey mustard to dip my fries so today I got ranch and it wasn't that good. Seemed like store bought Kraft brand or something. I definitely prefer homemade over store bought sauces. The staff was friendly and you order at rhe the counter and then they bring your food to you when it's ready. They are in an odd location and unless you were using GPS and knew you were going there you might miss it because it's not easily seen from the road. I'd give this place 3.5 stars if it were an option. Their website want very impressive and wasn't helpful at all. I couldn't even see the menu prior to arrival. Have driven by this many times and finally tried it today. It is in an odd location, but easy to park! If approaching from the west, you will need to do a turnaround to get into the parking lot. Wondered why the name "flight" burger and now I know...each sandwich comes in a "flight" size or regular. Now where can you buy a burger for $7 these days? Here! I had the bomber which was 2 patties with cheddar, bacon, lettuce, pickle, onion and a special sauce. The Buffalo chicken sandwich was also selected and was great. Sides of sweet potato fries with apple butter and onion rings with a Cajun sauce were both tasty. Very small interior, seating maybe 30. I'm thinking my odds of winning at their trivia night could be good. Lots of other menu selections including lamb burger, falafel, boozy milkshakes and a number of draft beers. My wife and I love to try new places so we gave Burger IM a shot. We got there at 11:00 for lunch. I thought it was more of a restaurant with servers, but it's actually an order at the counter and go find a table kind of place. Here's one of my new pet peeves. Places like this that ask for a tip when you pay. I don't mind tipping servers, but this was basically the same as a McDonalds. I don't want to tip someone when I stand in line to order and I have to clear my own dishes. Anyway, I ordered a Big cheeseburger with no onions, and fries. What I got was a mediocre tasting cheeseburger with onions and french fries that weren't cooked all the way thru. My wife had fries and onion rings and at least the onion rings were ok. She said her cheeseburger was pretty good. Mine was just ok, but nothing to write home about. Two medium sized so-so cheeseburgers, fries and two drinks for $30. I doubt we'll go back. read more

Wow. Wife suggested this one for our Fun Food Friday (patent not actually pending). We packed the kids in the car and journeyed to the Carmel location. We were not disappointed. Food was delicious. Service was amazing - very kind and informative. Very clean and welcoming. Not a huge spot, but I don't see that as a negative. There are tables, booths, and bar spaces. They served sidewinder fries and did have a good selection of beers and soft drinks. Location - Very clean, modern Staff - Very friendly and know the menu quite well. Gave good assistance with answering any questions I had Food - I got the regular cheeseburger with Spanish beef on a gluten free bun. The burger was dry, flavorless, and had the texture of a school cafeteria burger. The bun was still partially frozen and crumbled with any touch. The fries were good, but not great. It was a nice change from normal fries (more like thick potato chips). For the nearly $14 I spent on the meal, I would have expected more. Summary - I normally give a place 2 tries to impress me. This visit did not. Tried this carry-out last night and it was really good! The big classic burger is solid -- especially for the price, it's yummy. We also got onion rings which were a touch greasy but still good, and twisted fries which I really enjoyed. I can't speak to service because we didn't dine in, but the guy I spoke with to place my order was very friendly and readily answered my questions about how to make sure I'm ordering a combo and what exactly comes on a classic burger (American cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion, pickle, and house sauce -- a blend of mayo, mustard and paprika). On the menu page of their website, there is a little info section about Halal options they offer. I assume this is directed toward a newer population in the area, and I always appreciate when restaurants try to be inclusive and show certain groups that they have something for everyone. As a vegetarian, I was happily surprised at the level of vegetarian friendly foods offered for a burger restaurant. I had an impossible build-your-own burger and my spouse tried the mushroom option. I decided to try this restaurant after reading about it in the Carmel Current newspaper. The concept of a flight of beers combined with a flight of smaller burgers was appealing. The restaurant decor is open & bright and the staff very friendly and knowledgeable. Seating available at outside tables & indoor seating available at the bar or table. We chose to eat at the bar & created a flight of beers from a variety of IPAs. Given the name of the restaurant, we expected a limited menu of different burgers-- we couldn't have been more wrong. I ordered 3 of their small sandwiches - the chicken and avocado, the all American burger and while I normally don't eat salmon, I couldn't resist trying the unique toppings on this menu item. The burger meat was juicy & cooked perfectly. The chicken was yummy too but surprisingly, the salmon sandwich was my favorite! The entire experience was positive. The location is convenient but located just south of downtown Carmel. In every category, this quaint restaurant exceeded our expectations! The only complaint I had (and working in the restaurant business molded me this way) is that the worker started stacking cleaning all around us with about 30 minutes of time left before they closed.
