Perfect spot to bring kids. The $10 deal for burger, fries, and drink is a great deal. They use high quality ingredients and it tastes great. My husband, nephew, niece, toddler, and I all enjoyed it. The portions are small but that's reflected in the low prices and honestly smaller portions are nice in my opinion. I would give 5 stars but the fries weren't my favorite (granted it had only been open a few days so that may change). I'll definitely return. Just tried this place today and it did not disappoint. The joint was hopping so there was a little bit of a wait but its no problem, just be patient when it's busy. Yes, portion size is a little smaller than what a lot of people are used to getting but the reality is, it's plenty of food. The average lardo American could stand to eat a little less if you ask me. Bottom line for this review is this, you have to pay a more for things of quality and food is no different. $10 for a good quality, local grass fed very tasty burger basket at Flip or $8.50 for a GIGANTIC basket at McBurger Jr.'s. Where the quality is subpar doesn't really taste like food at all, and the origin of the "meat" is unknown. Hmm...sounds like a no brainer to me. You can bet I will be I will be going back. The last thing Ashland needed was another hamburger but nevertheless I had high expectations. I've had two meals, both were taken to go. First experience (a month ago) I dealt with the prices and the size; but when you're hungry, you're hungry. Fries were tasty but the portion is laughable - I'm not a fan of shoestring style french fries and potatoes are inexpensive - Hamburger is a slider, visually very appealing and the protein was of a higher quality but seasoning and flavor was absent. Tonight one of my hamburgers was seared on the outside with a uncooked center and my girlfriend was charged for bacon, the information was on the ticket but no bacon. I would not have had to write a review but I guess this restaurant doesn't have a phone and that's bonkers. The best part of the experience is the bun. read more

I will go back and try it again after they have been open for awhile. I thought the burgers were just okay. Definitely on the small side and priced too high for what they are. They were fine but not overly delicious. If I am really craving a great burger I would rather go get one of Morgan's at NW Pizza, go to Smithfields or the Wild Goose, even Jaspers. Let me bottom line it - Awesome tasty burgers. Yes they are human size for individual consumption but perfectly cooked and dressed. Fries are crispy. Service is good. They have a few tables outside and good beer. Kid friendly. What more do you need to know? You won't get 2/3rd lb burgers with an onion ring and egg on top. You won't get a scantily clad waitress. You won't get a bloody Mary. You will get good burgers and fries. We've been there at least 10 times and will keep going back. read more

Loved the burgers, although without the sauce (too drippy). Fries are generally dark brown and somewhat soft, which works for me. Also quite salty, also works. Shakes are amazingly good, although I've only tried the chocolate. All drinks are on the small side, which probably works for teenage girls on a diet; I'd like something a little bulkier. A little pricey for the volume of food, but the quality is excellent. I'lll be back, as often as my cardiologist allows. read more

I ordered the Fries extra crispy with the flip dip (a must have), and it was delicious. I read a lot of reviews that the fries were terrible, but I didn't mind it. Maybe I'm not picky. We've been wanting to try Flip for awhile, because we consistently enjoy Mix (same owners). So, we went for it. I will start out w/this caveat: The hamburgers may be fantastic. We ordered a 'Shroom Burger with Oregon Blue and a Flippin' Deal with the Chicken Burger with Oregon Blue and bacon; both minus Flip sauce. The french fries were excellent. Crispy, fresh. The seasonal malt was peanut butter chocolate, and it was good. I was bummed, because the menu indicated All-Natural Fountain Soda (Boylen) for $2.50. I ordered one, and the gentleman handed me a Virgil's in a bottle. Now, Virgil's is my favorite soda, so that was OK, but it wasn't what was advertised. The man said their shipment was "off." The 'Shroom Burger was an unseasoned barely-cooked portobello mushroom. The chicken was an unseasoned breast--good quality, though. The bun, organic and made at Mix, on the 'Shroom was dry and stale. The one on the chicken was fresh and moist. I had Flip sauce on the side, and as advertised, it was plain ketchup and mayo, no other flavors I could detect. The atmosphere was casual, music a bit loud. As non-beef eaters, we wouldn't go back. read more

Really outstanding burger!! Cooked on the rare side - like I like it - and super fresh! Cooked while you wait, and there may be a line - phone order in!! Fries are so fresh and tasty, crispy! Two things to note: dining area is very small, there are few tables on street but lots of noisy traffic. Also, inside the music is a little loud and if crowded you need hearing protection. Flip was a FLOP. First it states that it is cooked medium. It was not. It was seared on each side but that is about as cooked as the TINY burger got. Think Sliders. The fries looked like they had sat out quite a while before they were fried (as they were significantly oxidized). I know it can be trying at times to make sure to keep things clean. It was obvious that they were struggling (the tables were dirty and looked like they hadn't been washed in a while). Good thing they had napkins nearby so I could at least sweep the stuff off our table. Service was a hit or a huge miss. Either have EVERYONE pick up their meal or deliver it to EVERYONE. I for one felt insulted that meals were delivered to everyone around me but my name was shouted from the front to have me retrieve my order :( read more

Avoid this place like the plague. Don't expect to get what you order, I have witnessed them what must be intentionally screw up someone's food. They will forget or pretend to forget that you asked for it a certain way. Then they will screw it up again a different way and make it out to be your fault. They don't even have a phone, what sort of ridiculous bs is that? The place looks dirty, and the customer service is terrible. Their owner is said to be an arrogant woman who would rather power trip that she can say no then to do the right thing for her customers. Their food is overpriced and often cold. Especially to go. They do not cook their meat in a sanitary fashion. The workers don't give a $#17 there so people shouldn't give one for their restaurant. It's not worth making a turd from.
