The people here are very friendly, the donuts are very tasty and there is a good variety. The line can be a bit long but it's worth it.

Super friendly staff. We got half dozen, all six favors were great. Don't turn up your nose bc you don't see espresso folks, dress that delicious drip they are serving and then do the cost benefit analysis of eating there or taking to go. You may order more if you linger. I loved them all but wound up preferring the cake/donut ones versus the one fruit filled we got. Just my own opinion. It's worth a stop. read more

Just Meh. Was there at 7:30 and they only had glazed left. You could have chocolate or maple added but all other toppings were pre order only. Excellent hand made donuts! Very homey atmosphere. Other reviews complained about the temperature. There are fryers and ovens in the same area in which you eat, so yes, it can get warm. As for employees not wearing gloves, that is not accurate. The finished donuts are not handled by ungloved employees. Take away, if you want a great donut experience, this is the place to be! Get there early - they do sell out on the popular items. Want to make sure they have what you want? Call in the order the day ahead. I was not a huge fan of this place. The line was not long, but the staff was just messing around behind the counter. When we arrived we asked to see a menu of flavors or if they had aa sign and we got a very sarcastic response. After the long wait, the donuts were not anything special. I live in Wisconsin and right now as I am writing this I am thinking about driving back there through the night for these donuts. They are so amazing! Several choices to choose from. Very reasonably priced! Each one we tried were all wonderful. Come early, wait in line or they will be gone. First come first serve, when they sell out the place will close for the day! This is a small place right off of the beach in Emrald Isle. Ot is located right in front of the big fishing pier. This place is blowing up! This is my first time here. Passed this place all week, but this morning I woke up early to go and surprise the family with donuts on our last day on vacation. Got there just before 0700 and found I wasn't the first person in line. The smell waiting for it to open was incredible. Once inside, I found a display case of what donuts are available for the day. I didn't think to count how many different donuts were for sale. The only thing I didn't see was the cinnamon rolls I was disappointed but was told by the owner they had equipment malfunction making the cinnamon rolls. My disappointment left as soon as I bit into the maple cake donut. The texture of the donut was awesome, fresh and fluffy with a little crunch to the crust. The maple frosting was smooth and not over powering with maple flavor. I tried parts of the strawberry cake donut. Again, the donut was incredible. The strawberry frosting was delicious as well. I paid $1.39 apiece for the donuts. Not something I'll do every morning. But well worth the price. I can't wait to visit again in the summer. read more

If I could give this place less than one star, I would. This had to be the slowest, most poorly run establishment we've ever seen in our lives. What you need to know is the setup is weird- you don't know what doughnuts they have until you get up to the counter. The setup makes ordering slow so expect to wait. Very disappointed in what we found vs what we read about on yelp. The only donuts they had in stock were chocolate glazed, original and maple. My husband asked about sprinkles because he saw someone else with sprinkles and was told well we don't advertise sprinkles. None of the donuts pictured in prior reviews were available.
