The sign outside is really cute though! Also the wall is cute too. I think since the place is pretty new, it was pretty sleek-looking, although not very clean. This place is pretty small, but I guess it gets the job done. There are some tables that are stuck to the ground and some counters along the other wall. As for the food, the burger was pretty small for its price, but I guess the quality was good. It's all organic, and all their sodas are home made! The burger is $6.25, and I also ordered fries which were $2.75. The burger bread was nicely toasted, and the meat patty was medium, quite flavorful. I wish they stuck more vegetables into the burger though, and I really wish the burger were bigger. The fries were good, but they all had different consistency; some were more fried, some were limpy. This is a great place with great style. They've got a nice menu simple straightforward and really delicious burgers. I love the texture that the lettuce offered the burger and I love the style that it was served in. Great place for a quick bite! We stopped in Ashland on our trip and picked up burgers, chicken burger, chicken strips and All were delicious! The chicken was tender and juicy on both the sandwich and strips which is often not the case. We also ordered the French fries and those were ok definitely need ketchup or a dip to make them more enjoyable. But they tasted fresh and homemade. This is by far the best burger place in the whole southern Oregon area. The quality is excellent and it's very consistent every time which is great. The milkshakes are probably the best I've ever had and I've tried quite a few places already. Update: They seemed to have fixed the fry problem because they were perfect on my recent visit -- crispy outside and soft inside. I still wish they'd offer Diet Coke. The burger was delicious. The beef was fresh and run-down-your-wrist juicy. The burger isn't giant, but it's thick and plenty filling, like Little Big Burger in Portland. The fries were pretty bad, though.Most places with hand-cut fries (Five Guys serves the best) slice them thicker, par-fry them, then fry again so the outside is crispy while the inside soft and tender. These looked and tasted overcooked but managed to be limp and greasy at the same time. Also, Flip doesn't serve diet soft drinks because, apparently, diet sodas are for unhealthy vulgarians. They lose a star for pretentiousness and uncomfortable seating. Otherwise it's worth going back for the burger alone. read more

I finally made it to FLIP in Ashland. So I ordered the house burger. I'll give FLIP 4 to start just because the have all of the things I consider essential in A Burger. Grilled bun, no excess of stuff. The patties are hand made, 1/4 lb, grass fed beef which, in my opinion, is small for the best burger. I prefer a 3 to 1 but it's not really a deal breaker. Turns out it's a fine size.I can see the grill man workin' the grill like he knows what hes doing. The grill is a bit too hot. Doesn't seem to matter because this patty is perfect. Bun is buttery and hot, oh... and chedder cheese. And I like the FLIP sauce. This burger is good. Despite Aaren Gs one star, I'll be back. Very humid in here today, not a lot of seating. My friend and I were there last week and came away disappointed. First of all, no diet soda. So we had water. Secondly, the music was blasting so we asked for it to be turned down, which they did with no problem. Then the food arrived. The french fries were great! But both hamburgers were almost raw. We complained and they cooked us 2 new ones but those were also pretty red in the center. We had to leave by then to make it to the movies so we just tossed them out. So first off we stopped in here walking by looking for somewhere to eat, I was a bit unsure initially because I do not eat chicken or hamburgers, however my children, husband and brother do; so I went in here half expecting to just get something to drink and sit while they ate. For starters the atmosphere is nice, the music is a little loud for my liking, however the seating is set up well, I liked that tables were not crammed next to each other and all over the place; they also had seating outside of the restaurant. My children and husband had the chicken burger, they had raves to say about it; they also liked the aioli sauce to dip the fries in. I had the mushroom burger and it was awesome, perfect portion size, the cheese recommended went great with it, and I did not get sick so they must take extra precautions when cooking their food which is greatly appreciated. Went to flip for the first time on recommendation of a friend. I got their special, a gyro burger. I can't sing praises of this grub enough!!! The burger was a blend of lamb and beef, perfectly seasoned, and the mix of the two meats kept the classic burger taste while also being able to catch lamb twist in there too. It was juicy, not greasy, and the produce, including cucumbers for the gyro effect, was fresh. The tzatziki sauce put it over the top. We tried flip Burgers today for the first time today on a whim. Planned to go to Thai but they were closed. Usually stop at Agave on our way home to Mount Shasta but wanted something different. We passed by Flip and liked the simplicity of the menu and the vibe of Agave's old digs, complete with the industrial look. My husband had a burger and fries and was easily convinced to try the real chocolate malt. Not many places give you the malt option and he is a fan. I had the portabello mushroom burger with grilled onions. We loved the smaller size of the burgers, who really needs a huge burger? My husband said the fries and malt were delicious. They just serve burgers and fries. That's it. Yes they have a chicken burger and a veggie burger but those are still burgers. And shakes -- they make milk shakes. But that's it. The burgers are terrific -- I thought it was a little in the small side but when combined with the fries it was just the right amount of food. The fries are spectacular -- really, really good. wow, things change. I can no longer recommend this establishment. Burgers have been nearly raw the past few times. today I specifically asked for well done. First bite and it was not cooked through. we took it back and instead of just cooking it more, the woman threw the burger in the trash. She rudely said she "didn't know why that happens." (undercooking) She said we'd have to wait 15 min for a new burger. Then, exasperated, she said, "Do you just want your money back?" We said yes, but then she said she couldn't because she couldn't find our order in the computer. I guess the receipt we had with the request for a well done burger was inadequate. We finally got our money back, but the service was so terrible we won't go back. I would have been happy to have the original burger cooked more, but that was not an option. Unfortunate that a cook whose sole job is to cook a burger can't do it competently. She said, "You took a bite." Duh, that's how I knew it was undercooked. read more
