I like the pizza at flippers. The pizza dough has a very good flavor. The service is excellent. I did not give them 5 stars because they like to hide the toppings under the cheese. Maybe they do that so you can't tell how they give you less and less toppings every time. I also wish they would have regular bread sandwiches. read more

If you are wanting a "not so good" time this is the place for you! We had never been here and wanted to give it a try. We walked to the checkout(?) and the girl told us to take a seat and someone would be with us shortly... Seven minutes later and nobody had greeted us or told us anything. Best in house pizza in town, staff is always very nice and that is a big plus these days. Generous portions and fresh salads. Good place!

Food was great, till we ordered another pizza, a hot wing pizza. I think there is more common sense in DC than chicken on this pizza. Even the waitress commented about this. I placed an order online for a child's pineapple pizza and ten inch chicken alfredo pizza with bacon added on. Needless to say, this pizza is overpriced at best. The children's pizza looked as if it was pre-frozen. Denny's makes a more presentable, and fluffier crust pizza! We ordered the original crust, not the thin crust. Regardless, there original crust is very thin. As far as the bacon we requested, there were a few slivers here and there of pre-cooked microwaved bacon- thin and shriveled. The bread sticks are descent. They remind me of 5-star garlic knots. I prefer 5-star garlic knots though. read more

Went to Flippers after church last night to enjoy a nice dinner. Instead it turned out to be not so nice. First we were served our Antipasto Salad. We asked if we could have a little more dressing as the little container was not quite enough to cover the salad. Yes, we could have more if we paid an additional 99 cents for it. We opted out of that and managed to spread the dressing around a bit more. Then our mypizza arrived. That is like a personal pan pizza, about the size of a small pizza. We ordered pepparoni. We got a cheese pizza with exactly 4 slices of pepparoni on it. One slice had 1 piece, one had 3 pieces and the last 2 had none. Of course we had to pay an up charge of $1.00 for those 4 pieces of pepparoni, 25 cents a piece. There was very little sauce on it and very little cheese. What a rip that was for $9.99. Left there feeling ripped off and of course will not return. We have ate there in the past and it has always been good. Don't know what happened last night. read more

Stopped in for early dinner. A nice casual place to have a pie. The service is very good. The food is good as well, fresh ingredients, fresh made. I particularly like the hand tossed crust. And they have a BLT salad that is also very good. read more

There was a group of eight. We were met by a server promptly. Our drinks were ordered and arrived quickly. After ordering our food it arrived hot and as ordered. Our server was very attentive and filled drinks as needed without asking. The pizza was really good and the dough was excellent. A good choice for pizza. My wife and I decided to get a bite to eat before seeing a movie. I remember when I moved to Orlando back in 1994 Flippers had great pizza. So we went to The Flippers in Clermont. Mistake. Not going back. Wife likes Caprese salad and the pic in the menu looked reasonable. Pic had 2x the chopped tomatoes and the lettuce was sparse. So much for menu pics. I could understand maybe an ad showing the product but one would figure that the pic in the restaurant table menu was actually assembled by the establishment. I guess I was wrong - But I don't think so. Cheese was fair portion - so I was confused as to why they skimped on the less expensive ingredients of tomatoes & lettuce? But when the pizza came out I was surprised on the lack topping on a Hawaiian pizza - It had some ham and some pineapple and some bacon. The waitress asked how things were and I told her it looks a bit sparse with the toppings. My wife said not all the slices had pineapple and the most on any slice might have been 3 - most only two or one. How do I remember this you ask- both are small numbers and easy to remember. Bacon was worse. I don't remember counting more that 5 pieces on the whole pie! Defending the chef she said the ingredients are measured/weighed out and continued to say the toping sometime slide to the middle. LOL - Really!?! I can understand the cheese maybe doing that but again they seem to skimp on the less expensive ingredients as the cheese was fine - but I didn't order a cheese pizza. I wondered if they gave us the small pizza portion on the median size pie?! After hearing her defending the product I just said. "OK, I'll keep looking for the toppings" and I said that if this is how you prepare it then that's what we get" I don't know if she mentioned this to the mgr. If I was the mgr I would want to know. Manager did not stop at our table. Never goin' back to a pizza place I always spoke highly of!! $16 for 14" bread and cheese and some other stuff!!! Not again. read more

If you like cold half cooked pizza poor customer service and over priced burned small portions of pasta that wouldn't fill up a toddler this is the place for you! When asked about the reason for poor good quality the response was "I don't know". Have been loyal to this restaurant and a regular patron since it opened and over the last six months it has gone to crap. The pizza was raw and ice cold missing several ingredients the garlic bread was dry with a large clump of basil thrown on the middle. The ten dollar pasta Alfredo was burned and didn't even come close to filling up my five year old who barely eats. Tonight was the LAST time my family will eat here. Save your money, the pizza and pasta in the freezer section at Walmart tastes better than this place and was probably assembled with more pride. Absolutely horrible on more than one occasion.
